  1. She is great in the game, give her a chance. I use her on a regular basis!
  2. Crossbones is back up! Go get 'em...
  3. Yeah, it's not like we're forcing Ultimates down your throats or anything. Chuck likes Spidey, the Miles costume is cool and the character was getting a lot of buzz, so we decided to give him a slot. ONE slot. The figure he's in a box with is 616. And Chuck is old-school, he goes DEEP on 616 (Stone Men, Sin-Eater, etc.), so I wouldn't worry about an all-Ultimate wave. Look at the sheer amount of 616 Minimates that we currently have and Battlecat & Zach are 100% right on target. We have a huge and deep (I know that just sounds wrong), well balanced 616 collection. We have a handful of Ultimate Mates at best. Maybe 1-2% at best of the overall collection. Yes we still have a few gaping holes in the 616 universe to fill (Kang, Whirlwind, The Brotherhood, Wrecking Crew, Mockingbird, Tigra, Songbird, Ghost to name a new) but we do have an amazing collection overall. MOC- that's a bit narrow minded of a statement in regards to the Ultimate titles. I am a firm believer of to each their own. I for one happen to really enjoy the Ultimate Universe, especially the current revamp. After years of reading 616 Spidey and tolerating a lot of bad story telling, Brand New Day broke my camels back. Having so many different writers voices in the mix in order to maintain the 3x a month schedule lost me. I shifted over to Ultimate Spidey who I've been with since issue 1. I don't knock those who stayed with 616, to each their own.
  4. Must have, I got a shipping notice today from CSC.
  5. Cigar hand on JJJ? There was the Chameleon variant JJJ, and the cigar hand with King Pin but not JJJ. Did I miss one somewhere along the way?
  6. Suck it up like a lot of us did? I sold off my extra cap com mates for $5 each, so I got what I paid for them, kept the Marvel ones and I am now a happy camper.
  7. I wouldn't expect to se them at Downtown Disney. Walt Disney Attractions & The Disney Store are completely different business divisions with very little cross over merchandise. Especially if they say Disney Store exclusive on it then that will most likely be the only place to find them. The few times they have shared something it has been an in-house product and had both WDA & DS on it.
  8. Even battle beasts, which they have the rights to. They still don't know how to launch BB after all this years. I now wonder if they will ever find a way to release them. DST more said that they want to wait until they have the staff & resources to properly devote to it. They talked about all the licenses they have on their plate currently, being a small staff and not wanting to do a half ass job with BB, which I respect. I made the trip, needed to get away from the con crowd madness for a few minutes. Went over Friday evening, they had plenty in stock since they were selling them at a limit of 2 per person. Opening them up later today, I can take pictures if anybody is interested.
  9. Just the concept/control art. Looks good. DST was all jazzed to mention that there is a Minimate inside the big head/body. Beyond that it was a pretty lackluster panel. DST posted everything on Facebook Wednesday that they had on display, nothing was held back for today. A bit dry on the presentation. The stop-motion video was cute but a waste of resources IMO. Digger's presence at the panel was nice but he felt a bit... jaded. Lots of mention of what his original vision of Minimates was as a platform for original concepts, designer art and new ideas which directly clashed with what Chuck said the mission is now. Kind of a weird vibe. Zach was really nice, spoke a bit in the booth afterwards. Sounds like no plans to find a home for the "lost" Borders Thor movie packs but he really wants to see the Warriors Three in comic form soon. Going to work on Kang with Chuck since I mentioned him being the protagonist for the opening arc of the rebooted Avengers series and him being a bit more high profile now. Not much else exciting to report form the panel.
  10. Probably not. The Disney Store and Walt Disney Attractions Merchandise are two distinctively different divisions and with very rare exceptions have no crossover. The only thing I have seen them share in recent times are the Vinylmations and some of the Superhero Squad style figure packs. If it's listed as a Disney Store exclusive then most likely that will be the only place to find it. Never say never, I still have friends in the theme parks and would love to have them pick up the exclusives for me but I don't count on it.
  11. Back in stock this morning, got an order in! Now to hope my local TRU gets the other two sets in or they pop up online soon. Will never understand how TRU lists their inventory when they come in set mixed cases...
  12. Mags/Misty are out of stock again...
  13. Could also be Moonstar as Valkerie. Her Valkerie look was her basic costume with a Sif style helmet. Include an extra hair piece for her stand New Mutants look & we would have a winner! DST did hint at finishing the New Mutants team...
  14. Nope, blank orange/brown chest & riser piece underneath. Bummer, it is was good thought.
  15. Nope, ordered a set a few hours ago & got my confirmation e-mail.
  16. SELLING: Thor dump figure singles. Still in box. Asgardian Royal Guard QTY X2 Frost Giant 1 QTY X3 Frost Giant 2 QTY X3 $5.25 each ($5 each if you take them all) plus USPS shipping, either First Class Mail, Parcel Post or Priority Mail. International shipping via $14 USPS Priority Mail Flat Rate box (for one to seven, sadly eight will not fit unless one goes loose. Payment by PayPal. PM if interested! Thanks!
