Funko Pop!

Brian, the president of Funko, is doing a '12 Days of Christmas' thing where each day before the holiday he's announcing something new from the Pop line that should debut in 2013. Yesterday was Pulp Fiction, but today was Ninja Turtles. With 10 days left to go, it looks to be an amazing set of announcements. There are also protos that have been seen recently of Robocop and Watchmen. If only DST could do what they can do only with Minimates.

No pics just yet, but the announcements keep coming.

Another interesting look is Gemini Collectibles prototype sales, where you frequently get to see what's coming out before official announcements. The only thing crazier than there prices (for items they receive for free) is the fact that many of their items sell quite quickly. The Funko collecting world is easily one of the most insane I've ever seen.

Thanks for the linkage. It'll be a pretty awesome selection if they're already announcing TMNT & WD 2. I imagine they're saving the 'big guns' for the last day.

Although - i honestly don't know what new properties are going to be cooler than Marvel and MoTU, at least for this collector.

I will submit for arguement's sake that when the Funko Pop line finally ends, it will be considered the most comprehensive figure line ever made of cool looking figures. Kubrick's will probably have more characters made, but not nearly as cool as these:

Kill Bill could be fun - but the line-up sounds more like Vol. 1 than 1 AND 2. Perhaps they'll announce some more characters in the future?

I could be up for an Elle Driver figure. Maybe in her Nurses outfit or her classic black look.

My girlfriend got me the Joker for Christmas. So after adding that to Bumble, Rudolph and Santa, I think that officially makes a collection....which is a tad worrying.

I'm now planning on tracking down the remaining Christmas pops for our decorations next year....which makes the Elf on the Shelf pop I passed up in Target while on vacation a bit painful. The rest are fairly easy to pick up for near RRP but this one is over double.

If anyone sees one whilst browsing in the sales and can pick one up for me it would be greatly appreciated!

Unfreakingbelievable. I've never seen a company just throw out that kind of info about the next year just because it's Christmas. And that's not to mention the fact that last month the president of Funko ran several daily raffles to giveaway special made prototypes to fans on the Funko board (which he does every year). Their fans are some of the most intense I've ever seen and it's because of things like this that keeps them that way.
