Looks cool. I like Storm. Logical choice. Naked Mystique. Long time coming for the character. Long time coming for a truly naked minimate.

FYI, Houston, a lot of times, doesn't have them. They are one of 2 Ikeas int he world that aren't actually Ikeas, meaning not owned by Ikea itself, but rather leased. The other being Moscow. I went around and around with the manager when they had Detolfs on sale and Houston wouldn't honor it.

ToysRUs Minimates -what happens now?
TM2 Dinobot replied to buttheadsmate's topic in Crisis of Infinite Minimates
My buddy who lives there was like "Don't worry about it. No one buys Minimates here." So I didn't. And I get there, expecting to find IM2/3 Minimates, wave 14, untapped WD5. You know, the usual. What do I get? Nothing. I gave him an earful over that. -

So you could lose a kneecap too? -
Jinx and Mysterio were the most expensive things there. All TRU hauls. (Except for the TFs.)

I know this guy who might be going to C2E2.....

Cool. Thanks so much, Delta. Would it be cheaper/easier to drive? I have NO experience with public transportation whatsoever. -

Hey! I'm going to be in Evanston. (excited) Is there a tram or rail or something? Or how about at the very least cheap parking near the con? Last time I was shocked at the price of parking. In Houston parking is free, or at worst $5. $20 parking blew me away. -

Really sick of walking into TRU and finding nothing at all. I'd even settle for seeing SxT again at this point. OH! And someone cleared out my stash at the Lake Charles store. After I begged my friend to go grab it for me. I was not happy. (My stash being no one ever goes into the Lake Charles TRU so I've essentially got the store to myself.) -
Captain America: The Winter Soldier *w/ Spoilers*

I liked it okay. I'm not a spy-movie guy, but I had no complaints. -
Accusations are terrible things. But hoping they're true so Marvel gets XMen is just wrong. Especially if you realize that the bottom miraculously drops out of the market, Fox will just wait 5 years and reboot with a new XMen franchise. Marvel will never see Xmen again.

Hope you had a good one, Shell head.

Personal QS/SW theory: Just a thought.

So tempted, but the coupon promotions don't work and $27 shipped for a t-shirt (scheduled to arrive during or after C2E2) is a bit pricey.... I love the idea/design though. I just got off the phone with them. There's a 20% off coupon "Sprngsav" but I doesn't work because Minimate Multiverse is a commission shop. I got premium shipping, it should be here my Monday. The grand total was $38.19. Worth it, but I can't help think I could buy 5 or 6 normal shirts at that price. But I've always wanted a MMMV shirt.

HAHAHA Where did you get that?

I'm not sure we have those here. ?.?

Speaking of shirts, if you're going to order one for the show, sooner is probably better than later. Circa Shane: http://www.minimatemultiverse.com/index.php?showtopic=12661 http://www.cafepress.com/minimatemultiverse

DC Minimates & everlasting optimism

You owe me a new keyboard. My spit take ruined this one. -
The most interesting part to me was that the two sailors who decided to stay on the island none of them expected them to live. But they were picked up by a ship a few months later, sick of seafood but none the worse for wear. The rest of the crew however, that thought they'd make it to Chile in a few weeks, only 2 of the 3 life boats arrived, one only days before their abandoned islanders were picked up. For centuries scientists thought that the South Pacific people must have come from Asia by way of Africa and Europe. Because that is the descending order of humanity. After all, white people are superior in every way in the 1700's, right? No one could ever have come from South America because they are just the lowest rung in humanity. It wasn't until the Kon-Tiki voyage in 1947 that proved islanders came from South America, not Asia. The tradewinds and currents flow east-west. If the crew of the Essex had had this information, they probably would have all made it. Instead, out of fear they went against the current, and weeks stretched into months.

DC Minimates & everlasting optimism
TM2 Dinobot replied to buttheadsmate's topic in DC & C3 Minimates
I'm sure those are "it" for a lot of people, but 70's/80's designs never did much for me. I almost always prefer the modern looks (before nu52). But if we're talking minimates, the DCAU looks translate best and are the most iconic IMO. -
I found a lone Merk/Spidron set at TRU. With this whole super clearance thing, it was still $6.50. While they're good figures, perhaps when $1 off is considered a deep markdown might be a clue as to why the line didn't do great in my area. I still think there should have been a card game of some kind. The toys could have come with special cards.
