I think the problem with the new 52 stuff is most folks don't have the same attachment they have with the old DCU hellpop. I like the look of Shazam, but I'm not going to go out my way to pick him up. I was able to find a Hawkman that Target was clearancing out for around $11 and some change. This was a fair price, still, I think these are basically $10 toys. If it doesn't come with a BAF/C&C piece it isn't worth $15 to me. Would be nice if I could find the rest of the JLA that have been released, but I'm sure some of the local guys have already scooped them up. So let's talk about the sub. Anyone renewing with what they've announced so far? Some of the characters are nice, but I don't think it is enough to make people pick it up. In some ways it kind of feels like Matty is sitting on their hands a bit. Because I'm not 100%, but I'm pretty damn sure that the cyro suit had a prototype ages ago and the regular Doomsday is just about recasting from what they've already done. Nothing new to see there. I have the same feeling about the line up that I have with the new 52. There's no real attachment for me. I stopped reading JLA about the time they introduced Vibe. Because of it, I think I'm done with the sub. No incentive for me to re-up for another year. I'll cherry pick and take my chances.

Who is that Twisted? It really is a nice looking figure. Oh, and aren't the Toybiz team basically working for Hasbro now? I think Q/C has gone out the window on too many lines these days. Love the figures, but the price is preventing me from getting fully into this line. I'm going to build Iron Monger and definitely pick up that Ultron. Great looking figure.

Awesome job Michael, kudos to you for being hardcore and finishing it up. I get frustrated with my son's Thomas Take & Play I found this when doing a quick google search. Pretty nice visuals for folks like me that aren't mechanically inclined. Still need to tackle this, but my house is still in the inbetween projects. Flooring is almost there, but this last half of the hallway is dragging out.

I'm a Gears of War collector myself. Kind of wish Hudson came with a second head and I'm a little concerned that the line won't finish with Aliens. So I'm sticking with strictly GoW for now.

That does suck Jeff. I'd recommend calling Microsoft and seeing what it would cost to repair it. If it is too much to repair, I'd see about investing in a new one. Been there myself and lucky for me I bought mine at Costco. I had it happen twice and both times I just returned it and bought a new one with the price difference. I just picked up Farcry 3 yesterday, but haven't had the chance to fire it up yet. At the moment my unplayed library is starting to stack up. So I have more than a few things to play until I can work out who has the best system for my needs.

I've been in a rut lately and haven't started playing much of anything. Been bouncing back and forth between Halo 4 multi and Lego Batman, since those are one's I can play in front of my 4 year old.

Honestly, I think both sides are grasping at straws at this point. Much ado about nothing since we won't really know until both are released. I'd probably go with PS4 if there were more games announced that I'd actually play. The last thing I want to be is like a few of my friends. They primarily use their PS3's as BD players. I just picked up a Sony BD player at Costco and just love the shit out of it. So user friendly and easy to use.

Finished up the Judgement campaign and going to start the aftermath campaign once everyone goes to be tonight. Might go back to Mass Effect after this. Still haven't finished up the first game.

This is kind of my way of thinking on the whole situation. This has been one of the topics at the dinner table with my wife as of late. Something we both agree on is to move forward things need to change. Because if they didn't we'd still being playing our old Atari, Nintendo, etc. consoles.

Well d'ya like the other Elder Scrolls games? I don't know. Ady suggested Oblivion for my mrs. ages ago and she ended up not playing it. So I have no experience with it other than that. I've heard some good things on both games, I'm just trying to get my bang for my buck experience. Especially with both being on sale at Target at the moment.

Aha, that's what I thought. I'm starting to do that myself. Although it bites me in the butt every so often when going from my downstairs to my upstairs console. Ended up just putting Judgement on my flash drive for the moment. So I have a gift card and wondering if I should pick up Tomb Raider or Skyrim. Not sure when I'll play either, but don't want to let it go to waste.

I ask you this before, but you never got back to me. How do you store your games, do you have multiple hard drives Neo? I'm waiting for the Lego LOTR's to hit the $20 mark. Still need to pick up Lego POTC game, but still need to finish up the Batman and Harry Potter's first. I just wrapped up Halo 2 and really hope this gets the remake like Halo did. Really fun, but bummed that none of my play is added to my accomplishments or rewards. Started playing GoW: Judgement today and not sure how I feel about this one. As much as I love Baird, I can't understand why they didn't go with Marcus and what lead up to him being thrown in prison. I was under the impression that this was supposed to be on Emergence Day and it feels like they already have a bunch of intel on the locust. Kind of bummed when one of my favorites let me down.

Finished up Dead Space and started playing the first Lego Batman. Really fun game, although the AI partners can block you at times. Might try and finally fire up Gears of War: Judgement in the next few days. I've been too tired to do much of anything lately or at least something that takes a bit of an attention span.

Nicely done. I remember as a kid making something similar with empty nampkin boxes and pen cylinder containers for my Mego figures.

Yeah, I'm feeling that whole "Fool me once, fool me twice" scenario when it comes to re-uping. Not to mention too rich for my blood at this point and I can't sign up a 3rd year of a blind buying.

I was able to meet both West and Ward a few weeks back at Emerald City Comicon. West seemed at ease with the fans and I actually got a fist bump when we talked about him and Rob Low in a Family Guy episode. Ward seemed a bit less fan friendly. I'm not sure if that is because I ask his handler if I could take his picture of him autographing his Robin photo and he didn't get to plug his dog food product? Still, I was one happy geek that day.

Zach, I actually just bought that and When Harry Met Sally on bluray a few weeks back. My wife's contribution was V for Vendetta, somehow that feels a little backwards doesn't it? Been out of the loop, are these at LCBS or TRU or both?

This is the deal kiddies & some of us old farts. A lot of folks want to associate(solely) Abrams with the over use of lens flare, but his idol Spielberg was doing it long before him or any other directors. Go back and watch The Indiana Jones Trilogy. Lens flare out the ass in those movies alone. As I said when I saw this on Facebook, I'm cautiously optimistic. Hopefully it is set in the future. They have been some great stories in some of the Dark Horse comics series.

So I started playing Halo 2. I know that they updated Halo with the Combat Evolved Edition. Do you think they'll get around to this one too? For the most part it isn't bad, the human's faces don't really measure up, but it isn't that distracting. Story is fun of course.

Started playing Black OPS II a few nights ago and kind of feeling lukewarm on this one. It isn't the storyline, but the game play that is causing me to feel this way. It just feels so frantic. Now I know better than anyone that's how it is in a combat zone, but it just feels over the top. I'm playing whatever the normal settings are and I can't even line up a shot half the time and then I'm dead. I haven't seen AI's this useless since Resident Evil 5. Not trying to start any bashing on this particular game. Just trying to get a sense of what others think about it without it resorting to that. I've liked the previous stuff.

I've heard some good things about Far Cry 3. I'm going to start up on Black OPS II sometime this weekend. Been too exhausted to play much outside of the 45 minutes of Halo 4 the past few nights.

I hear you on the Geo. I tend to save the games on my HD, but it looks like I may need to do some cleaning up to free up some space back up. I played a little of the SO's a few nights ago, pretty fun and like the continuation of the storyline. Going to probably start playing Black OPS II once I get everyone settled. Started to play and took a bit of time to get my bearings. Hopefully I do better this go round.
