  1. I picked up a set in Langhorne, PA today.
  2. Why do you say that? since the Thanos Imperative, Richard has been largely forgotten and ignored, from what it seems is editorial mandate. He was replaced as the main Nova in every media appearance, in favor of Sam (with his ongoing, consistent character in Spidey's show, video games, etc) Rich is rarely if ever mentioned by anyone, even those who were with him when he died (Peter Quill and Thanos, alongside Gamora) and talking about the cancerverse Other than vague hints, we might not be seing Rich for at least another 6 months No I get that, I'm curious as to why you think they're doing it. You're post made it seem they have an adverse agenda to Richard. Oh. Not sure why, the name? lol I don't see any reason. Even Ms Marvel, whos name is being loaned out to a new character, still has her identity in some way. Haha fair enough, just don't like to miss out on strange conspiracy theories. Was kind of hoping for a substantiated Gambit to Antarctica thing again haha.

  4. Oh, thanks guys. So no new Marvel figures announced?
  5. ML is my main line, and I have to say that the fear is being blown out of proportion. I think it's safe to say that this doesn't mean much aside from themed waves, which I like anyway. Look at the Wolverine series about to come out...how many of them are in the movie? Iron Man waves...I don't remember seeing Ultron, Crimson Dynamo or Titanium Man in any movies, yet they sit on my shelf. Fact is, you can tie most if not all characters to a themed wave. Gladiator? X-Men wave, he fought them enough and was in their book. Enchantress? Well she's homies with Thor, so Thor or Avengers. You can literally tie in any character to a main team. This is probably just a method to 1) give the retailers a constructive selling point and 2) make us buy a few extra movie figures. And you know what, if it means a better retail presence, that's fine. And if you don't like the movie figures, put em on eBay immediately like I do and make your money back. Lastly, Hasbro is consistently inconsistent. ML disappeared and was replaced with MU, ML comes back, MU dies, year of the small BAFs...two packs, they change every year. Fact is, we've gotten some really cool characters out of them that I wouldn't expect to get (BATROC???), and I don't see a reason why that would stop. ML is a cash cow and they know it. They'll get us product, and the line will continue. I'm not worried at all. ML is not ending. They're just trying to streamline it and package it in a more cohesive manner to retailers. Also of the info we're getting is second hand with a lot of conflicting info, so let's wait until the panel. Fact is, ML will be fine.
  6. Really hoping I can combine Nova and Electro's bases to make an amazing Hydro Man setup.
  7. Pretty underwhelmed by the new TRU wave. Not a fan of the Marvel Now designs, nor the Phoenix 5, although I do understand they're necessary for teams. Hoping to see some more tomorrow, still praying for a Gladiator.
  8. To answer the question, yes. I got into Minimates with the Deadpool wave. The wave contained my two favorite Marvel characters, Deadpool and Gambit, so I picked up both sets and was hooked. I had been an ML collector (and still am), and the completionist kicked in. I found a lot on eBay around late 2009 that contained basically every Marvel release (short of gold Spidey, did have blue suit Xavier), went for $1,280 with shipping. eBay bucks got me $80 back, and I did a cashback promo through Bing (I think it was Bing) for 10% back, making it $1,080. I'm a character completionist, not a figure completionist, so I sold off movie figures, rare variants and character duplicates I didn't care about. I kept well over half of the figures, and after selling what I wanted to move and made a profit on it. So I got around 200-300 figures, and essentially was paid a few hundred for that.
  9. I was there...as a Philly kid, I hated it lol, way too crowded. I missed Philly WW lol. Anywho, I got to see the new figs up close, but the exciting part was the case was broken open when I got there and Morbius was completely exposed. I was just staring at him in aw, and asked one of the workers if I could have him since he'd be stolen soon lol. He quoted me at $1,200. Boooo. Anyway, cool booth, figures looked great (Annihilus!!).
  10. Funny thing, I just brought the original Deadpool minimate to work. I have around...6 Deadpools, all different, and couldn't figure out why I like the original so much...it's the slipover mask. Just makes them more precious IMO.
  11. Seriously, use this guys. It's "one time use," but you can use Chrome's Incognito feature to print multiples with different bar codes. I printed up 6 and hit up every TRU in Philly, buying multiples of the older sets with good bases for $2.69 a pop. Plus it helps move old stock. Did't have one problem.
  12. I scored all 4 sets at Toys R Us today in Philly, the Cottman Ave. location. Got the last MODOK set.
