Wasn't gonna pick up Oil Slick as i didn't like the initial pictures of him but last night i broke down and picked him up...
"Having lost his Swoop in an earlier battle with Durge, Obi Wan had to resort to desperate measures..."
He's pretty cool actually, a lot better than i expected him to be...
-
That was really mindblowing! I've been rappelling when I was in Boy Scouts and when I went to Boot Camp. But this....I mean certain section of the walkway had holes that could have collapsed at any time! Wow that was cool!
Must be an amazing feeling to be up there and to be able to look out on that view...
-
TM2, Basically what Deadpool said, i just used a permanent marker, carefully outlined the raised bits and then blacked them out...
Also, my Chelsea F.C 2008/2009 shirt turned up last week...
Quite proud of that although i have had to explain to a few of my football mates who Bruticus was and how it relates to me...
-
Someone pointed me towards this video and i still find it awe inspiring...
I probably find it fascinating because there's absolutely no chance that you would get me up that high without the use of sedatives
-
The soundtrack wasn't that fantastic...
The Steve Jablonsky score on the other hand...
In my opinion a winner all the way *nods*
-
Overall i liked the first film, it was good for what it was and it could have been a hell of a lot worse than it was i guess...

What does Slag mean in the uk?
Slag is a pejorative slang term, primarily used in the United Kingdom, the Republic of Ireland and Australia, to describe women who engage in casual sex and promiscuous behaviour. Its meaning is broadly similar to the terms "slut" and "skank" but generally considered a harsher term.
I FINALLY found Wave 3 today. They look great! What did you use to add the black to Snarl's club?I just carefully outlined the area to be coloured with a black permanent marker and then filled it in...
It worked well when i used it to black out my spare MM Aragorn so i thought why not...
Easy to touch up if it gets scratched as well

Anybody else looking foreward to "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen?"
I am but i'm probably in the minority of people who actually enjoyed the first film
On a separate note, my other two Animated Dinobots turned up yesterday...
Swoop is OK but Slag is awesome!!!
And yeah, i know that Hasbro didn't use the name Slag because of the meaning in the UK but as far as i'm concerned, he's Slag, end of story...

I felt the same way, which was strange, because Prowl is one of my favorite Autobot designs, and I could care less about Sunstreaker. Unfortunately, I think the Prowl mold just isn't very good, and I don't think the Reprolabels would be much help, honestly. Doesn't matter much to me, though. I've already got a great, iconic, updated Prowl in my collection.
Sort of why i'm holding off buying Onslaught to be honest...He looks an amazing figure but so did Prowl in all the initial pictures...
I'm gonna give the Reprolabels a go, can't hurt to try and can't make him look any worse *shrugs*
-
I also managed to pick up Universe/Classics 2.0 Prowl and Sunstreaker yesterday...
Sunstreaker is actually pretty good, Prowl i like but he somehow manages to leave me with a bad taste in my mouth...
I don't know if it's because he feels knock off cheapish or because of the total lack of detail on the arms and thighs...
But i'm gonna try ordering the upgrade stickers from Reprolabels and see if that helps sway my opinion because i want to like him, i really do...

I had seen those customs on ebay and was tempted to bid but these customizers want outrageous amounts, quite ridiculous. Plus, with official ones coming, no need =)
See, i sort of agree and don't...you're paying for a custom figure, a (possibly) one off figure that nobody else has and that someone has spent time and money to make and poured their energy into, much like a lot of the customisers here...
That to me makes it special although obviously there is a limit (person to person obviously) on how much you spend to get that figure...
And have TF: Animated MM's been announced ?
Also found a custom Bumblebee & Soundwave set of Munnys
-
Talking of Transformers Mighty Muggs, found this on my travels...
Custom made but totally works with the MM body *nods*
-
I might have to pick them up then based solely on the fact of General Grievous, Anakin Skywalker, Darth Vader and the Phase II Clone Trooper...
-
Not that I have seen. The most recently announced Star Wars Kubs are the wave 10 figures (from the Revenge of the Sith) and a new 5 pack with holo-Vader, Christmas Special Chewy, a droid I'm not familiar with, Samuel L. Jackson, and a B-Wing Pilot or something. If you are interested in Star Wars Kubrick news, you should check out www.jedidefender.com for the newest news.
New cartoon-based Kubs wouldn't shock me, as this line seems to be a big seller. Personally, though, I would rather see them release more "original trilogy" figures after series 10.
Cheers dude
By the looks of it in the Clone Wars Handbook (PDF) we're getting some new Galactic Heroes based on the new Clone Wars but as yet i haven't seen anything Kubrick based...
And i might have to pick up the Wave 10 figures depending on who's in it...

