Well, I think we could do some stories to fill out some slots. I’ve heard people don’t like army builders in the boxsets but as someone who buys multiple box sets it’s never bothered me. I bought several of wave 2 MMPR to display the cast changes but I wish we had a for for them like a Puddy. Imagine a uniform set of Hellions Vs New Mutants (in the new X costume) packed with the accessories to make more. The 5th figure could be a Genosian Solider or a Friends of Humanity Person or a Zero Tolerance Sentinel. 
 

I’d love them to finish off teams as well. Greg Cap’s Feral, Moonstar, Warpath, Sunspot and Stryfe would be a great 5 pack.

I don't imagine I would be the only one disappointed if when we finally get Crystal she's in a white costume wearing a bomber jacket. 

At this point I’d take a Crystal head packed into an FF pack. How a member of the Avengers, FF, Inhumans, and married into the X-men has never had a figure is actually obscene.

Anyways. Based on Zach's earlier comments 

 

I would be comfortable saying that it doesn't HAVE to be Wolverine. Could be a Storm variant, could be a Colossus variant. Could be loopholes saying that they're looks we haven't seen. Could be entirely fresh. 

I trust DST to not make the same mistake 20th Century Fox made in considering Wolverine as the only X-Men member. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

It would have to be an A Lister and I think that knocks out the X-Factor team since they just got released in those costumes. It’s been years since the Outback team was released in 2012 (Hail Ivan)! So it could be fair to have everyone as a potential (including Sabertooth) but I don’t know if any of the team is a big enough name to offset the really lesser known ones. 🤷🏻‍♂️

and PS, she’s still Wolverine. 😘

I agree with you it’s gorgeous but it’s hard to do Inferno without Maddy, Sinister, Magik, and one of the demons Sym/Naistra. That leaves one a lot left and no “big names” so Wolverines dad it is.

Welllllll baby Christoper was a pretty important character for at least 5 years. He was around from Uncanny 200 til about 271 and drove a lot of story. I for one am happy to have one for my X-Factor display but know he’s not for everyone.

I have to say, an army builder 4 pack is really what I hear people talk about. Whether it’s two joes and two cobras or three cobras and a joe if an all cobra pack isn’t an option. This always makes me appreciate the work and care of the MAX line. That 4 pack with Kate and the others took the multiple purchase cake until the StrikeForce wave came out. Fingers crossed that we get something that sells like hot cakes. Know that crowd funding isn’t a preferred way forward for this but I would be on the hook minimum for 8 packs as my addiction likes 7 of every army builder whilst my boy scout side likes to keep one mint in box.

For Marvel Series 86 is based on a 1990s storyline, and has two new characters, plus one who has only been done animated. Series 87 is an 80s storyline allegedly mutant related, and has two new characters again, plus one in a new outfit that is very different from the one we have. Is likely Inferno. 
 

new characters: N’Aistra or however you spell it. The new outfit character is probably Illyana but could be a red herring for Maddy or Cable.

I could see:

Dark Child (Silver Armor)

Goblyn Queen (Tamer)

Naistra (those Demon wings from DND)

Sym

Goblin Wolverine’s Dad 

pack in baby Cable in a telekinesis bubble like dungeon master.  Although I’d prefer Gateway. 

Thinking it through… could the “Inferno” set have a baby Cable with it encased in a ball similar to the dungeon master? That’s a way to show off a character we have in a way we definitely don’t have him in.

It really is! I even retired my Can of beams version. Who knows maybe the telepathy burst will be coming soon!

80s X-men has a lot to cover! From the end of Dark Phoenix to the Brood Saga all the way to the Siege Perilous storyline with Lady Mandarían. As much as I would want Inferno, Fall of the Mutants also exists in that era. Perhaps Malice as Polaris is the alternative looked character since the tooling for Darkchylde could be expensive. I did manage to kitbash one in the silver version so maybe it’s not too hard.
