  1. http://www.thefanboyseo.com/wp-content/upl...coustimes-2.jpg http://www.thefanboyseo.com/people/cosplay...arvel-minimates The last link is to the rest of the photos, I'm sure these guys were someone from this thread so maybe this is old news but I think these are pretty sweet!
  2. You can't forget misfits Halloween circa 1981, with devilock hairmolds, or Danzig through the ages, complete with mini weight lifting equipment.
  3. Instead of DC minimates, I would be much happier with Vertigo (DC subsidiary) license, the lady death from sandman would double as a girlfriend for my thanos (just won infinity guantlet on flea-bay) not to mention sandman himself... but the release I could see happening the most would be the Disney release... someone was talking smack about the vinyl disney figs, to that I say leave my vinyl buddies alone...
  4. But I didn't see anyone talking about the release date, is there a verdict on that? I know a lot of people are still trying to hunt down wave 9 but to be honest, I know 9 was out at my local TRU right before or at least the day after Christmas... I really don't want to miss the 10 spot. Any news around the campfire? AOA rules, so...
  5. BBTS has the wolverine/mag set left still. Just type wave 09
  6. Thundercats all the way... I wouldn't be against Harry Potter Minis as well, but since Kubricks are already lined for HP that's a big shot in the dark... The notice said it huge and shocking... So hopefully we'll get that MAX shocker figure everyone here has been asking for... Seriously though I really wouldn't mind the LCS license being spread out to Target and Walmart, not exclusives mind you but the same ones the LCS are getting considering the closest LCS I can get mates from isn't so local... (at least 45 minutes away) I know I can order them but I don't have a CC I hate paying extra fees to get reusable cards filled, and I'm usually to afraid to give out bank card numbers online... Does anyone know how literal Chuck usually gets with his hints. When he says big surprise, does he literally mean big?
  7. Punisher has always been a favorite of mine, I think what happens to us is we put off buying the minis until that fateful day we find a figure we just can't resist. After we buy said figure we realised the coolness we had been missing and launch head first into a world of tiny plastic people (and super people). Thanks for all the warm welcomes. Glad to know I'm amongst fellow addicts. I look at it this way, if people spend upwards of 50 dollars a day on coke, heroin, and crack habits... If I spend a couple hundred playing catch up and then collect the regulars, I'm not going to go to the poor house (at least that's the logic I used to explain my new fetish to my wife) They can't make enough minimates to make me lose an apartment, or not be able to eat for a week, 3A figs, and Sideshow collectables, that's a different ballgame. I can only drool over that stuff, because I know if I buy one, I'll be getting into the big leagues, and I'm fine just staying mini.
  8. Well, since you said please... Please remember that he's based on the and MI:13 version of the character (which is the only one I'm familiar with), so if he doesn't jibe with an earlier version... tough. Here he is with normal hands: And here's the formula again: -T2 Motorcycle cop head -DCD Nightwing hair -any suit body -Lady Deathstrike hands, for the full effect I always wanted to use that Captain Britain emoticon! Using Lady Deathstrikes hands was a good idea, although to give it a plasma effect you could use the Washington Square Ghost from the GB TRU pack it comes with cuffs and they're the same hands except they're the orange clear plastic. It's an almost perfect match to that picture. http://www.comicbookreligion.com/img/p/e/Pete_Wisdom.jpg
  9. So will the price of my FF minimates with the number 4 on them skyrocket now that they killed off Also has anyone seen the thing as a regular human now?
  10. There were some good designs but Big Barda hands down all the way... That was simplistic and elegant, it captured the essance of Kirby for real, plus I've been wishing that Kubricks would make the New Gods, since minimates have killed the DC line... I could honestly care less about getting a Supe or Batman Figure, but Granny Goodness or The Black Racer, I'd play hackysack with a baby bunny to get them... (I love baby bunnies BTW).
  11. How bout, single packs, choose your own 4 packs from any of their past collections, blank minimates (for all you customization nut jobs) and an internet customize your own minimate kind of like guitar hero, only orderable. That would blow me away. Hell that would be all I really want for Christmas... Oh and a price drop, how bout 4 or 5 dollars a 2 pk. Wrong section to throw this in but the Max minimate police squad is fantastic, I picked one up yesterday along with movie wolverine/blob. I was bummed out to have to buy another wolverine to get the blob, but the extra police gear works out great for Ta da, a S.W.A.T. force wolverine... and I still have 2 other cops to boot. 3 figs for the price of 2...
  12. Does anyone know if TRU will ship items from another store if it's in state? I found something I want at a TRU in state but it's about an hour drive from me... I'm just curious, I should have bought it when I was there but I was up in the air until I got home and saw that the suspended animation cap came with an ice block hehe...