This proves my theory. The character choices have nothing to do with what children might want. These are entirely designed with collectors in mind, with the knowledge that the concept of cute, cheap robots alone is enough to have kids buy them.
I agree with that...
After all, what's the chances that the majority of children outside of Japan would know who Victory Saber or Deszaras are...
Personally i would like to see more RH representations of Japanese series characters...
Dai Atlas
Liokaiser
Road Caesar
Black Zarak
God Ginrai
Heinlad
Big Convoy
Magmatron
To name but a few...
-
New Robot Heroes have been announced...
Snarl VS Sharkticon
Cheetor VS Tankor
Perceptor VS Ha
Tigatron VS Inferno
Ricochet VS Pre
Super Op VS RID
Prowl VS Laserbeak
Optimus VS Jetstorm
Victory Saber VS ??
First off a RH Victory Saber has to be full of win!!!
But it'll be interesting to see if the Ricochet vs Pre turns out to be Predaking and that Victory Saber's pack companion is Deszaras...
And yeah, BM Tankor, Jetstorm and hopefully what will turn out to be Fire Convoy...
SWEET!!!

And regarding the WST Dinos, I would ideally have all of those, too, but they are just too damn pricey. I paid nearly 20 for Grimlock because he is so awesome, and I'm sure that I'll shell it out for the forthcoming WST Shockwave and Wheeljack, but not for the secondary Dinobots.
I've only really got all five because i got lucky with a seller i use regularly and trust 100% on ebay...
Not gonna derail this thread so quickly back on topic
Has anything been mentioned about Kubricks for the new Clone Wars Series ?
-
I do love the Justitoys Grimlock, I must say, but some of the Transformers KOs out there seem quite a notch above some KOs of other toy lines that I have seen.
I only managed to pick up Sludge and Swoop recently but i have to say that out of the five i dig Snarl the most...
And yeah, the whole business of KO's is dodgy, some companies put a lot of attention into theirs whereas others just don't seem to care *shrugs*
And i know it's not the place for it but...
-
Cool. Personally, I just got my first KO Kubricks last week in the DBZ-Kubs, and I now have a very bad taste in my mouth regarding KOs. Blech:
That's unfortunate because in my experience it's very hit and miss when it comes to KO's...
I've had some very good KO's in my time, the WST Dinobots, RM Star Saber and Victory Leo and a few SD Gundam spring to mind but i've also had some really crappy KO's...
Sorry to see it didn't work out for you dude...
-
Now you can get a licensed Clone minifig army!
http://cgi.ebay.com/Kubrick-Star-Wars-9-11...1QQcmdZViewItem
Too expensive...
But mine turned up in the post Saturday morning and i've got no complaints...
They'll do for what i've got in mind...
-
And just because this thread has ground to a halt...
I was bored the other week so threw this together...
Soundwave's rendition of "The Touch" at the Decepticon Reunion Party didn't go down quite as well as he'd planned amongst the other Decepticons... -
Cheers for the information dudes...
Thinking i might pick them up anyway because they're Clones and they'll fit in perfectly with a display idea i've got...
-
Can someone do me a favour and tell me if these are an official Kubrick release or just a knock off ?
Basically i'm thinking of picking up a set even though i'm not really collecting mini figures anymore...But for these i'll make an exception because they're Clones and you can never have enough Clones
-
Awesome, thanks for that! Just wanted to make sure he wasn't on some completely different scale like Bumblebee, but no they look great together, I'll definitely be grabbing one now...
I hope the American posters enjoyed the finale today -- I am officially in Animated withdrawal
Sending you a PM!
And Jazz is definitely worth picking up...
What Are You Playing

I've recently gone back to playing Devil May Cry and God of War on the PS2 due to lack of interest in any of the games (until SW: The Force Unleashed is released) currently on release...
