  1. Weird, looks exactly like the Denys Cowan run of Question (excepts for the breasts...didn't see that at first). I guess the new 'female' Question has the same outfit? I think a repaint to Ditko's classic Question costume might be really neat. Anyways, I'm really liking this set. You just can't get too oddball with me, I love the surprises and hope they keep coming! I'd rather see three or four characters I *don't* know (new or old), than 3-4 rehashes anyday.
  2. Hmm, I was way off on my Wave 8 guess. So, I'm just going to try it again...with the hopes that I was just behind a wave! Superboy/Eradicator Superman Aqualad/Black Manta The Question/Giganta Vigilante (Cowboy)/Shining Knight
  3. My plan exactly. I was actually debating whether to buy an extra Hawkman set for just that reason.
  4. I'm pretty happy overall, only a few of them are in costumes I don't really care for. Really surprised (and glad) that Havok will show up on his classic costume. The Namor costume was a smart choice, because with just a few mini swaps, you can probably have the both of best worlds.
  5. I know that my wallet has been doing its part to keep the DCD line surviving! Sometimes I'm kind of glad that Marvel hasn't been so quick to jump on the diversity bandwagon. I'd hate to have to...you know...make "choices" between the two.
  6. I second most all of Mystery Man's suggestions. My personal faves would be: Constrictor/El Aguila. Blacklash. White Tiger. Gladiator (Daredevil's villain). Eel. Plant Man. Trapster. Wizard. Thundra. Melter. Sorry, got carried way with the list! If only one...I'd go with Constrictor.
  7. Hmm, there seems to be a gap between the cape and his back. I wouldn't be surprised if some goodies end up there later. Also, he has two "holster" things, so maybe a knife and a gun?
  8. Hmm, can't find my last guess. But pretty sure none of them made it. So here's my new guesses. Thinking it's time to head back to Superman, more Justice League Unlimited/Legion of Doom characters, and how about an Aquaman knockoff? Superboy/Eradicator Superman Aqualad/Black Manta The Question/Giganta Vigilante (Cowboy)/Shining Knight And if they want to go a little more obscure...perhaps switch out Aqualad with his Tempest outfit.
  9. Stunned by the choices for this wave. I had to keep telling myself that these aren't fake (and I'm still doubting it!) as I scrolled thru the picks. I didn't think I could be surprised anymore by DC's choices and yet, it happened AGAIN! All look great to me! Still can't believe they made an Ambush Bug! Woohoo!
  10. I'm skipping this one. I wanted to pick up a couple for parts, but the price is too much. Having a hard enough time keeping up with the DC Waves and the regular Marvel waves!
  11. Hmm, Marvel Two-in-One first came out in 1974 though...
  12. Thanks Boyd, where did you end up getting yours? Whenever I ask at comic shops, they just give me weird looks.
  13. Add me to the list of people looking for an old Comic Spinner Rack. I've been checking out some antique furniture stores, but no luck so far.
  14. I'd go with either a Masters of Evil or an Iron Man villains theme. Something like: Radioactive Man/Scorpion Whirlwind/Tiger Shark Ultron/Moonstone Variant: Red Cowl (Ultron) I'd pretty much die if I saw the following set: Spymaster/Ghost Crimson Dynamo/Titanium Man (2.5) Whiplash/Melter Variant: Iron Monger/Obadiah Stane?
  15. Pretty sure it was an Absorbing Man/Captain America pack. I know it was at a Toys r Us for sure, because I never go in there. I might've been looking for Heroclix? I saw them and dismissed them as being "too cute". I guess I changed my mind at some point and went back. I think what hooked me is that they had made alot of Marvel characters (like Absorbing Man) that I never saw made into toys when I was a kid. At any rate, the fever took hold and soon I was tracking down Classic X-Men boxed sets and bubble two-packs. Yay for plasti-crack! Edit: I started inbetween waves 4 and 5. So I was able to get Captain America/Absorbng Man, but also get some of the wave 4 minis later like Doc Ock/Spidey.
  16. Awesome Luke! Cool props and Sabretooth's costume is so clean and detailed.
  17. That would make a cool 2-pack. Then I'd buy...multiples of those!
  18. Im guessing you could use some sort of non-permanent adhesive to keep them in place like that blue Sticky tack or somesuch.
  19. Well, I've used Cornerstorecomics for the last several orders and had no problems. But recently they've been incommunicado regarding my DC Series 3 pre-order. I've sent two emails asking about status and not a word back. Getting a little concerned...
  20. I would second a Metal Men, Teen Titans (Wolfman/Perez era), or Legion of Doom set. How about Watchmen? Rorshach Comedian Nite-Owl Silk Spectre Ozymandias Dr Manhattan (2.5") LSH Villains Mano Emerald Empress Validus (2.5") Persuader LSH Lightning Lad Cosmic Boy Saturn Girl Chameleon Boy Colossal Boy (2.5") LSH 2 Timber Wolf Karate Kid Invisible Kid Wildfire Blok (2.5")
  21. Well DC is pulling out all the stops, making much more fun but harder to guess nowadays. Batgirl (mute/current)/Lady Shiva Green Lantern (GA)/Solomon Grundy Metamorpho/Giganta Hawk/Dove Giganta is my hunch, but I'm not sure who to pair her with. I went with the newest Batgirl, since the last wave includes Supes characters, so this one will probably be Bats. Otherwise, I would say Clark Kent would be really guess for the next wave.
