  1. Just out of curiosity, is there anyone who just collects the animated lines? I know there are people who only buy comic versions and people who only buy movie versions. I'm just curious to see if it works the other way around.
  2. Will we be seeing tray/packaging shots for these soon?
  3. Gotta say I prefer the Villains box set Magneto. I never liked the way the AOA helmet looked outside of AOA Magneto. Villains has a nice, old school look.
  4. I got mine a while back, but did these ever hit stores widespread? I just checked the TRU website and all three sets are still available (hint, they're listed as Wave 23). For those of you who did get these at physical locations, did they all move? Any pegwarmers?
  5. Exact same scenario here (Central New York). I only needed a Zemo set. Surprised these are already showing up since I feel like I just bought that Medusa.
  6. Not even joking, Daimon Hellstrom is one of my top ten favorite Marvel characters. I voted for him and Mindless Ones. The Mindless Ones have such a unique design.
  7. DST always goes out of their way to make interesting Minimates out of civilian characters. There's more opportunity to do that here than there was for many of the civilians they've tackled in the past. Count me in.
  8. Quicksilver briefly had wing feet during Roy Thomas's Avengers run. I don't think he ever wore them in his X-Men appearances.
  9. A nice Spidey-themed Army Builder would be a henchman/thug type. It's been a while since the Mob Thug and I don't know if anyone besides me army built him... You could switch out parts to make The Burglar (he had pretty distinct look). It's possible you could swap something like Uncle Ben or Hammerhead out of it too. Or Crime-Master!
  10. Just got mine today, here's some quick mods and pics: Early Avengers Quicksilver mod The Brotherhood of Mutants Professor X comparisons The OG X-Men These Minimates could be worth $2500 to you!
  11. In theory, that would also include stuff like Simpsons and Family Guy, right? That' a pretty big chunk of pop culture!
  12. I picked Eternity. I don't want larger Minimates or Vinimates at all so character size has no effect on my wants. The character design is just out of this world awesome and he's impossible to customize properly.
  13. Bendis pretty much single handily drove me away from comics so this is big news. I haven't picked up a new comic in almost a decade and The Epic Collection program gives me enough reading material to where I just don't need to read anything else. Marvel still has a ton of problems but this is an enormous step in the right direction. I'll take a wait and see approach.
  14. There's room for improvement on Juggernaut if they decide to go there. He could have the skullcap under his helmet, a brighter color scheme, and a torso riser.
  15. This thread need pics. Carrion was one I was really looking forward to and he doesn't disappoint. Kind of surprised to see the float stand back in circulation and it seems like a new version of it. Kind of hollow. Still doesn't fit that foot snug. His wrist bands are reuse but he gets new parts for the ties. They would look awesome on an 80's rocker. BROS! The star of the set. I love how the face looks like the default Peter Parker that DST has established. That's hard to do working in such a minimalist style. I know nothing about Gwenpool but the details came out nice. I like the blend from pink to blonde on the hairpiece, something you don't see often. All that pink definitely makes her stand out. Somebody who hasn't been around in a while would love this: I like the new costume more than I thought I would. The chain on her waist hangs off the back. Hair seems New? Unworthy and worthy. Not much to say here. Here's the Collector with his zoo: And here's Quicksilver stealing his hair: BIG thanks to a helpful board member! I'll help people out if I ever see these. It's really a great wave!
  16. Everyone can probably guess who the only-made-once Avengers is, but Avengers membership has become so bloated there's more that qualify than you would think. If you take a combined comic/film/animated approach, these Avengers have only been Minimate'd once: Ares Black Knight Captain Marvel (Mar-Vell) Sharon Carter Firestar Hercules Human Torch (Hammond) Mantis Marrina Medusa Ms. Marvel (Khan) Nova (Rider) Quake Songbird Spectrum (Rambeau) Squirrel Girl Sunspot Tigra Vision (Jonas) Trish/Patsy Walker/Hellcat Wasp (Janet van Dyne) White Tiger (Ava Ayala)
  17. I'm really liking what I've seen of this film so far. Everyone is all psyched, and rightfully so, for Infinity War and this one's kind of creeping up out of nowhere. Panther has always been one of my favorite characters (I was super into the Priest run) and I'm glad they seem to be taking some elements from that.
  18. Just got a set in the mail off eBay today despite the fact I was at the ##@%ing con. Here's some pics: Packaging is basic. Just the Contest of Champions and related logos. The characters name is not present. Each come with a clear display stand. Here's the figures underneath the add ons. Sculpted arm on Guillotine. The shield looks pretty cool. The sword is from the old Psylocke and original Hand Ninja figures. Civil Warriors shield has the ring glued in.
  19. Willie Lumpkin would also be incredible. I could see DST bending over backwards to give him cool unique accessories!
