  1. Hey great to meet you Duano12! I'm also pretty new to the site, I have grown to love it in a very short time however. A great place to discuss our mates, and always a lot of very friendly people around to lend a hand. Anyway nice that you introduced yourself, what are your favorite Minimates?
  2. Thank you Shogi, I'll surely have to pick some up, I love the glossy look it gives as well.
  3. Pretty neat pictures, like the enviorment the mates are in! I'm still a bit scared to remove mine from the box. Is that paint stuff pretty common to find and not too spendy?
  4. I guess that would make more sense releasing it with an actual Mumm-ra mate, any Thundercats are much welcome! The series has me excited, seems the sets are stocked well, which I am liking a lot.
  5. I am curious to why they would leave out Ma-Mutt from that series 2 set.
  6. So the other 2 sets will only be at NYCC? Or will any other place be selling them?
  7. I'm still waiting on my set, but been reading about the logos rubbing off? Are there a lot of issues with the Thundercats set? Anyway I have been away from the internet for quite a bit this summer, so I am just getting back into the internet thing, hope all has been well around here. I'm extremely excited about this new series, I'm just a bit scared of the quality of the mates. PS just picked up the Platoon boxset and I am really happy with the buy! ( Been looking for the set for a good while )
  8. Okay I just bought the back to the future II set recently, it was a used set, but in great condition. I paid $60 for the set, I am wondering is this too steep? It was the set I have been wanting most of any Minimate set and when I finally had a chance to buy it I went for it. I mean I missed out on so many auctions on ebay over the year or so, it seemed like $60 was a bit high, but I seen a lot of sets go for over $100, being new of course. I guess I am asking how much is too much?
  9. Using your pug as a fill in lol <3 The skin grid is a very cool feature, makes it so anyone can jump into making stop motion, which gets me excited for a project. It'd be fun to do some type of Back to the future project. Would be neat if you did a short goonies/ship scene with you customs you did. Would love to see them displayed with your ship sometime. So you go way back in the stop motion business huh? Shoulder camcorders were great for filming rides at Disneyland when I was younger. I remember just years ago I borrowed my parents 1980 something or another camcorder, boy did I get some funny looks from people. I figured they thought I was crazy or with some news crew. lol Anyway I always preferred them over hand held for the steadiness they had, that would have been a neat feature tho' indeed to have.
  10. Thanks for the link, I'll have to venture over there and check it out. Hey never know, might give me a reason to toss at the ol' lady next time she is wondering why I spent so much on a set.
  11. I won't go into great detail with the set ideas, I usually do my detailed ideas in a post I made, but here are a few. Movie Minimates Escape from New York Escape from L.A. Tombstone Revenge of the nerds Wizard of Oz Dawn of the dead Night of the living dead Cheech & Chong ( Up in smoke ) The Goonies Rambo Ace Ventura I'm a big fan of the movie/tv minimates, it's what attracted me to collecting these. Honestly any movie they want to minimate is fine by me. I'm still upset we didn't get a Rocky 3 set, or the Beverly hills cop set. TV Shows Survivor Twilight Zone Taxi MASH A Team Land of the giants Magnum PI
  12. Welcome to the board, or welcome back that is! I'm pretty new to the site myself, but always great meeting the minimate fans around here.
  13. Thanks you guys, I am always worried on breakage happening, I was just thinking a few days ago, that most my minimates are weaker in the legs area, arms always seem to be pretty well attached. I try not to mess with them a whole lot once I have them placed how I like, but after a bit, I find myself changes poses or what not, its hard to keep from bending them around some. Thanks for all the helpful tips on these minimates, some of them have me worried for breakage wise, but I will try using some of these tips and take it extra careful when handling those ones.
  14. Thank you Jeff! I just tinkered with it some, and it finally came off fairly easy. I had been wanting to check out his chest piece. Pretty neat! Thanks again, hope all has been well for you.
  15. I was wondering on a few mates I have, I have a Eastwood Marty Mcfly I tried taking the head off him, but it didn't want to come off, will I break it if it comes off? I have a few other mates like that one, but fear breaking them, if anyone could lend some information on the parts being removed it would help greatly. Thanks TT!
  16. Nice video you put together! I have only saw a couple episodes of the show, but them minimates are looking like a nice add on to any collection.
  17. Welcome back to the site! Also best of luck to you finding the mates you want most.
  18. Great job on your Gambit, love how you get detailed in your custom works!
  19. These are great! I really like both, but I think Thor is my favorite of the two. Great work on both them however!
  20. Hahaha! I got to start carrying one around with me, never know when you might stumble upon something great to use.
  21. Great job on your custom works Jeff! Your Peter Parker & Mary Jane had me wondering when first looking at the picture. Reading further on, I was happy to see some BTTF stuff in other creations. MAN-SPIDER also reminded me of the Indy skull, you did a great sculpting job on that head. Always great seeing your new creations! Keep it up!
  22. I'd love to see some A team stuff, the van would be classic, along with some minimates of course.
