I'm sure this has been suggested or discussed before, so, apologies: Along the lines of "transformation" figures, maybe-- if there was some way to pack incentive for both movie-goers and comic fans into more (movie) waves... IE movie Viper transforms into comic Viper. As someone who falls into the comic fan AND collector group, I'd haaaave to buy two to appease my completist nature, and it would please all camps!

Hey, man. Welcome! Love what you've done here. As far as the paint chipping, a topcoat to protect would definitely help. I wouldn't say this figure is anywhere near doomed. You could also try finding cheap figures with grey parts/arms and try to match as close as possible, then paint the citadel grey over and then topcoat/seal. That way, even if minor chipping happens, it's not as noticeable. Hope that helps and great job!!

I think the biggest problem with TRU's clearances is the inconsistencies from store to store. I literally have two TRU's within 3 miles of each other: the one had a Universal Monsters set at clearance for $1.24 and a Marvel vs. Capcom Wesker/Doom for $3 and some change. The other had those same packs at around $3 and $8.49 respectively. Inconsistency, though, seems to be a theme across the board. Clearance/Sales being coordinated would take a back seat to even product dispersement, IMO

Gotta disagree on Zemo and that Moonstone for early Tbolts. That's like putting Winter Soldier in your WWII Invaders in place of Bucky. Agreed full heartedly. I want a Meteorite AND a classic Moonstone because, yes, I'm just that greedy.

Don't believe that. I bought the whole wave from the Times Square Toys R US on August 29th. I left a complete wave plus extras on the shelf. Looks like they haven't restocked. Since I'm posting I might as well say hello to everyone. Been lurking here for over a year and I think I have only posted once. Welcome! Thanks for the heads up, man. Got the IM/Hulk and Wolvie/Reaper sets at Times Square, but they didn't have the other two TRU exclusives on the shelf. They told me they don't have a back room to hold items to restock so what they had on the floor is all they have. Wanda/Cap! Where are you?!!!

Man, this reeeeally sucks! I just had my little cousin read and LIKE AvX and wanted to get him the Iron Man/Hulk, Scarlet Witch/Cap, and Emma/Colossus sets for his bday in October (not to mention I want a set for myself!). Both my local TRU's have been completely useless in helping and one even said they might not get them at all!

Where in Jersey?? If I go into either of my Bergen County TRU's one more time without buying something, i feel like they're gonna officially think I'm nuts.

Astonishing Colossus for the chest/torso works super well. A close second would be Spider-Woman's chest and pelvis (with New X-Men belt on top). Extremis Iron Man or maybe one of the other Iron Men (red/gold or red/yellow) without the bulked up armor piece could be a good direction, otherwise. I would suggest MvC Arthur's arms for their built-in shoulder pads. Some kind of Iron Man gauntlet, maybe, as well. EDIT: Threw together a mockup for you: had to use a Bliss trenchcoat, but you get the idea

AMEN!!! I know Zach has said that in order to produce these mates in time for movie releases, they sometimes need approval before final costume design/concepts can be seen-- but you'd think they'd rather wait a bit longer for designs that sell/are visually interesting. Especially when trying to appeal to multiple demographics/the product is being released after movie opening, anyway.No negativity meant/hope they do well-- just not that excited for a wave of street clothes.

There is something to that though. I am not excited about Emma and Piotr because to be frank I like the costumes of Magik and Namor more. I would love an X-Men wave to finish off teams: Namor/Magik (with Namor having accessories to put him in his X-Men costume); Sunfire & Banshee, FC Beast/X-Factor Angel Varient & Danger. That finishes off three teams there with P5, Extinition, and Giant Sized line ups complete. Banshee and Sunfire's completion actually gives a complete line up from Uncanny 94 - Uncanny 138. Add Kitty (Sprite) and Lorna in her crazy purple costume and we make it up to 171when Rogue joined and Carol left. I would buy all the cases of this wave. All of them... ...ever.
