I'm surprised to hear this from you, Glantern. I'm a regular reader of the FigureInQuestion and you've never really hinted at your weariness of the line. All you can do in your reviews is either: a.) just fawn over whatever Minimate you're reviewing b.) express how long it's been since your reviewed a minimate. Longest stretch of time where your blog has gone Minimate-less was what, a week or two? DST, is first and foremost, a company. It exists to sell it's products. With the influx of all these Marvel Movies, it's really no surprise that DST wants to cash in on what's popular. Gettting a comic wave is almost a miracle at this point, no? But the time will soon come when there will be too many Marvel movies to make Minimates for and DST has to start cherry-picking which ones will get them the best profit (heck- they're doing that now: Ant Man is getting a boxed set not an entire wave). However DST isn't like Mattel or Hasbro when it comes to communicating with it's fans, we should count ourselves lucky we collect a line which listen to our feedback and takes our feelings into account, most of the time. Listen, I've just gotten off a Minimate hiatus. I haven't bought a single one in a year. If you feel like taking a break go right on ahead. You don't need a stranger on the internet telling you that. You're young, you've got your whole life ahead of you, you have a supportive girlfriend, why not talk to her about it?

Surely not the entire line? Just the TRU exclusives? Remember this new way, whatever it is, is only affecting the 20th wave of TRU? I trust DST and Zach, if he says it's exciting and cool, I'll believe that. Zach is a pretty honest guy and knows that whatever this reveal is will gain an "unsure" response from the fans.

From the ashes of Wave 19, Wave 20 will rise... In a recent interview, Mr. Zach Oat commented on the topic of the 20th wave of Toys R US Minimates stating: "We do have Series 20 of the Toys R Us Exclusive waves done! They're designed, although I don't think they've been produced yet, and they should be hitting Toys R Us Stores this Spring or Summer! It's going to represent a little big of a change in the way we do things for Toys R Us. I can't talk much about the change yet, I'm not quite ready to drop that bomb, but let's just say it's going to be a little different. The next Toys R Us wave is going to be something special, and it isn't going to overlap with any specialty assortment. Hopefully we're going to announce more information on that soon, and once we do, determine when it'll be hitting stores. I think it'll be really cool and a lot of people are going to like it! I'm sure there will be some people who are still a little unsure about it, but I feel like for the most part it should go well." Thoughts?

I'm sure we've all had our fair share of interesting experiences when it comes to how we acquired certain Minimates. Whether it's an-impossible-to-deal-with toy store and it's staff, an encounter with a sclaper, a trade that went perfectly or anything else, post your stories here! Here's one of mine: Me and my family were in Hong Kong the week that the "Venom TTA" Boxed Set came out and I managed to track down the, apparently, only two comic book stores in the entirety of Hong Kong. I attempted to inquire at both shops about said boxed set, but both clerks couldn't understand English. Just as I was on the verge of giving up, this man (a local comic book enthusiast, I believed) walks up to me and asks me in plain English what he could do to help. The man was nice enough to translate for me and I got my answers: both shops were sold out. As he bade me farewell, I thanked him and couldn't help but smile. You don't see that kind of kindness often nowadays, not even amongst the comic book community.

Apparently, Steve Rogers lost the super-soldier serum in his blood and became an aged old man (his mind's still sharp though) so Falcon became his successor. Just as his superhero career as the new Cap was about to begin, AXIS hit, his mind was inverted and he became a "villain." He got better though, the only characters that remained inverted were Tony, Sabretooth and Havok. I honestly think Sabretooth's slot could've been filled by almost anyone else. Unworthy Thor, a Marvel NOW! Loki and Zenpool would've made for great Minimates. Still though, this wave looks, as always, excellent.

Hey Zach, will Red Onslaught be getting the flat-paint treatment or will he be sharing the same shiny paint applications the original Onslaught 'mate got?

The Spiderman 3 Black Suit Spidey with Sandman two-pack was my first one. I'm happy I chose that over the Cosmic Spidey and Venom two-pack next to it. Why? Because I was still pretty young and I lost Sandman's normal arms. So I would've lost the plethora of accessories the Cosmic Spidey pack came with. Next was Red Tornado and Ma Hunkel. But what really got me addicted was this one: And seriously after getting this one, how could I NOT get hooked? P.S. Hail Ivan!

I could see that being the reason as to why he left the project. While I've only watched three of his movies (Cornetto trilogy), perhaps Wright as a director for a Marvel film was indeed a bad call. Maybe he was TOO unique. Has he given an official statement on why he left the Ant-Man project? P.S. Off topic: Anyone else excited for Big Hero 6 and the Hunger Games?

I honestly think Ant-man is going to be Marvel's first big step backwards. I mean the project went so out of control, Edgar Wright signed off. Guy is amazing from the movies he's directed... Also I hope the that these movies won't be origin stories is false: I really want to see these heroes' beginnings and how they're reinvented.P.S. Is DC hoping Suicide Squad will be their Guardians of the Galaxy? An obscure group of comic book characters who aren't exactly heroes but aren't exactly villains either? Then again the SS does more evil stuff and the GotG are more neutral...

Bit out of the loop here, Black Panther and Doc Klaw are going to appear in this movie/assortment? Can't wait to see that beauty too, it's going to be magnificent. I HOPE with all my HOPE that this is going to be included in this wave! Wait a sec- How is Tony even powering that thing? Didn't he get rid of his arc reactor completely? And he just happened to not self-destruct the suit for defeating the Hulk?

Looks like it'll either be Wave 59 or 60 that's going to be helping me break my Minimates fast. Strange we're getting two X-men themed waves in a row, no?
