  1. Taking a break form Trek for a bit, so I started work on Tigra, designed to go over the Cheetah mate. Chest done. Face, arms and legs to follow.
  2. In the end I took some sandpaper to Shaman, took a good 3mm off each leg, 1mm on the top of the belt piece and another 1/2mm from the chest. Made him a bit shorter, but still a bit tall for my liking. I've decided its the hair that's still making him too big now.
  3. Check it out I think a similar polish over silver paint might achieve the look you want.
  4. I was going to suggest nail polish, I know Jeff used it very well on his Jessica Rabbit custom to her dress some sparkle.
  5. It still says access denied, I think I know the TOS jumpsuits you mean, so can give those a try. Just looked again and they now work. Jumpsuits added to my Star Trek mega post on page 11 - 14th August 2013 *Added August 15 2013* TMP Male Class A uniforms to my Star Trek mega post + character specific ones for Spock, Sulu, McCoy and Uhura
  6. I'll have a go, I'm off sick from work and need a distraction from sleeping all day, however those images won't open for me.
  7. I did that liney, it helps a little bit but not much. I might have WIP pics somewhere, I'll look.... That's a bit of a shame then. Would love to see those WIP's if you can find them. Any other suggestions of shortening him?
  8. Sorry to post here after so long, but I've only just got around to purchasing the second boxset from Luke. In regards to the giant boots on Shaman, could I just trim a couple of mm's off the bottom of his legs to balance it out? Or would that makes the peg holes too shallow?
  9. Just a heads up, I've added a load of Trek uniforms over in the decal thread which you can find here > Wonderful Trekkie goodness
  10. Added TNG, DS9 and Voyager uniforms to my Star Trek decal post, so that should be all the major, non movie, uniforms now.
  11. I've added my take on the female Mirror Mirror uniforms to my previous Trek post
  12. I can give it a shot, no promise the colours will match though.
  13. The 25th Anniversary one may have well been a full bridge, I think I had the original one, which was only half. I think I read somewhere they have made improvements to the viewscreen, turbolift door which is great.
  14. I don't know if this has been mentioned on here, or somewhere else on the multiverse, but the old AMT TOS Bridge is being reissued but with some updates. Mainly communicators and viewing tower things on the station. It is also going to be a full bridge as opposed to half! I know in the past members, including myself, have used this as a display piece for their TOS mates so I thought I would pass this on.
  15. I guess it is, well its more my love for Uhura/Nichelle Nichols Plus it keeps me busy.
  16. Why thank you, as long as someone is enjoying my work I'm happy. I wouldn't count myself as a customiser, more a fixer upper really.
  17. Help in what way? I think there are some earlier in the thread based on my old design. But in case here are some updated ones: Face, chest, front, back and sides on the waist piece and the garter piece that can be used for her leg and boot tops.
  18. Just a quick update, done a bit more work on the bridge. The tiny side supports for the steps and handrails were a bit flimsy, so I ripped the same pieces off of my old AMT model in the hope they would be a bit more stable. And they are. I also stole the Captain's chair and station bucket seats. Only problem is it only came with six, and I need 8... I also added this to the decal thread, but thought I would add it here too Salt Vampire
  19. Thanks, the model does come with chairs to make, but they are designed to stay fixed in one space. The one on the pic is form the old AMT model. As some of the model parts, mainly the chairs, and hand rails are a little fiddly I am going to incorporate bits from the plastic kit. Best of both worlds.
  20. Darn. Oh well then. Guess that means crazy shipping rates. Joy.
  21. I don't suppose anyone knows whether TRU in the UK will be getting any of the new Trek mates do they? Or any mates for that matter?
  22. Sorry thought I posted one, here you go. Trying to see if I can find any other bridge set ups now.
  23. Decals for the Salt Vampire from The Man Trap episode of Star Trek TOS. Two faces, one with red, one with yellow eyes as I found conflicting images, and a chest and back.
  24. Whilst patiently await for the new Trek mates to reach the UK for a reasonable price I have been working on this, which I came across when searching for something or other on google images. Should anyone be interested you can find the original download here, but you will need to scale it up a bit. I suggest about 79%.
  25. I dusted off my old AMT bridge model to retake some photos of my trek fix ups and realised it wasn't as good as I remembered. The scale was close enough to work with mates but Rand's hair made he as tall as the walls, which bothered me. Plus I didn't paint it that well and was pretty bad when it came to putting the decals on too. While I was looking for reference images to fix it I found this paper bridge model on a papercraft site and thought I would give it a shot. It was way too small for minimates so I had to enlarge it, I decided to go 79% bigger, in order for the stations to be the right height and for Janice not to make everything look small. Been doing bits of it on and off for about a week now, its a bit fiddly in places, even after being enlarged almost twice the size. Going to go over the white edges with a marker or paint when done, but here's a WIP. Mine doesn't look anywhere as good as the pictures in the instructions, which disappoints me a bit, but hey ho. It measures about 35cm across, I think, and about 10cm tall. Again I should point out, I didn't design this, I just found it online
