  1. This is something I have been working on four or five months ago. Yes, some parts had to be custom-made and painted, but hey - it was better than nothing. Alias Smith and Jones was Glen A. Larson's first TV success in 1971 based on the runaway success of Butch Cassidy & the Sundance Kid in 1969. The series is also notable for Pete Duel's suicide on New Year's Eve that same year. After two years, it ended in January 1973 the same time Bonanza aired its final episode. My Bonanza minimates - well, sadly I had to part with them and recycle most of the parts generally because of cost and price. The hats were made from the Tony Stark Cowboy Disguise headpiece and the Rick Grimes hat from said figure from The Walking Dead line. Still, with the only parts I have with me on hand, I was able to recreate the main characters from the show. I haven't got the horses yet, but I'm sure I can find some in this scale, so please leave your thoughts, I'd appreciate that.
  2. Say, if anybody out there is wanting to make a Western diorama or a train diorama, then what kinds of trains would best suit the scale of your minimates? Also, it would be a great opportunity to make your own BTTF3 train, too.
  3. Ok so I bought some Citadel paints. In the set I got I had issues with a couple of the individual paints. Firstly, the white I got didn't seem to be sealed right so it's all chunky. Is there anything I can do to salvage some of it like add water or anything? Or should I just chuck it? Secondly, my gold came the opposite way, totally watery. Can I fix that or no? Next, what is some advice for removing paints from minimate parts? I have used goof off in the past to remove tampos but what it you want to remove the paint from a hairpiece? Are they molded in that color plastic or can it be removed? For example I want to recolor mystique's hair from the days of future past box set. I know it can be a pain to paint over reddish colors. So is there an option to strip the color off first? Thanks in advance!
  4. I could have sworn there was a Stryfe minimate out there, and remembering he's bulky as all heck. I can't seem to find him anywhere, but he looked so legit, and I remembering wanting to pass on him, at the time, iwas more of a "purist" and loathed bulky armor accessories(TGI moved on from that) but after getting the new X-force box-set, I now really want him. But, nothing! was I dreaming, or did I see a really good custom? With love, Sugolf