  17. If Luke is not, I only plan to keep a set of the unique and sell/trade off the rest of my army builder case. Let me know if interested, I should have my case in the next day or two and will be happy to let the extras go for my cost + shipping. All claimed! S
  18. A few more shots of my overall collection to show where my Minimates fit in and the overall Man Room expierence. Main view. Retro tin space collection close-up. The Iron Man Armory.
  19. Spent a little bit of time yesterday rearranging for upcoming Minimates onslaught, figure I take a few pictures of my display and share. Very happy and quite proud with how it has turned out, let me know what you think. My overall Minimates display. IKEA Billy bookcases with glass doors, a Benno CD/DVD tower in between them and spice rack tier shelves from the Container Store. Very happy with the choice to go all white. It really makes the figures pop and it reflects light so the shelves look a little bit brighter. The tier shelves are the perfect height for 'mate display, they slide into 2 and fit almost perfectly inside the Billy bookcase. Up close shot of how the display is set up. My MAX pieces, perfect fit in the Benno tower. Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends Spider-Man and his Amazing Enemies Avengers Assemble! Dark Avengers Disassemble! Marvel Knights and WWII Hulk, Cap, Secret Wars and Skrull Invasion JLA, JSA & assorted DCU Superman, Green Lantern Corp, Wonder Woman & misc. DCU. Tweaked John Stewart with the Gamma Hulk parts, funny to see how many people here did the same! The Batcave. The Armory: movie style The Armory: comic book style Fantastic Four & friends plus Marvel Cosmic X-Men: modern, X-Force, AOA, "New" X-Men X-Men: 80's & 90's X-Men: 60's, 70's & 80's Ultimate Universe, X-Men movie-verse Thor movie, promo's & room for 2011 movie invasion Custom mate: J.J. Jameson Simple kit-bash: Chameleon variant JJJ head with Ghostbusters Mayor body. Perfect match and MUCH better than the Chameleon body IMO. Custom mate: Swarm Simple kit-bash: TRU Psylocke with New Mutants Sunspot body. Red Sharpie looked good on eyes but too hard to see with hood on. Need to paint the eyes. Custom mate: James Rhodes Simple kit-bash: Head from War Machine variant, body from Luke cage. There are few other works in progress in the display. Need to print a bat symbol for the Batman Beyond and make wings/cape. Moonstar is still early, need to get an extra Valkerie hair piece and paint her belt/boots. The BSG Viper is going to become the Avengers Quinjet later this week as well as printing X logos for the Stealth Jet. That is my collection in a nut shell. Let me know your thoughts. Thanks!
  20. Yeah, but it's not quite as bad as the camera flash makes it out to be. Jane's is noticeable in person w/o flash, at first I thought the idea was that she's wearing a vest. Agent Coulson you don't notice in person at all, the jacket is a different plastic than the body of course and it reflects lights differently in the picture. The rest match up fairly well, maybe a bit off in gloss/satin finishes due to the cheaper grade plastic. I feel better about these then I do the quality of TRU wave 9. Maybe it was the disspontment after the long hunt, but those were a major let down in person. I don't think the Thor wave looks too bad in person, I was pleasantly surprised overall after being on the fence about more movie 'mates. But then again, like I said I see a vest on Jane when I look at her. S
  21. I almost like him better with hair than helmet but I with the variants and civilian Thor I will have plenty to display w/hair. Nice likeness to Sir Hopkins, nice sculpted details and decent tampos. Just the cheaper plastic makes them a bit shiny. Better looking and brighter color than prototypes but still kind of dull, wish he had at least ONE accessory to spruce him up. A sword would raise my opinion of him greatly. Jacket print doesn't match the purple plastic, the flash really brings it out more then in person. It would have been nice if DST could have done the prototype version. OK but like Loki really needs a weapon accessory. Paint aps are the weakest on him, the flash really brings out the imperfections. I like how DST pulled him off. Sculpted spikes would have been a real nice touch but I knew that would never happen. The head piece works for his noggin. Some sort of blast accessory would have been nice, even something recycled like Ultron's red hand blasts would have worked for me. Plain but nice. Good actor likeness. The megaphone is an odd pale flesh color. Making it solid white would have looked better IMO, but it is a fun new accessory at least. Standard pistol. Overall happy with the series, flesh plastic is a bit on the tan side but the big draw-back is the cheap "shiny" quality the plastic has.
  22. Not too bad, maybe a bit of a tan but decent overall. They are a bit shiny plastic, so a that is a big distracting. Jane's arms & crotch are cast in purple plastic that's a shade or two off from the body paint. Odin's skin tone looks good. Coulson's megaphone is cast in an odd almost flash-like color. Pics tomorrow.
