I feel very much the same. There's so many fun, colorful villains in the MU, and it's a shame we haven't seen more of them as Minimates (or any toy line, really). We've gotten a few (Shocker, Spymaster, Stilt-Man... apparently, they only have the S volume of the Marvel Handbook at the DST offices :biggrin:), but not enough. And, knowing that Zach's also a big fan of these kinds of villains, I was surprised that we didn't see more in the poll. I went by the "most wanted" poll to start with, but then I padded it out with other major villains. It just seemed like there were so many unmade big guys, and it was hard to pick C-listers that had a sizable fan base. But I do regret not putting Orca, Ghost, Graviton, Master Pandemonium or Whirlwind on there INSTEAD of Abomination/Apocalypse. I should have balanced it more. My bad.

Let's ask the man. Yo Zach, is Dazzler going to come with any laser / light beam accessorie(s) or will she just come with her second hairpiece and jacket? Not that I saw, but I'll double-check. That's how it looked at Toy Fair, and since this is a tooled test shot, I can't imagine that will change. Embarrassed to say I didn't know we made him already, in Series 20. Zik comes with Vorin, and Vorin comes with that cape, so I just switched them around for a photo shoot. We're really going to be playing up the interchangability of Minimates with this line. My Vorin currently has four arms and wings. Kinda neat.

We already solicited the sequel sets. Toll Road and Ying Yang are coming pretty soon, along with Jensen.

One year and you're on the last straw already? Ouch. Look, any superhero toy line is going to rely on the A-listers to carry the line. Marvel Legends, Marvel Universe, DC Universe Classics... Very rarely do they put out a wave with no Batman or Iron Man or Superman or Wolverine, and when they do it doesn't always go so well. People laugh when I say that kids buy Minimates, but kids and casual Marvel fans ARE out there, and they buy all of our Spideys at every convention. I can't stop the completists from buying every Mate we make, but if you're only one year in, Red Raptor, I assume you have the luxury of picking and choosing. So you're in a good position, relatively. And I know people are frustrated that there are a ton of figures they want on this poll and the previous one, but I picked these characters to give each and every one of them a shot at DEFINITELY getting made, BECAUSE I knew you all wanted them. That said, the Marvel Universe is HUGE, and there are plenty of characters coming up that are not on these polls, but that you either ALSO want or that you never knew you wanted. The AFX set, the TRU poll set, Series 48 and 15... we're working on a couple of box sets that will make you very happy. So don't get mad that this series will have ONE ridiculous Cap variant and ONE oft-requested Hulk in it. (Names chosen at random.) Next poll might be easier for you guys, since most of you want us to re-issue older army builders, and we wanted this one to be all new guys. So Robert and I came up with some cool options. We'll see if you like them.

Man, this poll is causing a lot of division. But listen -- yes, we have no plans (at the moment) for any of these guys. Yes, we are going to look at how the other characters do as a mark of how soon they should get made down the road. If you think someone is going to do just fine with other voters, then that's your call not to vote for him. But if you want him to get made... you should vote for him. In a perfect world, the third-place winner will get made before eighth place. Just my two cents.

I've been meaning to shoot my gift from youbastards -- a custom grey Black Widow -- for a while now, and it took him sending me another present -- SPYMASTER! -- to make me finally do it. Nothing fancy. I tried some mid-air cartwheels with Widow but nothing worked. I'm a sucker for dramatic spotlights.
