  1. That's one I never saw too often. It was in one of the non-DeCool produced lots with Luke Cage I believe. I got him, but never actually got the Dark Phoenix.
  2. Looks like the dinos have made their debut! I'll wait for the price to go down, but here's the ones that have arrived: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Lego-Compatible-Jurassic-World-Park-Minifigures-Lot-of-8-Dinosaurs-Raptors-/321782956078?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4aebc2402e
  3. I have tons of NotLego minifigures. For about 95% of them they're virtually indistinguishable from the genuine minifigures. In a few cases they've actually been better as far as detailing. Personally I love collecting them for the sheer variety and character depth they've done. Plus, NotLego SDCC mini figures are actually attainable vs they're genuine counterparts.
  4. As much as I love 97 cent clearance as much as the next, isn't the reality of this that blind bag minimates were not a success at Gamestop? Which in turn means they won't be willing to support any more minimate product? How does this look to other retailers? At the two Gamestops I visited, they didn't even know what minimates were, and the cases sat untouched for months until the first clearance, with the exception of the one figure I bought. TMNT blind bags at K-mart were no more than an eyeblink. Comic shops seem unwilling to take much of a plunge locally, at least past ordering one lone case. Gamestops took a hit with them. Blind bags online seem kinda pointless. So I have to ask - are blind bag minimates - helping or hurting the brand in the long term? And is it the concept of the blind bag, the assortment, the price, or a combination of all those that contribute to their demise at places like Gamestop?
  5. And a tired gimmick at that. At $5 plus, I'd rather not piss my money away on a "maybe".
  6. So with TMNT leaving the LEGO brand and heading back to Mega Bloks, I wonder of that opens the license door to any sculpted heads with DST.
  7. Yep, count me as only receiving three out of four. Got Dogslicer, Konkrud(?) and Munchkin. Had gotten two shipping notices for all four, and a refund for an unknown one, so I guess I didn't get the same one as others. I don't like this trend of minimates becoming a pain in the ascot to get for new licenses.
  8. That's perfect! Thanks! I don't know how I never saw that particular page before. Fantastic!
  9. Okay, so I'm trying to play catch up with this year's minimates and I hope everyone can help. I've been out of buying them most of this year. Cost, timing, new responsibilities… and so on. The last whole series I actually bought was Amazing Spider-Man 2. I know there was a massive flood in the last couple of months following a huge drought. I'm hoping members here can help me with a checklist of what has come out and how. Below is a list of what I know about, and I've noted which ones I actually have currently picked up(*), but there's so many all over the place now, I honestly have no idea where to start or what sets are actually out or not(?) and if they are regular, exclusive, con or blind bagged. Amazing Spider-Man 2 (DST)* Amazing Spider-Man 2 (TRU)* Guardian of the Galaxy (DST) Guardian of the Galaxy (TRU)* Plants vs Zombies (TRU)* Clerks (TRU)* Marvel Infinity Box Set (TRU)* TMNT (K-Mart)* TMNT (TRU)* TMNT (DST) Days of Future Past (CON) Days of Future Past wave? (DST) Marvel All New X-Men wave? (DST) TRU wave 19? Other Marvel box sets? Walking Dead wave? Kill Bill ? Godzilla? Pathfinder? Mass Effect? Sin City? Battle Beasts status? Jay & Silent Bob? Any help sorting this out will help immensely so I can begin catching up. (And giving my GF some Christmas ideas) (And if this has already been done somewhere, can you help a brother out and merge this one?) Thanks all!
  10. So, have the TRU sets been found in the DST aisle or the TMNT aisle?
  11. "A Chinatown Ghost Story". If anyone wants to be sold on the show, this is the episode.
  12. I think more things should be blind bagged. Food, clothes, toiletries... I hate knowing what I'm forking over money for.
  13. If you've read the part where Carl goes after Negan, then Abraham has been dating Holly for 20+ issues. Yes! Now that you mention it, I kinda vaguely remember it now. A lot of the characters/names just started blending together. A Holly minimate before Rosita? She can't catch a break.
  14. Well, it happened. The toys have crossed over past the point where I stopped reading, which was somewhere after Carl goes after Negan. It had become a blah, blah, blah us vs them storyline... again. So to me, the wave is just okay. I mean, I'd have to go back to the books to see who at least half of them are. I guess whoever Holly is, she becomes a zombie... I suppose I could catch up reading, but time is such a rare commodity these days.
  15. Read this story earlier. My last K-Mart is closing as well. --- Sears is closing 77 Sears and Kmart stores and cutting 5,300 jobs. And that’s not even the worst news. The fact that most of these stores will close before Christmas is akin to raising a white flag, since holiday sales are the lynchpin for any retailer’s entire year. “They’re not giving anybody confidence that they’re going to be around long-term,” said Allan Ellinger is senior managing partner at MMG Advisors, an investment bank that specializes in fashion and retailing. “It’s sad, these were once among the industry’s leading brands.” Even the stores that won’t close until after the holidays are already holding going out of business sales rather than gearing up for seasonal promotions. Fitch recently downgraded Sears Holdings to just above default status, suggesting the company may not have cash to continue beyond 2016. Standard & Poor’s may do the same. S&P analyst Toby Crabtree said the company’s cash crunch is worse than he had anticipated, and that it’s closing more stores than he had expected it to before the end of the year. The store closing list was first compiled by the web site Seeking Alpha, and confirmed by local news reports in the affected communities. A Sears spokesman declined to comment on the list except to say that the company has notified store employees. “We stated in our second quarter earnings that we would be closing unprofitable stores as leases expire and in some cases will accelerate closings when it is economically prudent,” said spokesman Howard Riefs. “If a store is not generating a profit, it is straightforward that the store should be considered for closure.” Forty six Kmart stores will close while the Sears brand will shutter 31 locations, including those that have both a Sears store and Sears auto. The company reported that it had nearly 1,900 U.S. stores between the two brands as of the end of August, down 166 from a year earlier. --- Not really somewhere to hang your hat if you want exposure. Definitely not a place to try to find exclusives...
  16. How does a store like Kmart support exclusives when they are closed/closing everywhere - including here? Seems easier to just ship their exclusives directly to Ross/TJ Maxx and skip the middleman.
  17. Updated AIM Mandroids 90's Multiple Man
  18. I recently acquired and built the Ninja Turtles Combat Lair and the Alien Agency big sets as well and they are fantastic.
  19. TRU sells minimates? That's like saying MTV plays music videos.
  20. I always thought when the one bought the other they should have re-branded themselves as S-Mart. "Shop smart. Shop S-Mart."
  21. I was at Five Below last week and they had every blind bag known (and some not known) to man there. Tons of the LEGO Simpsons series, Megabloks, many more I couldn't even begin to remember. It was a whole end cap full. Even the Brickwarrior not-blind bag LEGO accessory packs, which have the coolest LEGO related stuff I've seen recently. they are in a blind bag style packaging, but with one side clear. I'd never heard of them before then. All that to say, their non-blind bags drew me in there enough to spend $30 on them. Maybe that's a place DST should explore too for minimates.
  22. Mr. Fantastic as a ball with his face on it. H.E.R.B.I.E. Ant-Man/Yellowjacket/Wasp Thor Frog Widget from Excalibur Doop Variety of Spidey Webbed themed stuff oh yeah.. and Bamfs.
  23. Sorry, I'm just not a gamer, so I don't really keep up with any of it. The last game system I owned was a SNES if that gives you any idea of just how much I don't know about video game properties. Just no real time for them. I'm sure if the minimates look good, I'll try to get them regardless.
