  1. Well, technically it's your control art I converted into a decal: http://www.minimatemultiverse.com/index.php?showtopic=8224&page=8#entry270072 Which is beautiful
  2. My wallet could only afford 5 of these guys and as Thunderstrike eventually left the team/became a reserve member, I decided to go for 5 I felt were more "staples." Although, eventually I'd really like a Thunderstrike. Maybe a Crimson Curse and Freebooter, too. Might whip them up myself, who knows.
  3. Been so busy, haven't been able to hop onto the boards in a while-- but here's a shot of a group I finished a while ago: Morrison's 90's JLA lineup! (Excuse the dust) Basically, I did not have ONE member of the Justice League in official 'mate form before I started this project. Looking up the cost of a lot of those figures, too, I just couldn't start delving into collecting DC 'mates the way I'd like to. I got a cheap BD Wonder Woman/Cheetah at Comicon this past October and in a random parts/partial fig lot I got off eBay a few months ago, I also got the parts for Batman you see up there. Besides those two figures, everything else is completely from my spare parts/extra 'mates bin (plus decals/paint/apoxie here and there)! Pretty proud I was able to scrounge up my favorite JLA lineup, finally! May go back over the detail on Wonder Woman so it's gold rather than yellow.
  4. I HAD to post this picture of the awesome commission pieces Psyguy did for me: A-Next! I LOVE obscure teams and MAN, do I love these figures!
  5. As the lucky recipient of the A-Next set, I just had to share some pics of my own: American Dream, the niece of Sharon Carter, Shannon Carter Mainframe, the sentient AI Iron Man armor with Tony Stark's brainwaves Stinger a.k.a. Scott Lang's grown up daughter Dr. Cassandra "Cassie" Lang Bluestreak, future Avengers speedster and J2, Juggernaut's son Zane Marko A team of future Avengers for the '90's!
  6. Holy Crap, Brian... That Silk Spectre is so beautiful I wanna throw something...
  7. Agreed. PREACH, BROTHER! ACADEMY X MINIMATES FOR EVERYONE!
  8. Agreed. I feel like it started off so strongly and fell a little flat in the end. I'm interested to see the change in status quo for the X-Books. It's going to be interesting to see how Rachel deals with Kitty not being around and how Kitty and Illyana continue to repair their friendship. They've been on the outs since A) Illyana risked all their lives to get her soul back (in the now defunct third volume of New Mutants) and Illyana tricked Peter into Juggernaut-ing it up/Phoenix Five-ed it. All this talk kind of just makes me want the NOW! X-Men even worse and definitely more than the BotA Future teams. But if this gets us both, I'm down... ...(Also, future Wiccan )
  9. I want Kymera and future Sorcerer Supreme Wiccan. The end.
  10. Ummmm I would take the future X-Men in a heartbeat
  11. *SQUEE* *DOUBLE DOUBLE SQUEE* ALL THE SQUEES!!!!
  12. Thanks for all the compliments, guys! I'm glad you like them. I'm particularly proud of that batch, so, means a lot. I've been trying to focus on exclusively clearing off my work bench with all the W-I-P's I keep pushing to the side. In the meantime, I thought I'd post some stuff I've had done for a while, but haven't had a chance to share : Rachel Grey... current Storm utilizing Liney's AWESOME decal... a Rogue for my Uncanny Avengers lineup... and a really simple, quick BeastNOW from spare parts I had lying around. A few more touch ups on some of these, but pretty happy with how everything turned out.
  13. So-- finally got this and wanted to know if anyone else on her checked it out/what they thought...
  14. Me am twenty-something! Me love all eras of comics... ...except for anything Chuck Austen touched...
  15. This is the year of Banshee. I feel it. It has to be.
  16. Wow, man, that Yelena is pretty spot on with minimal alterations. I'm impressed!
  17. Holy cow-- with a minor delay, my Birthday Elephant gift just arrived: I cannot tell you how happy this made me! I had such a big smile on my face when I opened this after work. I knew in terms of collecting, I was making it hard for my elephant to help me fill in gaps. But this is beyond perfect: custom tailored for the method in which I uniquely expand my collection and introducing me to new customizing techniques (air-brush!)-- I'm so grateful. Brian (return address :X), thank you so much for stepping up and making me feel special DESPITE having a newborn to deal with! That kid is pretty damn lucky to have you as a father.
  18. I'm all for new characters and filling out gaps... but this is awesome. I may be biased since I just did customs based on this period so I have a full Capullo and Liefield team, but even if I didn't I'm in the camp of "another-version-of-characters-you-like" is better than nothing at all.
  19. Holy mother, Firefly, yessss. These are awesome. Makes me want a "Gina Torres: Through the Ages" boxset.
  20. Everyone in my collection is getting a cosmic cube... ...cosmic cube Boomer...
  21. I think you mean what immediately happened to the New 52 because it wasn't handled correctly from the get go. The Ultimate Universe at least started slowly and built on itself with a handful of fundamental concepts being shared across a completely rebooted universe. The New 52 was a much softer reboot that opened with internal history and multiple titles featuring one character at different points in that character's history. It was confusing. There was no organic building process or internal history making, and a lot of stories suffered for it. Also the Ultimate U didn't replace our dearly beloved prime universe, so it was easier to swallow that pill and then have fun with it.And I have to admit that I thought Electro was one of the more interesting redesigns, so I'm looking forward to adding the mate to my Ultimate U collection. All this. Yes. Exactly.
