Scarlet Spider

If this was meant to be a "keep the fans quiet" wave they'd announce a Scarlet Spider.....

Yeah. I found the Thor and the Wolverine.... The wolverine just looks over done. Like a sloppy carelessness about him. Maybe I'll get him Shanester if you are looking for minis let me know. I've been seeing the new ones in targets all around town.

Unfortunattely not yet. I still just need an Iron Man.

LOL. My LCS bumped the "variant" Iron Man up to 29.99. Fools. I smell something fishy still....

Well I looked on eBay and there are a few! They're not even listed as "rare" or "mispaints" or anything.

Theres got to be something different about them. Comic shop was charging $6 more for the "removable helmet" one...

What do you mean "two"? One has a removable helmet. Variant! That's the one I got.... Both of his arms are green all the way!

Target is the only place I've seen them so far. I have managed to get them except for the two iron mans.

I can get my hands on a few of the regular psylockes. New from TRU. If you want me to do that.....

Just like TBT said, we're getting the new ones in San Diego. I picked up the Daredevil Ghostrider two pack.... unless there are other notable figure differences: I'm Done!

Sweet! They're gonna do minimates from the movie Blow??? That would be awesome, play some Ram Jam and make my little johhny depp minimate hump the penelope cruz minimate and do minilines of coke..... SWEET!......

Really?! The only Spider-Man origins figures I have seen have the fixed torso which I think looks weird. I've seen the Symbiot Spidey which is okay, but I have yet to come acros an iron Spidey. DP can you post a pic of Black Spidey out of the packaging. **EDIT** You're right the symbiote spidey does have ML style articulation. I guess I can get over the silver and over the venom V crotch....

Then don't speak...not to be rude and all. I mean honestly. I never said ToyBiz was perfect. BUT I think Jesse Falcon had the line going in a better direction. YOU go to the store check out the ML figures and then formulate your own opinion. Because having no seen them yet, it's not fair for you to shoot down others opinions or thoughts on the ML line. i.e telling me to "shadap." Sorry dude, but the origins figures stink. If they are from previous ToyBiz stuff , then why did Hasbro opt to take 5 steps back instead of one step forward? C'mon companies are always improving their figures. Toy biz's older stuff wasn't that cool. But at the time it was an awesome break through. I remember when Marvel figures had 5 points of articulation and it was the coolest thing ever. Do I want that to return? No. Did ToyBiz ever bring them back? No. Then why did Hasbro bring them back. Look. All I'm saying is the origins figures are nothing new. They have nothing near ML articulation. Nothing near Spider-Man figure articulation. I was hoping to see them breakthrough right out of the gates with an awesome line up or something killer but it was all mediocre at best. Hey...I'm still buyin 'em.....

I don't know if they'll be anything left to go to Big Lots. The leftover Marvel Toy Biz stuff around here flew off the shelves when Target put them on clearance. Now all that's left is a few Spider-Man villians. Same story with the Wal-Marts around here - the only thing left is a few AOA Sabertooths. Even at $5, they refuse to go away. Weird, when did Target do that? I was literally at Target on christmas eve AND in between New Years and I even went Jan 01. NEVER saw them go on clearance. They had NO ML and all the ICONS they couldn't sell were completely gone! ARG!!!! GTM is like Big Lots here in Socal. But actually a little nicer, newer stuff.

I'm buying this first round because I'm addicted to BAFs.... so yeah. I'll keep checking them out but they just don't seem to promising to me. Anyone else notice that their Target has no Marvel ToyBiz stuff anymore but TRU does? I wonder if they'll all be going to Big Lots or Pic N Save or GTM or wherever expired toylines go to die.... that's sad.

Yes I will do a mini one right now. They stink. They don't even have torso articulation. They are fixed in a weird arched position kind of looks like he's letting out a fart... or he's got back spasms. And why the hell is the symbiote Spidey( and venom) black and silver? Not even like the movie costume. Just the regular black white spidey outfit, substitute silver. Very strange. I liked that the spider-man line that toybiz did where basically legends style figures with ball joints and a lot of articulation. The Rhino figure doesn't even have a ball joint in his shoulder or bend at the elbow. It's pretty bad. I think Hasbro is trying to be all cool by using these metallic finishes and they suck. Everything is metallicized but Rhino. Mysterio has a "cool metal finish" or whatever they call it and Spider-Man 2099 is sparkly and again with the silver on Symbiote Spidey and Venom. C'mon, Hasbro! And to go back to my original rant, the pink on my annihilus.... is supposed to be purple. The head piece I got has a dark rich purple. The arm? pink. And another thing. Did ToyBiz ever use the vacumetal look. I thought the stuck with paints on the metallic finishes. Why? well because I think the Ultimate Iron-Man from their Marvel Legends line looks cheap that way. With the plastic vacuformed or whatever its called. grrrrrrr. Ah well what are you gonna do. I'm gonna buy the ML but probably NONE of their other stuff. Looks too cheap and not nearly as high quality as TB.

Just got a few of the new Hasbro Legends figures..... NOT impressed paint is messed up, I'm gonna have to find another White Queen cause her paint is so bad I haven't opened it. I'm just going to hang on to it until I find a better one, then return the messed up one OR just put collectors out of their misery and destroy it with an M-80. OH and the purple parts on Annihilus(sp?) are pink not purple. They look like pink with glitter sprinkled on. OH, and I HATE the origins figures they did for Spider-Man. They are horrible. The rhino hardly moves. NO articulation. I am so disgusted by the new Marvel lines it's not even funny. I wished ToyBiz would have continued to design them and Hasbro only did the distribution on them. However, I am still on the fence about the legends lines. I want them, but I don't think they're any better. I think they're kinda worse. They're 9.99! For fucks sake. The packaging is probably what drove the price up and it is so unnecessary! The packaging is completely uncalled for. I hate Hasbro.

Yeah, hopefully in the new year I can see about casting this(c'mon tax return!!$).... Kinda worried about the joints. However I am supposed to have a beer with Timbo soon... Maybe we can brain storm.

2006 sucked. can't wait to see it gone. I had one highlight and it lasted close to a week long. But other than that. 2006...peace out! Hit it! Scat! Shoo! You're my new least favorite number!
