  1. Well, if you mean '90s Jean, who was in the lost Walgreens wave, and '90s Scott, which I don't think we've shown, they don't really fit into the Team X timeline. It looks like Mastodon, Kestrel and Silver Fox were on the team?
  2. Yes, Team X Wolverine, Maverick and Creed would be great. We need to figure out who else would be in that set.
  3. Great stuff! How have we not made any MLF members, or Slingers for that matter?
  4. I know this Ditko one is old: http://www.minimatedatabase.com/img/fig/fig0095flg.jpg But this one is pretty great, albeit a bit gussied-up. http://www.minimatedatabase.com/img/fig/fig3040f3lg.jpg There's got to be a QC that that head can go on.
  5. Peter Parker is not in Series 86. I suggested a McFarlane-themed Spidey set, but I think we ended up not doing that one. You'll see another Spidey set with some cool unmade characters in another few waves (89? 90?). We're working a few waves out at this point.
  6. Series 86 will be revealed later this month, and will hopefully be out by end of year. Series 85 should ship this summer. Series 84 shipped in February. Not bad, really. Obviously no TRU or Walgreens releases to fill the gaps, and I'm still pushing for a SDCC set every year, but I think specialty releases are back up to speed. If you're not psyched about Series 87 because it's only got two new villains, two heroes in new looks and one long-ago-released villain, then I don't know what to tell you. It's a pretty cool set, and it's a corner of the X-universe we haven't touched, really. When we came up with it, we listed off a ton of X-storylines we hadn't really explored, and this was one of them. One of the most-requested sets is our 1990s set, that is definitely a corner we've explored, albeit a long time ago. Series 86 is NOT X-Men, but it IS Spider-Man, which we just did. BUT it is a storyline we have not explored yet. Should be cool.
  7. Some needed Sinister Six members are planned, but not a full team, especially that we're now doing five-packs. Hopefully everyone bought Luke's Deadly Foes box set, with Doc Ock and Sandman. Series 86 (also Spider-Man) will be revealed later this month!
  8. Sadly, we have scaled back to more affordable five-packs, sometimes with a microfigure (or goblin glider). But great ideas! Any New Avengers set would need to include Echo/Ronin.
  9. Dazzler was just an example I gave of a risque Minimate that we might not make today. I think we could make an Emma Frost easily without putting her all out on display.
  10. BHM, what is that Deception-symbol Mate in the lower right corner? It looks similar to an Autobot-symbol promo I tried to get going a few years back before I ran into a stone wall.
  11. These are both great! NOT a DC guy, but I've always loved the Jade character design.
  12. Those are great! I want a Lady Bullseye!
  13. Sorry, I guess I brought up Series 87 in the '97 thread, and things kinda spiraled. The '90s X-Men are still on hold for now, although one is in the '80s set. And I try not to call them waves or Series anywhere other than here. It's a barrier to collecting, I think, so I just call them Daredevil Deluxe Box Set or Spider-Verse Deluxe Box Set or what have you. That way every set is its own thing.
  14. This is all hypothetical. but... I would not call Darkchylde a new character, but I WOULD call Goblin Queen a new character. We've never made Madelyn Pryor. Regardless, the new 1980s set includes two new villains, full stop. Two heroes in new looks, one previously made (but long overdue) villain and one micro-figure. IF Wolverine is in this set, and that's a big "if," then it would only be to support a variety of in-demand secondary characters. And true, we've made 67 Wolverine figures. But we've also made 7 Colossus figures, in a variety of outfits. I guess it's been a while since we made one, but they're not RARE per se.
  15. Good catch, I don't work on MM packaging any more. I'll talk to the product manager, and see if the rule has changed.
  16. Should be, one will be in the '80s set, since the look is the same.
  17. Not all, but thanks for pointing it out, I have revised all Marvel.
  18. Previews uses my text, so unless there was a hiccup like here, they should not say Marvel Minimates have interchangeable PARTS. Accessories I have been saying, and I think that's fine. BBTS and Luke get my text, as well, but they can write whatever they like.
  19. Thank you for pointing that out, I will remove it.
  20. I have stated that I want to abandon the carded format, due to cost to consumers. The double dip by in-package collectors is not making up for lost sales. We partner with Hasbro. They don't actively promote licensee products, but we are actively trying to get product carried on Pulse. They don't take everything. I am not on the HISS tank forums, but they are on my mailing list for news and I think I debuted at least one item there. (Maybe a Gallery.) And if we put army-builders in character sets, it will not be well-received. No one wants five Major Bludds.
  21. I think it is purely a format problem, but the trick is to convince someone to release a set that sells well in the wake of one decent-selling and three underperforming sets. I have ideas, we have designs and sculpts, but not sure any will take flight. We'll see.
  22. What, Minimates? Far from dying. Partial nudity? Dying. Whatever this X-Men set is, I think it will be well received, with five figures, two women, three villains, two new characters, and one micro-figure.
  23. Just trying to help with some context. Like I said, Minimates orders internationally are low to nonexistent.
  24. Our Marvel Select line has huge displays in toy stores in the Middle East. BUT I'm not sure the orders for Minimates are ever enough to pay for the rigorous international safety testing. I believe that is one reason they are not (normally) found in the UK.
  25. We were making Marvel Minimates long before they were making Marvel Legos, not counting those Lego Studios Spider-Man movie-set sets. I think that is our saving grace. We don't market them as construction sets, interchangeable parts or even mini-figures. We have NEVER had the DC license for Minimates. DC Direct did, and Play Along did for C3. I'm not sure we ever will.
