Since getting my set of goblins Ive been tinkering with customs and considering what the implications would be for goblins invading the universes of other minimates, so let the the invasion begin. Meet the two newest recruits to the Goblin Army. The Sophisticated Date Night Goblin is out on the town looking for love and trouble. With his stylish jacket and tie there isn't a high-class restaurant that he can't walk into and plunder and with his new watch he can be extra sure that he is never on time. Of course, should he find his date going badly, he has his trusty hatchet to keep things interesting. While ordinarily not the most technically advanced race the Wraith Buster Goblin couldn't pass up the chance to strap on a positron collider and go after the dead. Of course he also likes to use it on the living first. He also has a bad habit of using it to start campfires, roast small animals for dinner, and play practical jokes on other goblins. What I meant by a TRU wave is that they rarely follow any sort of theme and that the character selection comes from multiple titles in the waves. Yeah, I have to agree that Hulk is much more likely than She-Hulk. Since there are only three packs I dropped the Avengers Cap & Iron Man since 20 is between or just after the two AoU waves. As for the Spider-Man pack the reason I picked Spider-Woman was because it is the traditional Spidey suit but on a new character similar to Lady Thor. As for Spider-Man 2099 just about any of the other Spidey variations would work except, Noir since that costume hasn't been done before and may be seen as a completely new character.

This is a TRU wave so, if it is animation, why would it have to be limited to a single show. Since I haven't actually seen any of the shows my list is going off from the adds. That's a good deal but don't discount the Buck Rogers set. Wilma and Zardalla at $5 each are a real steal for some. Still, looking at the other properties on the list have to make the Sponge Bob mates feel a little out of place.

I can see it now, eight nearly blank mates with "Thor", "Captain America", "Iron Man", and "Spider-Man" printed on the chest block. "Wolverine", "Hulk", "Deadpool", and "Captain Marvel" in the sticker packs. No need of accessories since we have multiple armors, shields, claw hands, and energy effects. Each pack includes 2 blank mates, two stands, and stickers for all eight characters. While the official release name will be TRU DIY Wave 20 it will be best known as the TRU Die wave due to the friction between MIP collectors and customizers. Oh and the sticker packs will still command higher prices on e-bay even though the only difference is the "R" sticker and the name tampo.

The only difference is the Preview Goblin has an open mouth and the Box set Goblin has a closed mouth.

Maybe something along the lines of past and future versions. Thanks, DarthBurkie, but I have to disagree with the quote. The of switch is that moment between deciding between getting one Alien box set or two in order to have more parts for customs, even though the budget doesn't quite cover it after Luke's sale. Then, being good and only getting one, I find the Kill Bill Master's of Death box and getting it for the collection and surviving on instant Ramen for a week. It's a good thing I like Ramen or this week would have been really difficult. I'm no genius, I just have a lot of minimate parts to create customs with.

Wonderful, in typical TRU.com fashion, it's any body's guess which set is missing Wolverine/Sentinel or Quicksilver/Vision. Hopefully, eventually, they'll get it sorted out and both sets will be available.

I'm using Age of Apocalypse Magneto hair. Though the Pathfinder Isiem uses the same hair piece with black ties instead of red and is likely easier to obtain.

I had a bit too much time on my hands today and decided to put some parts together. What I came up with is New York 2015 Arctic Blast Spider-Man. When it gets cold, no matter how iconic your trademark costume may be, spandex just isn't good enough. This winter Spider-Man pulled a heavy coat, hat, and boots out of the Avengers closet to keep warm. Surprisingly the Federation insignia on that jacket looks enough like the Avenger's "A" that it works. Fortunately I don't have extra jackets in my parts box otherwise I might have tried to build an Arctic Avengers team to contrast with my Swimsuit Avengers. Rachel, or a version of her, wore the training uniform in the Days of Future Present crossover. Sage is actually the original X-Men uniform so she is out. Finally with Spyke I was going off memory and after searching the only picture I could find is of a custom so he's out as well.

I picked up a Fox, to put next to my Infinity Rocket just for display purposes, and I considered picking up a couple more but the first wave just isn't selling so no new waves get ordered.

Wait, we ARE getting Muppets minimates? If what I've been seeing is correct both Select and minimate Muppets were shown but no pictures allowed. Rumor has it minimates include Kermit, Piggy, Fozzie, Robin, Scooter, Camilla, Gonzo, Chef, Bunsen & Beaker, with variants as well.

While it's not likely to happen I'd kill for a Kenner Predator and Alien wave. Nightstorm Predator (black with gold Egyptian style armor) vs Night Cougar Alien Spiked Tail Predator vs Gorilla Alien Stalker Predator (glowing) vs Bull Alien Lava Planet Predator vs Mantis Alien Barring that possibility I'd still want to get Nightstorm Predator and Night Cougar Alien even if it meant buying two separate blind bag assortments because they were one per case figures. For the Godzilla ending protests I'm adding my votes for Modern Godzilla and Kiryu (Mecha Godzilla 3). What I'm really finding hard to believe is that the news of Muppet minimates hasn't gotten more attention.

A new Spider-Man needs to be done similar to Cap 1. The established Sony (Parker) Spider is pulled into the MCU, perhaps with the reality gem, the majority of the film is spent with his working to get home to his own reality while training Miles to be MCU Spider-Man. Finish off with him getting back to his own universe and a big finishing Sinister Six battle. After credit scene of Miles hiding the gem somewhere obvious like a giant "A" on Stark/Avengers tower. Older well trained Spider-Man: check Sony movies happened abut not really: check MCU/Ultimate Spider-Man: check MCU requisite infinity gem: check Big ending villain battle: check Explanation for Parker and Miles: check Anything missing?

I'm sorry, but that just sounds bad. "A-Force: it soothes even super powerful pain and itching." "A-Force: When only industrial grade lubrication can get you into and out of the tightest areas." About the only worse title might be Preparation A: for Avengers. Still, it's fun to say.

A box set and tie in wave would be better. So I'm going on record as saying that I dislike all exclusives. That being said I may be the only one that likes the fact that Kmart has minimates exclusive or otherwise. The angst that is going around over this exclusive is exactly what I have to experience every time TRU releases a wave and the website doesn't get it in or it quickly sells out. Sure I get upset over it but I either find another way to get the figures I want or I live with the fact that I may never have them in my collection. However, as infuriating as exclusives are, at least minimates are still going strong and even expanding their markets. Even more importantly DST listens to its fan base and even tries to accommodate our concerns (All New X-Men Bobby colors, P5 Cyclops Armor, etc) unlike two well known toy companies that don't seem to care about anything except making a quick buck and moving on to the next "new" thing. That said, for years I've believed that all "exclusives" should be exclusive for their packaging and when they are released. After a year they should be repackaged and given a mass release returning them to the realm of toys rather than collectibles. That way everyone wants the toy can get it and the elite mint in package collectors and retailers can have their exclusives.
