  1. A package is headed your way! You should get it this week.
  2. He claims the others were destroyed. He says this in the description. Where did my original post go...? My bad, I skimmed that part. Maybe he's right. I just remember seeing pics of multiples hanging around.
  3. Wow, eBay's really lightening up in their old age! It used to be no way, no how on pre-sells.
  4. At one point, (and I think now as well) placing auctuons or buy-it-nows for pre-orders were against eBay policy. You had to have the item in hand at the time you submitted the auction in order to sell it. Even with good feedback, I still wouldn't buy a pre-order on eBay just in case. I've seen a lot of sellers that had pre-order auctions get kicked from eBay for other reasons, then you have little to no recourse in getting your money back. Also, Paypal will only fight to get money back within 45 days of the auctions end, and eBay itself will help for 60 days after the end. A lot of pre-orders fall outside that time range, so you're pretty much out of luck if it's over 60 days.
  5. The number that will really help make sure you get what you want is: AUG073255. A description helps as well. The Diamond Order Codes are universally recognized in comic stores for ordering. Vague descriptions of what you want from a 400 page catalogue when there's 200 other people making orders in the same month are never good! (At least from my years of being the order generator for a comic store!)
  6. Has it only been a year? Nooo... that can't be. It seems like it's been ages! Congrats, and to everyone involved -- keep up the good work!
  7. My first pack was standard Spider-Man and Green Goblin. I saw them at a Wal-Mart one day and thought these things were the bee's knees! I didn't actually pick it up at the time, and when I went back, it was gone, never to be seen in said Wal-Mart again. A month or so later was Christmas, an lo and behold I got the 2-pack in my stocking. "And now you know the rest of the story..."
  8. Can't believe I never responded to this before... Basement24 (or rather "Basement, #24") is the name of my one-man company that I do work under. That name was taken from the fact that I operate out of a basement, and my house number is #24. My avatar is a drawing part of a Clone Wars picture of Obi-Wan Kenobi I did that was used as the basis for a local colouring contest. I just always liked Obi-Wan Kenobi, so why not? There you have it!
  9. Just signed up for an account, and got this message: ~~~~~ International Shoppers' Note We can only sell items to United States customers at this time. We are working towards providing our international customers with the ability to order directly from us. If your address is in a country other than the United States, we will let you know via email when we are able to accept non-US orders. Please contact us with any questions you might have. ~~~~~
  10. Haha, that's awesome! I love how he hops into the Batmobile. Nicely done!
  11. Haha, what's with C-3PO in the Police helmet? That's just odd... Sometimes these, or similar ones, pop up for order in Diamond Comics' Previews magazine (available at comic shops). They're often for Japanese "Gatcha" toys and are available in the Collectibles and Novelties section. I have a bunch from a few years back, and they're fairly similar, but maybe 3 inches longer and a one deeper. They were only $9 CDN each as well, (about $7.50 US) which is pretty good for a slightly bigger size. Always worth keeping an eye out for them if you have a comic shop that takes special orders.
  12. Oh, I'm always out here! Sorry, though, can't comment for the time being.
  13. I don't mind at all, thanksI'm really happy with how these ones turned out, and they seemed to take less time than normal. I think I was just very gung-ho to make them!
  14. Good stuff! I'm always glad to see my designs come in handy (especially when they're well-applied!)
  15. Thanks for the comments everyone! Much appreciated. I'm glad to see what people think of them, it's inspiring to make more! And yes, there are definitely more to come in the next articles!
  16. Cool beans! That looks great! Yeah, the number one problem I had with designing Iron Spidey is that almost every artist had some kind of little tweak to the outfit, whether it be eye shape or logo appendages. I went with what appeared to be the standard at the time with some rough prelim drawings, but it looks like the wrap-around legs is the standard and most used now. Oh well, something to update at some point then. Good work, he looks great!
  17. Since September's "It Came From The Basement..." has now been posted, I thought I would post my images in here as well! Here they are, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles! A number of things went into 'creating' these. First, I figured the shell should be an entirely body-encompasing piece. The shell on the back would be attached to the underbelly (or chest) part instead of having a printed torso piece. It would be attached around the body with the belt, and would sit on the shoulders with a torso-coloured pair of suspenders. The masks would also be separate pieces. It was decided early on that these incarnations would be based on their first appearance, so they are all red instead of the animated Red, Orange, Blue and Purple. The mouth expressions are taken directly from some of thir comic appearances. Three of them have basically become the standard mouth shape for them now, but Leonardo's was taken directly from an original pinup. That's it for this month, stay tuned for more, and a few bonus projects in between as well! LEONARDO DONATELLO MICHELANGELO RAPHAEL
  18. Thanks everyone! Also to Tenime_art (and others) who checked out my page! Much appreciated! More minimates to come, stay tuned!
  19. Here's my GI Joe art from the newest "It Came From The Basement" article. Included here is the 'bonus' original Scarlet I had designed, but scrapped because she was from the "America's Elite" GI Joe, and the rest were classic to semi-classic Joe. (They were actually mainly taken from Dan Jurgen's art in the first Frontline story arc.) Anyway, here you go! STORM SHADOW COBRA COMMANDER SNAKE EYES DESTRO DUKE SCARLET SCARLET - AMERICA'S ELITE Thanks for lookin'!
  20. Good stuff, love that Robin! That's some sharp paint work on it. I always have a tendancy to miss these things until they're a month old (as is the case here).
  21. "Yes, but according to her contract, she now has to die in silence" You get the day's award for almost getting me to spit a drink in laughter. Almost...
  22. Don't get me started on my plans for 121 James Bond minimates. Yes, 121. I want to make custom art for them all one day! A Bond line (even at 5 of them or so) would still be fantastic! (although if they did make 121 of them, I'd buy them all!)
  23. Usually I try to avoid characters that have already been done, unless there's an alternate style (ie Batman by different artists) or costume to put them in. Any of the mates I have on my site that are now official mates (Cassandra Cain Batgirl, for instance) were designed before there was even word of the official one. Here are the designs I made for the July "It Came From the Basement" article, now that they are posted on the main page. I'm really proud of my August ones as well (stay tuned) and my to-do list is stacking up nicely with some good ideas! THE INVICIBLE 4-PACK INVINCIBLE OMNIMAN IMMORTAL ATOM EVE Thanks for looking!
