  1. I've only read about Xbox One thus far. The fact it's not backwards compatible with ANY 360 game or XBox Live Arcade games is a huge mistake. I will not be getting this system. I'm happy with my Retro Duo, 360, Genesis, and Nintendo Wii........and my closet full of board games to play with my two kids when they are old enough.

    ...and throw in an Impossible Man for good measure.
  3. At least these days it's more socially acceptable to be taking photos of random things.
  4. I love these type of shots Zach. Do you get weird looks as you're taking these? I'd imagine you would.

  8. Update-- I always liked the X-Men arcade game and the simple gameboard of Monopoly so I combined the two: The game (as I'm currently developing it) plays similar to Monopoly-without money involved or putting hotels on the board. Instead, players move around the board landing on the colored spaces with the sentinels and must roll a die to see how many Sentinels appear there. On their following turn, they do battle with two dice. One for the X-Men's attack the other, for the Sentinels defense: *If a Sentinel head is rolled on the X-Men dice along with an explosion on the Sentinel dice- the X-Man takes 1 hit and the Sentinel is destroy (this simulates the sentinel throwing/shooting an object before it is destroyed). Players would keep of their health and special ability on this stat card: A player can't fight a boss space until the other remaining spaces are cleared from the Sentinels (marked with a 'cleared!' token) Should a player land on a boss space- they'd treat it the same as the other spaces and then fight the boss when landed on a 2nd time. Players must defeat all the bosses before they can go after Magneto. The cave spaces can be used as a short cut to move across the board. Spaces with Xavier have replaced the Community Chest/Chance card. I'd use these for the pawns: I've yet to test it but I can't help but stare in awe at how fun/cool the board looks. More to come...I hope!
  9. Yeah, that's weird we were both working on the exact same figure. CA-RAZY! Thanks for the plug Liney!
  10. I feel your pain. We had massive rain here a few weeks back in Michigan.... Not only did our basement flood (had to go to 5 different stores to find a new sub-pump-then back track to get more parts to put it all together) but our car flooded as well. Turns out the seedlings from the tree in our yard clotted up the sun roof and channeled all the rain water into a puddle below the drivers seat and behind it as well. Insurance cover that, but not our basement. We had to tear up the new carpet we had installed just last year and still have yet to get to removing the hardwood flooring (which the water crept under as well). The basement used to be my sanctuary- now it's an eyesore. Luckily things were up off the ground, but still water damage is the worst thing I've experienced thus far as a homeowner. I'm so looking forward to moving in the future but I know that day is a long time coming (with me being let go from my job in July and the birth of our son a few days ago- things are tight right now). So that's my story. (:

    I'm still hoping for Mojo. Brood was done well enough- as with Modok. He'd make for a really cool looking figure. Trying to remember/find images of all the characters that didn't make it. Can anyone here find that image and repost it? I'm not having any luck.
  12. I loved the recent film- looking forward to the sequel. Hope to see a Dr. Zaius character soon.
  13. Karnak of the Inhumans recipe now up! http://theminimatecookbook.wordpress.com/
  14. Thanks! Yeah I'm not a fan of cooking myself (like the time I accidentally added powdered sugar instead of flour to a recipe, my wife never let me live that one down)- but I thought the name was catchy enough.
  15. I'm holding off as well. My wife just gave birth to our son (last Sunday) and he finally got to meet his big sister (who just turned two). So my 'fun money' and free time is dramatically cut back- hence the minimate cookbook site (medusa was featured today) I'm doing to still get in some custom fun in-between his diaper changes and nap time. I'm really want to get Shanna, "Sauron", and Onslaught- Maestro looks awesome too- but I just want him from that set. No rush for me but I do miss the thrill of the hunt.
  16. I'm sure this has been asked earlier (I'm just too lazy to scroll back) but.... how did you do that?
  17. Posted my finished bucket head thing custom: http://theminimatecookbook.wordpress.com/2013/05/03/make-your-own-90s-bucket-head-thing/
  18. I have. 90's bucket head thing I finished yesterday. Just need to post.
  19. Thanks. Toyfare #80's article was one of the many inspirations for the blog. As far as the parts selection goes, I went with what I have in my collection. I've yet to crack the 'this piece is also found with/on character xxx'. So the recipes are just that- they can be modified per the individual. I just wanted to get the ball rolling in the general direction. As far as screwing up the names, my bad. (;
