I guess I’m confused. How can Walgreens tell anyone series 8 specifically is doing well when all series use the same sku number?

My minimates budget has recently been going to Marvel Legends and Select, prior and new, because I can actually find the most of the ones I missed. This Walgreens mess is too frustrating to keep it up because they don’t have anything else I want. And I’m not giving in on the impulse buys “just because I’m there”. They’re just a poor choice to carry a line that has any depth.

So looks like a couple of Walgreens wave 9 are on eBay now, Kraven and Hobgoblin sets. At the low low price of quadruple retail plus shipping. Good grief. I'd be happy if wave 8 would just show up. Or Infinity War wave 2.

Looks like Friday is the announced final day for all TRUs to close. I doubt I'll go back. I want my last memories there to be of my wife and daughter shopping with me just enjoying our time there. Now, it would just be a last depressing trip.

Unless the future of comic waves or displaced TRU waves resides in a big box retailer like Walmart or Target, with comparable shelf space to TRU, then I’d rather not have to chase down minimates at a small place such as Gamestop or Hot Topic with barely 1-2 pegs worth of space allotted. Walgreens has hit their wall and has become frustrating enough for most of us. I really don’t want feel that at multiple places.

The minimates at my various Walgreens all seem to be frozen in place since Infinity War wave 1. Nothing new, animated or movie.

If it retains the quality, and the value added stuff, such as the alternate looks and cool accessories, then I’m okay with a minimal price hike to keep the brand viable. $11.00? Sure. $11.50? Yeah, okay. $12.00…I’ll think it over. But if they start trimming the fat from sets, and we get bare bones, then a price hike to keep it going would be highly unfavorable. Maybe we’ll start getting assortments of (3) 2-packs instead of 4.

The only Heroclix I ever bought was a Hellboy BPRD set. Don’t know a thing about them beyond that. But I would love Those Excalibur and Imperial Guard sets!

I just wish any any of the Walgreens near me had any free peg space for any of the new assortments. They always look the same as I left them from my previous visits.

That gives me unpleasant flashbacks of having to wade through the mall cesspool just to find Hot Topic exclusives.

With the unnamed part 2 scheduled for May next year, we should have the opportunity to get some of the characters and new looks we didn’t get for this one.

For practicality, well, Nebula is still there because presumably Tony will need someone to pilot the Guardians ship back to Earth(it should still be on Titan), plus she may have a bigger part if the original comic mini series is any indication. Rocket is their intergalactic space-tech connection and not to be too blunt, but killing War Machine and Black Panther would not be too PC.

The only successful outcome out of 14 million has to be Cap and Iron Man fighting side-by-side, not at odds. Divided they fell, united they win. Avengers Assembled! The originals are remaining, so it’s time for the band to get back together. And somebody please get that man HIS shield! Where is it? For some reason I think it has to factor in for the win.

As long as we get a Cap-Wolf wave, all is good.

Well Rocky, Terminator and Lord of the Rings all stand out. Rocky was too short lived, Terminator has had sequels not covered previously, plus LotR has an Amazon big budget series in the works. I can’t see what Ghostbusters or BSG could add to that hasn’t already been covered. I suppose Tomb Raider and Sony games could also be possibilities.

What if?… … Conan the Barbarian were trapped in the 20th Century? … Spider-Man joined the Fantastic Four? … No One was watching the Watcher? … The Hulk was a Barbarian? … Venom Had Possessed the Punisher? … the Avengers Had Fought Evil in the 1950's? I’m sure there’s more, but I’d love a What If wave of Alternate looks.

From googled pics, seems like a Heavy SHIELD Agent body, with the white gear, and Avalanche shoulder pads will get you halfway there.

Luke has the set of (3) 2-packs for preorder which includes the Rocket/Groot.

If the revisited license were TMNT, then it’s a mixed blesing. Great news if it goes retro, or even fills in the gaps from the recently ended toon, but more than likely it would be a new line based on the horrendous designs from the new upcoming toon.

The last 2 orders I had just before the end announcement took forever and I wasn't sure I was going to get them. They eventually showed up after nearly two weeks. I'd guess they just don't have the manpower left to run the site and fulfill orders now.

I would think that without a retailer like TRU to purchase product, DST (and other manufacturers) would either have to cut production on lines, or raise the price to make up for lost sales. DST has a lot of other product besides minimates that depends on TRU that doesn’t have a presence at Walgreens. Product reduction seems likely. On a personal note, I’ve made a lot of friends at and thru TRU over the decades. Some of them have become lifelong friends even long after they left TRU. My memories aren’t of the toys, but of the relationships I’ve built. I feel sick for them and all the others who are losing their livlihood. I’d give up the whole minimate line if it meant those 33,000 people could keep their jobs. This sucks on more levels than the loss of plastic hanging on the pegs.

I think this would be the longest of long shots. But I we've already gotten Silver Samurai and Sunfire, so...

No sale today for me either. Just a no sale, inform manager message when trying to ring up. Not worth the effort. I try to give these places my money, they just don’t want it.