  13. I seriously loath blind box toys... There are some things that a 29 year old man shouldn't have to do, and one of them is stand in a store for a hour feeling packs of toys to make sure he got the figure he really wants. Even if we do convince them, the problem is they won't go back and rebox 4 packs of Hydra soldier, (well maybe with the captain movie coming out they will) or any of the older soldier sets I really want. I kind of feel about some of the older minimates the way I do about the Neca TMNT, I'm not going to pay hundred of dollars for something that was selling in the stores for 5 (when they were trying to do clearouts)
  14. I guess I should have done this in the first place, hi y'all. My name is Michael, I live in Western Michigan, and I not so secretly have a crush on Storm, and Black Panther is pissed (not to mention my wife). I have to be honest, I just recently jumped on the minimates bandwagon, after seeing the new Majik/Warlock pack at TRU and finally just not caring about the price. I had looked at these packs a bunch of times, but it wasn't until I opened the pack and saw how freaking cool these things are that I fell in love. I'm now kicking myself for all the old school packs my TRU had that I passed up, just because I was unsure of what I was getting (Mysterio was hanging on the shelf next to Silver Surfer/Swordsman about a month ago). Now I'm obsessed with these guys, and driving long distances to find a comic shop that carries sets that have been warming their shelves for ages (not having much luck though. I'm a photography student, and I'm eventually going to be a teacher, I shoot with a professional studio setup, and just discovered the love of toy photography (I don't know if there's a place to post my work but...) I'm married and minimates are the first toy that my wife wholeheartedly endorses. She has always been a collector of anything small so this is a perfect fit. I've been basically been sticking to minimates as a collection as of late, because the size is easy enough to display without filling up to many rooms, but I also really want the Neca TMNT toys (although I'm not willing to shell out the customary 250 for a set.) I'm also a big Jack Kirby fan and have picked up most of the DC New Gods Kirby set (if you have a local AJ wright, be on the lookout for these guys, I picked mine up for 3.00 a figure tax included). I love Longboarding in the summer, keeping warm in the winter, and I've recently started sculpting, counterfeit Kaws figures out of super sculpey. Hope your having a great day, take it easy.
  15. Just wondering does anyone know if TRU ever puts out any backstock?
  16. Just snagged the fisherman in all his glorious grandiousity, but my real want is a cheerleader and 3 or 4 zombies so I can make a stop motion short. Does anyone know of any stores to check out for the first few waves of lego minifigs? My local TRU just has the series 3, nothing else.
  17. O.K. I'm about to find out if links are legal here, first off let me say I'm not being commissioned to sell this guys commisions. I don't even know him (or her), and to be honest I've never heard of him (or her) until I checked out his (or hers) work posted through Super Punch. From what I've seen though I would love to know him, (or her?) and before you go thinking I'm just blatantly advertising artwork for sale here, scroll down on his (or her) page and check out the Ivy, Tank Girl, Princess Mononoke, and Miss Harley Quinn, hmm amazing portrait of my favorite super hero/villian done in fun comiquete styling... I'm in. Now the only question is if he (or she) can work in 1:18 scale hehe. http://yfrontninja.livejournal.com/58586.html
  18. It's funny there's a TRU with that exact same line up the only difference is we have a couple of the wonderman/unionjack sets. I think those will be a hot ticket with the new cap movie coming out, or we'll have an updated union to play with.
  19. I fell your pain about wolverine, and the Lizard... My wife has this special way of making me feel like shit about my toys sometimes. For instance, with the Lizard it was just so whats wrong with his legs, they look just a little damaged, maybe you should just return it. Well there's the problem for us minimate collectors, if we return them who knows the next time we'd be able to get the Lizard, defects and all, and my collection would subsequently not be whole. My first Woverine/Mag pack I bought was missing Mags flight stand and his energy balls. I went back to return/exchange it, but I wasn't about to let it go if they didn't have something to exchange it for... I'd rather have good pieces, but I'm about to let it go if I don't have a chance at another. My lizard Legs and Spideys arms are falling off more than Charlie Sheen falls off the wagon BTW. MGM P.S. This just came in from Charlie Sheen, "There's a wagon?"
  20. I went down to TRU this morning to look for some extra packs for a member here, I know they had a few of this wave (9) when I went in yesterday, I bought one lizard/spiderman pack, all they had left for minimates was the pack I bought and 1 Black Lagoon pack, one FF pack, that was it. I was happy that I finished off this wave, but a little disappointed I couldn't help anyone out. I'll check back when the next truck comes in. After picking up my mate I went to check out the lego minifigs they just got in. There was a guy in his late 40's feeling up packs with a stack of 20 or so pulled off to the side. He had print out's telling you what to feel for, and acted like I was interrupting a sacred ritual. I told him the only one I was interested in was the fisherman and he hands me a pack saying that "he's pretty sure it contains said fisherman", "man what a nice guy" I'm thinking. I leave him alone buy my pack and open it up in the car... Indian Chief... I get home and read that they were only shipping one fisherman per box, (I read this on the same site he had print outs from) and the bottoms have little dots used to identify the figs. You really think homeboy was giving me his only chance at that fisherman, or you think I got played, I kind of feel played.
  21. I've tried without much success so far. And yeah, anyone who knows me knows that I ain't no melon farmer. The neck was starting to chip away at the paint and I'm afraid of damaging that ball so I stopped for now. An alternative would probably be scraping the inside of the head a little. This might sound funny but put the figure in the freezer, brew a pot of coffee, shave, ponder how cool magneto will look with his dark face/helmet on, and take the figure out. The head should come off fairly easily now... It sounds weird but this technique has saved me quite a few of my plastic appendages... Good luck MGM P.S. I've seen the new set in my local TRU a total of 2 days, I started buying minimates specifically because I wanted Colossus's little sis, and I have to say I was hooked from the first slide of my exacto against the top and side tape of the box... I'm now eagerly awaiting wave 9 and my wallet is hoping wave 11 is a dud because so far I want everything they're putting out. The Spiderman/Lizard set is plentiful at my TRU and there are a few brown Wolverine/Mag's sets if anyone want's to cover S&H Plus cost I can pick them up the next time I'm there... I don't have Paypal so maybe there's a way to work out some sort of COD through UPS, I'd also be down for trades...
