I had to cancel my order with them and buy them elsewhere. But be warned, there's a restocking fee. They made you pay a restocking fee? I had a set on preorder with then and cancelled and got my full amount returned to paypal! If THEY are the ones at fault and the reason why you cannot get the item you should not have to pay a restock fee! T. especially when there is no item to restock in the first place They actually 'waved' the fee in my case but I had to do one of those angry customer foot stomping routines to make it happen. This did involve my pointing out that it made no sense to pay a restocking fee on an item that is not in stock coupled with the fact that I had the opportunity to buy a set at a comic shop but passed on it because I had pre-ordered it w/them (all true, sadly). I agree that the problem extends beyond just Cornerstore and they can't really be held to blame. The restocking fee is standard and posted on their site for all to see prior to purchasing. I ended up buying the variant set from a guy on Amazon and swallowing my pride over the high cost. But dude... I just had to have that version of Iron Man w/a nose!

Yes, I was stunned by Ellis' run and am actually quite enjoying the new issues as well (there was a dip in quality for a moment there, though). I just got a notice that my TRU Dark Avengers set was shipped out. My fingers are crossed on my pre-order w/AFX for the SDCC09 set. I have to add that I am a complete sucker for the Dark Avengers. It just really mixes up the status quot in ways that Marvel editorial has been doing since Civil War. The new Ms. Marvel and Dark Wolverine books are just excellent. If anyone is interested I will certainly write up an article on the Dark Reign minis on my blog http://dailypop.wordpress.com/ as well to bring you up to speed.

I had to break down and buy it on ebay (only $13 so not too bad). I have to say that the Bullseye mini is just spectacular; lots of detail, two sets of accessories and EARS!

Why couldn't we get Molecule Man and Mohawk Storm!!?? This set is pretty lame.

Hey all, I'm new to the boards so I wanted to introduce myself. I'm a middle-aged toy enthusiast going through his third-life crisis. I am a small press publisher of online and print sci-fi comics called zebramag.com and maintain a daily blog that you may find fun which covers sci-fi, comics and what-not called dailypop.wordpress.com. I'm a HUGE Marvel Comics fan and have gotten sucked into the Silver, Bronze and recent stuff that they publish. I collect Marvel Minimates like mad. Recently I've re-discovered old anime and am in a giant robot phase consisting of Gigantor and Mazinger. I'm a mess. I work two jobs and have an 8-month old son so I may not be that active on the boards but I wanted to take the time to say hello and thanks for having me!

Hey all! I've been collecting the 'mates for ages and this has got to be the toughest exclusive wave so far. That said, I have to admit that I got the wonder-Man/Union Jack set by chance so my mini-luck may be spent. The local TRU is just disgusting. I went this week and saw a used diaper in a shopping cart right by the front door. So my hopes are low... very very low. What is 'new toy day' typically?
