  1. arrrgghh! mattel was so close to completing a classic JSA team. i guess we'll never get a classic mister terrific and johnny thunder with t-bolt now...
  2. i like bacholo's artwork myself. very nifty, imho (and he even does his own coloring, too).
  3. i still think it's a shame we haven't gotten a doc sampson 'mate yet. it would be such a simple figure to produce with previously sculpted parts. and am i the only child of the 80s on this board who would have liked a "disco" dazzler instead of that 90s version? (i would have vastly preferred a classic dazzler as the chase figure over that sloppy looking brood-wolvie, but oh well...)
  4. i'm willing to sell my galactus maxi-mate for $60 shipped (US addresses only, sorry) to anyone who is interested...
  5. i'd be willing to let my galactus maximate go for $90 ppd if anyone is interested (see my flea market entry). it's in awesome condition, and i still have the box it came in. US buyers only, though (sorry, but postage overseas would be a real bitch--- that badboy is HEAVY).

    help...

thanks for the info, everybody. i really appreciate it! looks like i'm just gonna have to settle for the regular series 37 lizard with that low-rent, crappy drawn-on face...
  7. sorry for the hassle, but i was hoping someone could give me a little info on those battle beasts 'mates? when these things were first being discussed here i didn't pay any attention because i only collect the marvel and DC 'mates... but NOW i'm thinking that maybe i can use the head from either the silver or gold battle beasts to use in place of that crappy marvel series 37 lizard head. what do ya think--- would that work? or are the helmets on the battle beasts molded onto the heads? and are these battle beasts hard to score on Ebay, by the way? thanks, gang!
  8. to iron cow: awesome work, man! i especially love your dani 'mate. nice, nice, nice!!!
  9. Thanks. This is what I'm gonna do. Defiantly gonna go for a loose BE Iron Man on Ebay but. very nice! so much less bulky than the slip-on mask.
  10. when is series 37 gonna hit comicbook shops, gang??? seems like it's past time for these badboys...
  11. i found all of 'em except the invisible woman/mole man 2-pack today. nice lookin' toys! shout out to pavehawk: did you score on the latest TRU 'mates, bro? how did ya do this time? (i found mine at the TRU on dixie highway)
  12. Do we get a picture of them? I'm picturing a very sad nerd-man shirtless with an overextended beer belly. He is holding an empty Minimate carrying case. Wait a minute. I think I just described myself.
  13. I almost picked them up for you....kicking myself for not going ahead and doing that. dude, i am just really touched that you thought of me--- that is really cool of you! it means a lot to me. and i still have my fingers crossed that maybe the outer loop TRU in louisville will re-stock this series...
  14. Did you find them locally Velvet? well, i only found the betsy braddock/lockjaw set, but yeah--- i found it at the TRU on dixie. thanks again for giving me a heads-up a few weeks ago when these suckers first hit louisville, bro. i'm still kicking myself for being out of town and not checking my email sooner. thanks for the pic, man! both versions are actually pretty damn close in detail AND color.
  15. finally got my grubby lil' mitts on the betsy braddock/lockjaw 2-pack (very nice set!), but i still haven't been able to score the hulbuster iron man/gamma hulk set. i have one question, though: IS the coloring on the hulkbuster iron man minimate's armor comicbook accurate???
  16. cool thread! i'm not sure about the link thingie, but if you do a search on facebook for matthew arthur kennedy (and list louisville, KY ) you'll see MY facebook page.
  17. i have my fingers crossed that you'll get good news on those results for your daughter, jeff. hang in there, dude.
  18. very cool! i'm looking forward to when MY son is old enough to share my dorky funnybook hobbies with me, too (he's currently only 8 months old, so keeping toys AND comics away from him is a very good idea... as he tends to stick anything he grabs in his mouth and slobbers all over it ). side note: my last girlfriend had THAT same tendency, actually (re: sticking things in mouth and slobberin' on it). golly, i miss that gal!
  19. i'm with the rest of ya: they should have given the lizard a sculpted head.
  20. not a bad lil' set. jubilee's drawn-on shades and bishop's drawn on bandanna look kind of crappy, though.
