I'm not sure if this comparison has been made, but I find DST and AA to be like mothers. Some days they might take the things you want away from you (Kang), and other days they just seem unfair (Shortpacking). If you're good to them, they reward you (promos, giveaways, fan-requested figures). They don't make you worry if you'll be able to get what you need at the right time (Just look at any Matty Collector MOTU exclusive), because there's always enough for you (Abundance of Minimates released).At the end of the day, though, you know you still love them, and they love you back. ....Was that weird at all?

Great review! and I agree that these are overall pretty boring 'mates. Is it me, or does Arthur look like Willie the Groundskeeper from the Simpsons? He might make for a great quick custom! Except he doesn't have yellow skin.

I'm surprised, nobody has put up anything about the other Box set. So here's a review of mine, if anybody wants a good look at Arthur! (lol shameless plug)

I found wave 3 in Joplin, MO today. Pretty boring set, actually, as I'm a little tired of all of the Spartan repaints.

I bet everybody who bought the set is probably in awe of Beta Ray Bill's awesome, and that's there's nothing up yet. Or something.

Firefighter....Huh. Isn't there a Marvel character who was a Firefighter? Wasn't his name "Monstro"? Maybe it's him...

Yeah, ODST trooper!! I was kind of hoping it was Buck, but oh well. The Hayabusa looks nice, and I'm sure a lot of customizers will use it to make Ryu from Ninja Gaiden.

No idea if this should go into the con topic or here, but I have a question for those people at Comic-Con. If you guys picked up either MvC3 sets, how are the figures? What accessories do they come with?

Only thing with any images of em yet, but apparently we're getting a second Sony Wave, and Halo wave 4 will have Cortana.

Surprisingly, one of my Grab Bags wasn't even a Minimate. I actually got a Kubrick of "Kane" from Aliens. Also, I had gotten a second Grab Bag, and got BD Hulk/Betty Ross from Wave 22. Thanks Luke!

So they went from "Mega-Rage Hulk" to "Gamma-Rage Hulk" to now just Hulk? Odd.

Hey wait a second... If they can push out two MvC3 sets of Recolors for a late July release, then why does it take them until October for the actual figures? Just saying. Also, I don't know if this was brought up, but why make that Alice? No real demand for the game to have Merchandise...Though that EA logo on the front of the box got me thinking. Maybe this is a precursor to EA Minimates?

I have a feeling all of the Marvel retreads are gonna be the Death of this line, and not just the P2 figures. Seriously, I mean, yeah, most of the costumes are based off of ones that have already BEEN 'Mates, so that's kind of hard to fix, but I'd rather not have so many of them at once. On the brighter side, hooray, Haggar!

Got the two non-TRU sticker sets today in the Mail. Overall, I'm really pleased with them, and I hope to see more. Probably my favorite is Jonathan Barnet, I really dig the British naval look. Calico Jack Tom Brown Jonathan Barnet Nukpana (Freaking SHOGTUN hand!)

They are, but I THINK they're a little shorter. I'd take a pic, but for the life of me, I can't find the dang Sackboy. If I find him, though, I'll get a pic. >_>

I found a case once at my LCS, but the thing only had one figure left. I got the Japanese Sackboy, and it seemed good enough. The paint was actually pretty good, though it did feel a little flimsy, probably because of it's size.

I'd say you're lucky, my first Volstagg didn't even have feet. O.O Well you could have swapped that out with any generic feet. The problem with me, is that I have no other legs that could match him.

I was able to get a Nemesis/Morph set, and GUESS WHAT? Nemesis has two right legs. I'm just so lucky.
