Minimate compatibility thread
cylonchaney replied to karamazov80's topic in Crisis of Infinite Minimates
Nobody thinks of the poor Playmobil having to stand there all day, day after day, with no mask. -
Hi Shane, Just an FYI, since the latest update, links that would normally take me to the most recent post in a thread now take me to the first post on page 1. Search does not work so well. I was trying to find the old Translucent Tuesday Fight Club by Geohound. The word fight only has two hits. I'm pretty sure that word exists in more than 2 threads. Neither Tuesday nor tuesday get any results. I tried various combinations of the thread title words and could not find it. So, I thought I'd look up Geohound and use one of the view content functions to find it. It took me a bit to figure out that member search is case sensitive so geohound finds no results but Geohound finds one. So I found Geohound's profile and clicked on Find Content. Takes me to a page with a heading, Everything Posted by Geohound, but no content listed. From the left menu I selected Topics and finally found my precious TTFC thread. If I had not remembered the author, I would never have found it the way search seems to be working currently. Not complaining. And I know you'll happily return every penny I paid for MMMV membership. Just wanted to make you aware of a couple of issues. It would be a shame if people couldn't find TTFC. One last thing. Definitely not important these days, but I vacationed in Thailand back in February of this year and every time I tried to logon to the verse from hotel wifi, I got some kind of banned message. Using phone data it worked fine. Wasn't just one hotel or one city. Cheers. And thanks for continuing to run the multiverse! I'm sure it's often a thankless job.

Minimate compatibility thread

We'd have lots of Playmobil vehicles to choose from. The 2" size is why I have collected so many though. -

If the 3" mates had become the standard, pretty much the whole Playmobil-verse would be in scale. -
Don't know why but this made me think of Andre the Giant in Princess Bride, "My way is not very sportsman-like"

Suddenly I have a craving for green apple Jolly Ranchers for some reason.

Every time I see Homelander, I think how much I would like a minimate of him. The Boys would be a great property for minimates!

Holding back my huge rant, modern Trek is not really Trek and the shows suck. Opinion, I know. The problem is that too many people agree with me for the shows to drive any toy sales. I would buy Trek mates just in the hope of getting some older stuff. But there just wouldn't be enough interest. Trek is in the same death spiral as Star Wars. And personally, I think it would be a bad business decision to make merchandise based on either franchise at the current time. Sad as I am to say so.

DC Minimates & everlasting optimism

We're expressing interest in the license and hope for minimates. Valuable marketing data for DST! -
I wonder if John Moschitta Jr. can still talk fast enough to do new MicroMachines commercials.

Empathy is an admirable character trait, Mr. PL. Selfishness, less so. My first thought was maybe DST can go after a minimate license again.

Minimate compatibility thread

Minimates are almost exactly the same height as a playmobil child. I use playmobil horses for my dollars trilogy mates. They're a little big but good enough for me. I think the vehicles would be too over scale personally. Furniture is hit and miss. -
New Licenses, What would YOU like to see Minimated ?

ED-209 Vinimate would be a good compliment if there were minimates. -

I'd buy that for (more than) a dollar! That reminds me, "I'd buy that for a dollar!" guy needs to be included somehow and a 6000 SUX vehicle. -

For the first two movies, I could probably justify 2 4-packs per. I would not buy any merchandise from the 3rd movie because it was such a disappointment. Would love to see Kane / Robocop 2, Emil / Melting Emil, ED-209 (underscale minimate size) among others. At least the endos work as an army builder. -

We did actually get the T1 versions of the T-800 and Kyle Reese because of a flashback scene and there were already plenty of endoskeletons. But maybe if they gave us new versions of all those characters. Hydraulic Press Damaged Endoskeleton would have been cool. Extra head with the eye going out. I could also have sworn we got the Tech Noir look terminator but I was wrong. -

Happy Birthday Shane!

Every time this thread gets bumped, my heart skips a beat. DC minimates are back! Oh ... Vinimates. Sigh. (no offense DST)

I would like to see ANYTHING non-marvel make it to retail at this point. This makes me sad.
