  1. Congrats to all the winners! This certainly was fun doing this and looking at all the other entries. There were so many good ones. I hope they do something like this again. If you're talking about the simple dark one, that was me.
  2. Totally digging the AIM looters picture, Pet Owner Blackbolt too! Keep 'em coming.
  3. That stand that Archangel is on is from the great Japanese Revoltech figure line, I believe.
  4. Saw a fresh case of these in my area today, along with Halo wave 2, Calico Jack Pirates, and the Sony wave.
  5. Yeah, that's right, Johnny Cupcakes! They may not be what most other members here would collect, but they're awesome. I'm talking clothing here, t-shirts mostly. Johnny's been around for nearly 10 years, having over the years open 2 shops in his hometown of Boston, one in LA, and just last month one in London, England. This London shop is actually why I started this tread. You see, Johnny likes to have in-store exclusives. I live in Ohio, nowhere near any of these stores. I was wondering if there's any board members that live near any of these shops that wouldn't mind helping me out in obtaining these in-store exclusives. If there's any other board members that want to do the same, feel free. Here's a link to his official website, where you all can check out what Johnny Cupcakes is all about, the addresses of each shop, and even the online store. I really hope some of you find interest in Johnny Cupcakes, and even more so hope that some of you already know of and love 'em.
  6. So then, the new ratio, let's say 15% of the time, is now 3-3-3-1?
  7. What's real bad about this mixing up with the two exclusive packs is that its made its way to the stores. I found a Sif & Vostagg pack with Civilian Thor & Guard figures in the pack IN THE STORE. I had thought someone had swapped them, although I didn't understand why. Now, I've realized it was the company's fault. What is going on here?
  8. I personally try to stay away from the movie lines, but that doesn't keep me from looking for them. I happened to pick up a set of TRU exclusives yesterday. If anyone is interested in trading for them, PM me.
  9. Quite excited for this wave. Still not sold on the Hulk though.
  10. Pretty positive I'll see these in the stores in my area soon because I just broke down and hit Ebay. Just need the Magneto & Wolverine pack now.
  11. Thanks for the info! Just ordered mine, finally!
  12. Still haven't found these in my area. 2 TRUs that are normally an easy grab for me are now bone dry.
  13. That at least makes a little more sense. I was wondering if there was a whole Banshee storyline I had missed where he flew too close to the sun or something. And my thoughts on female Angel: Angel = Wurthigton Angel Emma = Jean Havoc = Cyclops Beast = Beast Darwin?* = Bobby The first class. In the X-movie universe. *I think I remember that Darwin was supposed to be in this movie too. Darwin is listed on IMDB as a casted character, as is one of the Shaws of whom is played by Kevin Bacon. From what I understood, this movie was supposed to have some heavy Hellfire Club influence, as well as have the full history of the GREAT relationship Xavier and Mags have. For those that don't know, IMDB= Internet Movie Database. Check it out, great source of film and TV.
  14. Found a sealed case at my TRU in Boardman, Ohio. Needless to say, when I left the store, the case was half empty.
  15. Love the color of the armor. It really pops against that shade of green. I've heard of the Santa specials, but never where they're available. How/where have all the other previous ones been released?
  16. Man, I was really hoping for the white skinned, bronze armored color scheme.
  17. Wanting to make Alex and his Droogies, mayhaps?
  18. So I went to an awesome toy store yesterday (hour drive away) and found all three back to the future 4 packs and the 2 pack that has Marty with the guitar. Are these still hard to find? I just collect the Marvel line, so I won't be getting them for myself. Anyone need any of these? Please just PM me.
  19. The blow dry worked like a charm. IT took a couple tries but they are in there and solid. Thank you so much for the suggestion. Now I just need to write a strip featuring Doc Ock now. Glad I could help.
  20. I mentioned this in the Friends and Foes thread. No one there seemed to care. Take off the chest piece, hold it in your hand, and put a hairdryer to it. Just for a minute or so, and not too too close. Put the chest piece on your finger and the arms should pop right in. Worked quite easily for me.
  21. I love the AIM soldiers. With them being tech-based, I wanted to step it up a bit and add more. I cut off a GB 2 Peter's Proton pack from the backpack. I then took an extra set of shield straps. I drilled a hole into the Proton pack and super-glued it to the shield straps, making a proton pack for usable for any minimate.
  22. For those that want the short version, jump to paragraph two. I'm not sure if anyone else posted this. This forum is too long for me to check, so here I go. I got this set a while back, even after hearing of all of the problems. I accepted the problems of everyone, but Doctor Octopus. I tried to put his arms in to no avail. I put him back in the package and decided I'd figure something out someday. Today I was updating my shelves with the new FF TRU set, and decided that I'd just super-glue Doc's arms into his back. I was inspecting the back, giving it one last try, and remembered a trick. I took off Doctor Octopus's stomach/back piece and hit it with the blow dryer on low medium heat for about a minute. I then was able to pop his tentacles into each spot. It was still a bit tight, but took little to no effort to snap in. It helps if you put the back piece on the tip of your finger as you put the tentacles in. Sorry if that was too longwinded or detailed. I was just excited that I fixed my previously completely useless figure. He even stands perfectly on his own. I hope this helps a few people.
  23. Upon opening my SDCC 90's X-men set, I learned that my Battle-Damaged Wolverine was just that. I lifted him out of the package to discover that his left leg was unattached. I investigated further and it was actually the ball-joint on the torso that had broken. Now that's battle damaged. Unfortunately, he's not healing on his own. Has anyone ever contacted DST about a broken lower torso, and received a new one? This is my first time having any problem with a broken part, and I find it quite ironic who it happened with.
