Nessex Posted May 13, 2012 Share Posted May 13, 2012 I have to say that (some of) the appeal of these figures, for me at least, lies in their simplified forms. Sometimes a character truly warrants over sculpting. There's little doubt that Hulk Buster Iron Man could have been made using just the standard minimate form & a wok-shaped helmet. However, for the most part, i like the tubular arms, cylindrical heads & clam-shaped hands most minimates get. So long as there is some nod to the traditional form, i'm pretty happy. I find myself thinking that the 'mate's torso and arms are find, but then the legs only get 1-2 paint apps. Look at the Cap Movie Wave - Sculpted torsos, simple legs.
