i went in to TRU monday and picked up some BSG minimates and the cashier asked i found everything so i told her i wanted the new marvel minimates.she told me they would be in on wednesday night and to try back thursday morning.well,i went in thursday afternoon and all i found was wolverine/vault guard and spiderman/electro.but it sure was refreshing to find someone at TRU that knew what they were talking about

did i miss a announcement somewhere?

i love all of these! especially multiple man and angel.to me Madrox kinda looks like a cross between his comic outfit and the movie version head and i'm with the thinking of original angel being there because of a boxed set.i mean,there's 5 original X-men,and didn't Chuck say in a Q&A a while back that boxed sets were sticking to the 4 figure format?it makes sense as a way for us to get all 5

whereabouts are you in northern cali?i'm in the area and i'm going today to look for em.

i hadven't seen any reviews or anything else about them,but are the Platoon 'mates released already?there's numerous listing on ebay for them(at good prices too) and they all say they're 'in hand'

heck,i won something off DST's myspace over a year ago,mailed them 4 times,got two replies saying"send me your address and i'll send you your prize and something extra for your patience" and then a month and a half later emailed them again and haven't heard back since.that was last march i believe.so i'm a bit skeptical about emailing them over the broken part of my stealth ironman

am i the only one who noticed the black panther isn't on there?i looked over the whole sheet and never found him

i went to the only comic shop i know of that carries minimates and managed to pick up both versions of Six for $4.99 each.they had the remains of one display case,and it had one of each cylon centurians,two regular Sixs,and one Dead six.and strangely enough,the centurians were all $5.99

My parents got rid of most of my toys when we moved countries in 1990, so I can honestly say I haven't once thought about MASK in about 18 years, but I really loved that yellow guy with the bike-copter too! If they remake him (especially if it was with the bike) I would want one for sure... I don't remember much about MASK though -- was it tied into GI Joe somehow, or is Hasbro just randomly throwing it into the Joe line because they have the license sitting around? hasbro bought kenner,the makers of MASK years ago.i read somewhere that they had even said they were going to start popping in other MASK characters in the Joe line as well.

let's see.. -visor-less cyclops -mask-less dr doom -spider-womanII -archangel -vision 2.0 i found cyke and dr doom and spider-woman at the comic shop,and the other two i got in a great deal on ebay(two full sets of 19 and 20 plus the zombie boxed set and black panther pack for $50 including shipping :biggrin: )

i guess i was lucky in getting my blue blank.I actually got it as a surprise added bonus from a ebay seller when i bought a entire series from him as for FCBD mates,i can only hope they become rare since a comic book shop owner friend of mine sent me two bags of them

it's not really that much of a modification.i simply used the space where the ark sits and instead build a throne out of extra pieces from a hogwarts set and removed the 'snake dropping' feature since it was too low to allow Apocalypse to sit..i also took the rest of the pieces from the hogwarts set and build a tomb for Apocalypse to rest in(although the current version has him standing up since it's so tall).i'm in the process of moving so when i find my digital camera i'll posts some pics for y'all to see.

i picked up the lost tomb set and modified it into a temple/throne room for Apocalypse

i have to say my favorite is the iron weenie

there are alot of people who've made vipers on mocpages and brickshelf,and alot of them used the lego digital designer program you can download free from lego's site.the good thing about it is you can send people your templates of the ships you made on it.you can also upload the template to lego using the digital designer and it'll give you a price estimate and part list and even lets you order the whole thing as a set with instructions printed out,all in a neat little box :biggrin: if you ask the people with the designs on mocpages and brickshelf,they're usually pretty willing to send you their templates.

I'd love to see Bionic Six minimates they could even make a 2.5" or 3" F.L.U.F.F.I. maybe break it down with a hero and villan in each pack : wave 1 bionic 1/dr.scarab mother 1/madame o IQ/glove perceptor/shadow boxer and maybe a variant pack of "bionics on"transformation bionic 1/scarab wave 2 sport 1/mechanic karate 1/klunk rock 1/chopper elemental/zyphron variant :elemental/beta zyphron

ok,so i emailed them a few times through their myspace and customer service and haven't heard anything.my myspace emails weren't even read.i just tried through customer service again and maybe i'll hear atleast something since it's after the new year and not near a holiday.

i just hope this doesn't mean another minimate series of kirk n' friends.i'm seriously dreading the news that it does and that we won't be seeing tng or another series.

i called the only FYE near me and asked and the guy on the phone said "um,about two weeks ago we got some spiderman thingies,um,for like when the movie came out,but,um,they were on clearence and,um,we sold the last one two days ago.but,yeah,they were like these little spiderman figure thingies" and this was after giving a more than accurate description of what i was asking for.so i guess my best bet is to just go all the way there and look for myself but i'm not very hopeful since that store has never received any type of minimate.

i wonder if next year's speed racer movie lego sets also might have something to do with why there aren't any new minimates.

according to here they are expected to be released on the 15th of january.

not complaining myself either,but i'm glad to see i'm not the only one who never got their target giveaway mates for a while there i started thinking they just didn't like to ship anything to my neck of the woods,especially since over a month ago i won a figure through dst's myspace and still never received it
