Thanks! They are all hand painted. I have yet to try using decals. I might try it out someday, but for now I am happy with my methods.

Thanks guys! Most of his wings are made of sheet metal, with a small amount of sculpey around the top and sides for decoration. After baking the sculpey, I also put a coat of superglue over it before painting, to make sure it stayed strong. So the wings are pretty strong since they are mostly metal. If the wings had been ALL sculpey then I would definitely worry about their structural integrity.

Wow, it has been a while since I have posted any new customs! I have been busy with my baby boy, and I also finished my masters degree. But I have been able to get a bunch of customs done in the last few weeks, some commissions, and some for myself. Here are three new ones: Annihilus Annihilus's wings are made from sheet metal and Super Sculpey, as well as his shoulder armor. Miss Marvel Miss Marvel's belt is cut from sheet plastic. Genis-Vell (Captain Marvel) The hair is a modified Nightcrawler hairpiece, and the stars were painted on with a toothpick. I will also have a set of four new minimate customs on display at the upcoming CustomCon in April. I am also sporting a new avatar. I look forward to your comments!

I finally got around to reading this issue, and it actually made me angry, but only because I care about the character so much. Cap should go down fighting to save the world, not shot in the back on the steps of a courthouse. The story seemed much more "real" than "comic book". It was supposed to make the reader feel cheated, like Cap was stolen away from them, and it succeeded. The writing and artwork were very good, and if I hadn't read about his death EVERYWHERE beforehand, it would have been quite shocking. I can't believe Cap is dead. I am still a huge Marvel fan, and I am interested to see what stories come out of this.

Thanks for the full roster. I would LOVE to see Moondragon or Nighthawk, but I agree that it will probably be Doctor Strange, Namor, Hulk, and Surfer if it is in fact a Defenders set.

The last two look really nice. These are on my list of minimates to customize someday. Of course, that list has over 200 characters on it...

I wasn't expecting Dr. Strange! The design looks great!

I think the only hope for this line is if the Toys R Us 4-packs sold well, that they might want more, and DST could release series 2 to them. Otherwise, I think it is very dead. I really had high hopes for this line, and I love the first series. A question has been posed to Chuck about the fate of this series, and if he confirms that we will never see series 2, I am going to have to start customizing like crazy.

These make me want some Watchmen minimates really badly... Nice work!

Congrats! My wife's little brother is a 9 year old uncle to our son. When he first found out we were pregnant, he said "I'm too young to be an uncle!"

That image was proven to be a photoshop recoloring of the real cover, which has "plain old" Iron Man holding Cap's shield. But a nice theory nonetheless.

Definitely the Avengers wave for me. Every figure in that wave looks spectacular.

I really like the cinematography from the trailers I have seen so far. I hope I can see this one in the theater, but I might have to wait for the DVD.

Planet Hulk was awesome, and this looks to be one hell of a sequel to that story.
