  1. I don't think there is a Minimates panel based on the schedule. There was a Diamond Select one yesterday night that talked about Minimates. The Youtube link is in the NYCC Reveals thread.
  2. We've had extra characters before though swapping extra parts, and also with a single piece smaller figure. Personally, I'm hoping for build a figure.
  3. Might want to tell him that with his whole "When I post...& please listen fucking carefully......very fucking carefully......." on the previous page.
  4. Then go away. Nice we have a forum where a moderator is the bully.
  5. http://www.bleedingcool.com/2016/08/24/marvel-nycc-exclusive-covers-with-mini-mates-dr-strange-and-champions/ I just saw these got announced for New York Comic Con. How many Minimates covers are there now?
  6. They should have given it to the people who did the Marvel covers.
  7. Those didn't look like hand-painted ones at Toy Fair, so wouldn't they be samples? Huge pics here at the beginning of the gallery. http://www.cooltoyreview.com/2015-toy-fair/2015-International-Toy-Fair-Diamond-Select-Toys-2/default.asp
  8. We already had Chef Duff. So really, this is nothing new. If anything, it makes more sense to me than Duff because of the Jay and Silent Bob stuff they've been doing.
  9. Here's a timeline of dates Digger's relayed through Luke: In August 2012 they were coming in December 2012 In Nov '12 it was Jan '13 Feb '13 -- Mar / Apr '13 Mar '13 -- Summer '13 July '13 -- More info at SDCC Aug '13 -- Production starts Aug '13 Nov '13 -- Not in production yet Mar '14 -- Late summer '14 What's the old saying? "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me eight times...?"
  10. I get why you're upset if you wanted a full figure, I was just putting it out there why I wasn't upset anymore after seeing an in-movie picture. Personally, I'm a bit surprised at all of the anger. Not that people have it, but more that people actually care. We had that poll about a year ago about Heroes that absolutely needed to be made. Rocket came in the finals with less than 1% of the poll. I feel like the love for a full Rocket Raccoon Minimate went from zero to 100 overnight once it was revealed he was a one-piece. Something also tells me it would be equal disappointment from the other side if he were a full-fledged Minimate. I think no matter how they made him, it was never going to win over 100% of us.
  11. http://oyster.ignimgs.com/wordpress/stg.ign.com/2014/02/Guardians_of_the_Galaxy_team1-610x457.jpg This pic was posted on IGN today of the Guardians team. (I can't get the links / attachments to work, or even copy and paste, sorry. Hopefully it works). Anyway, Rocket's looking pretty small. I think a full sized 'mate would look really weird next to the others. It's not just about height, but also mass. Also, Groot's not looking as big as some people are making him out to be. I know he's in the background here, but he still looks shorter than Hulk in the Avengers. I think people (myself included) thought he'd be very large because my only experience with walking trees is Treebeard. I think a short Rocket was a good idea based on this. I wasn't sold until I saw this pic, but now I think anything else would look stupid. I'm okay with large characters being brought down to 2", but small ones brought up seems odd.
  12. That exact piece has also been used on: Marvel Toys R Us 2 / Marvel Villains Box Set - Magneto Marvel New Mutants - Sunspot For A Few Dollars More - El Indio Knight Rider - Garthe Knight I'm sure there's probably a couple more, but hopefully this is a start for you.
  13. They announced work on a next-gen sequel a couple of weeks ago, actually. (Just type Tomb Raider Sequel into Google, there's many articles!)
  14. If they picked up the license, I would hope that means we should get normal updates directly from DST now as if it were any other license.
  15. I don't think it would be enough for DST to get by though...
  16. Lobsterman and Karamazov say how I feel best in the posts above. I know Minimates were never the reason behind it, but I do feel they were a means to an end as well. And that's what upsets me most here is I feel we were used. Not just us, but the Minimates name is being used as well to get what Digger wants in the end. Seems odd that in interviews over the years he's sounded disappointed in how Minimates now are, and yet in all of the credits on this project he's "Creator of Minimates Toys". Maybe so many incentive promises shouldn't have been made (Minimates or not) if they couldn't be seen through to completion in the timeline they said. If the Kickstarter wasn't to fund the incentives, then there's no reason why the incentives (Minimates or otherwise) couldn't have been more ready to go.
  17. So, the pilot's up and available now according to Digger's Facebook page. But something about the Minimates still doesn't feel right to me here. - with what Onyx_6 was told, it sounds like they are saying production on the pilot is why there was an incentive delay? The Kickstarter was for post-production on the pilot. They showed that footage was filmed in the Kickstarter page before funding was complete. So, it took 1 full year to do post-production on a 16 minute pilot, with no time being allotted to the incentives? - screenings of Agent 88 have been listed as happening back on May 23rd on Digger's Facebook page. So, what has been going on for the past 2.5 months that they couldn't start on the other incentives? They really had to wait until it was released? - what does Diamond have to do with the production of the pilot that they couldn't have the Minimates done by now? I've got the impression it doesn't take a full year to make Minimates, and designs were shown before the Kickstarter was over. Why does the completion of the pilot mean the Minimates won't be far behind? The two should not affect each other as far as I can tell. At this point, I don't really believe any e-mail updates from friends of Digger, or texts to Luke from Digger, or whatever. I'm only going to believe anything Zach says about what's going on with the production. (I want to point out to Onyx specifically that I'm not calling him out on this, he's just relaying what he was told, and I appreciate you sharing the info. I just don't know why we can't get official updates from Diamond on this.)
  18. Joss Whedon confirmed Pym's not in Avengers 2, and Ultron will have a rewritten origin.
  19. Maybe all of these little answers Chuck gives are his way of saying "no comment" without saying "no comment" because most people wildly speculate when people say that. In the end, we may not be allowed to know the inner business workings of what goes on to make certain series of Minimates. There has to be a money / business / legal end we don't hear about. So, maybe these quick-convention and Q&A answers are a way to say yes or no to things without getting into the politics of it all when he isn't allowed to.
  20. Ady, can you please elaborate, for us non-comic readers? Captain America : Reborn ...............Red Skull takes over Caps body . (shaky bhm precis) It is never physically shown that he's in Cap's body other than (I think) a close up of Cap's eyes and they are little red skulls. The Cap outfit that they have here is from the 90's, so it's unrelated.
