  1. These look great! Can never have too many zombies.
  2. I've quit before, so I can relate. Just be sure you're done before you sell anything off. I gutted my DC minimates collection to pursue other interests and now I'm having an awful time rebuilding my collection without paying the ridiculous prices some are asking on eBay.
  3. Considering that he hand picked his successor, I'm feeling pretty good about the future of Apple products. I love my iPhone, iPad, and iPod, and though I never knew Steve Jobs personally, I certainly appreciate his brilliance. I think we can all agree that Tim Cook has some huge shoes to fill. RIP Steve.
  4. Welcome! Hope you're not a completist. You've got a LOT of catching up to do if you are.
  5. As a couple others have mentioned, I think some of us disappear occasionally for different reasons. I was a member of the old Art Asylum board, and when it started getting kind of crazy there I stopped visiting. Then, when I tried to find my way back to it, the AA board was gone and I found the multiverse. I was around since the beginning of Minimates, but I sold a lot of them off to fund my 1/6 scale collection. Got tired of being broke all the time, so I got out of those a few months ago, and have been steadily building my Minimate numbers ever since. Just sucks because I totally gutted my DC mates. Got a long way to go to get back to where I was, but I'm working on it. I've always said this has been the best forum I've been a part of, and I still feel that way. Great bunch of guys here. Yeah, we get an occasional crazy spell (Brent Craig) but overall, it's a great place and I'm just glad to be here. Shane is still a shockini lover, though. True story.
  6. I got the angry head. Back of the package shows happy head. Didn't know about the variant, so I didn't check the other packs. Oh well. An excuse to go back to TRU.
  7. Love the Black Ops Monsters. Thinking about picking up some extras to make my own. Got the B&W Drac & Frankenstein tonight. Wasn't going to do the B&W mates, but they looked so sad on the shelf I had to get them. Now I need to find the B&W Creature and Wolfman. Man, I'm such a sucker for Minimates.
  8. Would have liked a larger Galactus, but since it's not possible I'm going to be happy with this one.
  9. Very nice work, guys. Iron Man and Human Torch look great.
  10. I don't read the comic so I'm not familiar with the character, but the mate looks good. I'm in. I also prefer the printed Spidey heads, but I don't hate the slip on masks as much as I used to so it's just a minor nit to me.
  11. Photographed, it looks like a match, but Azazel's head is a tad bit lighter than Mephisto's body. For your viewing pleasure, Azazel's swimsuit pictorial. Blue floor was taken outside with natural lighting. Wood floor was taken on my computer desk. Indoor lighting shows less color discrepancy, but he's sexy either way you look at it.
  12. The new store in Cincinnati got them this week. I got the heroic age set last weekend, and my FF set today. Spidey's head is a little off colored from the rest of his body but it's not too bad. Would have really loved him if he matched completely, but he's still pretty good as he is.
  13. Got a nice display shelf for my bobbleheads at Target yesterday.
  14. Well, now I have a Spiderman, Hulk, Darth Vader, and Stormtrooper joining my Batman and Joker. Curse you, Groundhog!! CURSE YOU!!!!!!!!
  15. They are interesting looking to me and have a nice selection of characters, but their paint apps can be quite sloppy. That plus zero articulation makes these an interesting item to look at in the store but nothing I want to collect. I did buy a Batman and Joker, though. Couldn't resist.
  16. I got one. My budget doesn't allow for a lot of purchases like this these days, but I'm one of the minority here who likes the Mez-Itz style and Batman is just too cool not to buy. When I opened the shipping box it was like someone mailed me a newborn baby with a Batman costume.
  17. Not a fan of the keychains but I actually like the mez-itz style.
  18. I've been trying to find them locally, but none of the shops in my area have ordered them. I've only seen them available on ebay and through online retailers. Nowhere near the articulation of Minimates, but I actually think they look better just standing around. But of course, I could be biased because the Mez-Itz body style more closely resembles my own. Anyway, I'll definitely be adding these to my collection as soon as I can find them. And I just missed an auction by one of the members here for the series 1 set. Logged in a minute after it ended. Ugh.
  19. I'm really excited about the upcoming MOTU year. Lots of good stuff coming. I was able to order Marlena without issue. I had the WSOD for the first 10 minutes, left the site, and came back and ordered it at around 12:40. Glad there were no 3 minute sellouts. I had no interest in the Polly Pocket stuff, but it sucks for those of you who wanted them and missed out.
  20. I agree that Bane shouldn't have been 2.5", but I thought Killer Croc, Ares, Clayface, Grodd, etc... all translated well to the 2.5" body. I also agree with the notion that everyone should have a 2" body, but without all the add-ons. It's easy to see that's not going to happen, though. I was around at the beginning of the powerhouse torso nonsense and I voiced my displeasure with the added pieces way back when. Just made it look too out of whack with the much skinnier arms and legs. I will admit that adding the bigger arm and leg pieces help to balance out the torso. I just feel that the Minimate would look more like a Minimate if you had a plain 2.5" body as opposed to a 2" body with all the added pieces.
  21. Definitely poster tack for me, as well. It holds extremely well, and is still easy enough to remove should you decide later that you'd like to be able to remove the parts. *EDIT* Just saw how old the last post was. Oopsies!
  22. Hey, HD! I'm just back myself. I've had a heck of a year myself. Glad to see you've also battled through your troubles. You're right, though. It is hard to keep a good nerd down. I'd love to come see you play some time. You can PM or text me(if you still have my number) with some details on when and where you're going to be playing.
  23. Just downloaded it. Can't wait to give it a try.
  24. I like the bulky Hulk better than a standard Hulk with just the "powerhouse" torso piece, but I still think the perfect Hulk will come the day we are allowed to have a 2.5" Minimate body. They looked so good in the DC line, and I would gladly buy another new Hulk, Juggernaut, Apocalypse, Sentinels, etc... if that day ever comes.
  25. I bought one. I got Street Fighter (forgot how badly I sucked at fighting games) and I've got Zelda and MarioKart preordered. It's a beautiful system, but I've always been a big DS fan anyway, so my opinion may be skewed. Haven't spent much time playing it the past few weeks. Too busy with other things, but I'm going to be making time once Zelda is released.
