  1. I'm sure I read somewhere than you can add a bit of paint thinner to chunky paint, and shake thoroughly to get rid of the chunks. Not sure about the thin old however. Some waves did use clear plastic on hairpieces, I know She-Hulk and Lady Loki's are clear underneath. So the paint can be striped off, so that might be worth checking out before trying to paint over them. Hope my rambling was in some way helpful.
  2. In a similar vein, I got excited by this, but after watching the first couple of episodes I still hadn't warmed to the cast. I wouldn't mind seeing a big studio try doing something similar.
  3. I can't offer any help in regards to the bulked up mate, aside form the fact that the face/head should be the same size as a regular mate. In terms of more detailed sketches wouldn't it just be a case of printing the existing template a bit bigger? When I design decals and bits I just measure the chest blocks/head height. For round bits like arms wrap them in a bit of masking tape, mark where they overlap, remove and measure that. I then create a image that size in photoshop. I know you said you dont have the software for that, but I think gimp is free to download. Sorry if that hasn't helped at all.
  4. That's the only film I can tolerate Will Ferrell in, can;t stand the man otherwise Thanks for that pic MisterPL, for some reason I thought the Mugatu was bigger. That should makes thing a lot easier.
  5. That looks better, great job! I might see if I can find Mugatu for cheap, then hack him up and splice some spare pieces together.
  6. He's doesn't look too bad, but I was hoping they would look better together. Maybe I'll have to cobble one together using Sasquatch as a base.
  7. Out of interested does anyone have the 3" mugatu? How does it look with the 2" guys?
  8. I have no love for the 4" scale, but I do love Nichelle Nichols, so I'll pick up Uhura if I ever see her.
  9. I know I've said it before, but I'm in total awe of your decal work. Do you use a laser or inkjet printer? Don't think I've ever seen Fangface but he makes a cool looking minimate.
  10. Scotty is just a different hairpiece right? It makes him look much better I think. Q is a Kirk face? It works for me, though I'm used to seeing him in a Voyager uniform. I also think Sisko's face with some new eyebrows drawn on would work great for Tuvok.
  11. Those all look good, I love seeing people's Trek customs. Ro Laren, Q, the dead red short and transporter Scotty are my favourites.
  12. I haven't read the whole threat,, so forgive me if it's been mentioned/ruled out, but surely Kang is an ideal candidate? Definitely qualifies for 'through the ages' and would give those who missed him the first time round a second chance.
  13. As much as I would like a whole street diorama I haven't gotten quite that ambitious yet. I've just started on this though. A 50's style 'house of the future' for Machine Man and Jocatsa, because the idea of robots in the futuristic 1950's suburbia amused me.

I like the new Vision, was never too fond of the old one, the cape made him leans and his hairpiece thing didn't fit too well. Quicksilver is a welcome update too, I just stuck a black hip piece on mine. I will say that I think the detailing is getting a bit too fine, it doesn't show up too well in my opinion.
  15. If you fancy trying to make some yourself, I would suggest buying a few bits of foam core/board and experiment. Its easy to cut and stick together for structures and you can carve into it or stick printed images to it.
  16. If I recall correctly it was Wolverine and Jean, Storm and Colossus from X3 and Spock and Uhura. Technically I believe Wolverine was the first I removed form the box.
  17. Been doing some more work in some customs, some has been restarted due to mishaps, peeling decals or broken parts. Still got a few stickers/decals to add and paint to tidy up. Noh Assassins Snowbird face Gwen Stacy chest Enchantress WIP Machine Man WIP
  18. If you're not in a hurry for it, I can try doing it for you. In terms of size, as far as I know all the ones in the thread are the right size when downloaded, best to print a test one on some normal paper to make sure of the size and colour. Paper wise you have the option of waterslide transfer paper, or vinyl sticker paper. Both are available for either laser or inkjet printers. I think Luke supplies both on his website.
  19. I can't get my head round 3D sculpting, so I'll leave the tail to someone else! In the mean time here a Marvel Now She-Hulk. Wrists, chest, back and boots. Hopefully colour matched to the MvC Shulky mate.
  20. I have no idea if this would be of any use to anyone, but I was bored: Ursula the sea witch from 'The Little Mermaid.'
  21. I'd buy a good 90% of Cute Cult's list. And as always Jocasta and Machine Man. I really hate the Spider Woman costume, reminds me on the new, now old, Wonder Woman. Which was also awful. I like my superheroes to look like superheroes, with a bit of flair to their threads. She just looks very biker chick to me with silly transforming glasses. I do like the spider logo bit however and its fun to see how they made the glider/wings work.
  22. The hair sculpt on Crystal is top notch! I also never considered applying mask decals over already existing faces. Might have to try that in the future.
  23. Thats so cool, I love the DC minimates standing on the window. Can I ask where the chair came from?
  24. The cast all look great, the only one I think is a bit iffy on the likeness in Leonard. Bernadette and Amy are my favourites out of all of them. Has the chop stick hand been fixed form the proto pictures?
