  1. Happy birthdays, hopefully most joyous antics ensue for each of you on your special day(s). ^_^
  2. I managed to snag the last MODOK pack at any TRU in the valley last night, phew. Picked up Amaterasu and Thor as well, and i'm quite pleased with all of them. I wish Akuma had an updated "fireball" though. Also happened to find Mirage and Magma ftw. Also, if they made Megaman minimates, I would buy every single villain from the first six games without exception. Also, I'd love the villains from Megaman X. A Storm Eagle minimate would be to die for.
  3. this is an interesting concept. hopefully more than a line of overpriced hot topic shirts comes from this.
  4. Pre-ordered mine from Gamestop. Might get my hands on the Loot Chest edition hopefully, my friend is keeping an eye out for cancelled preorders since I missed the deadline for it.
  5. If Elton John was involved, he'd get another Grammy... and the film would have at least one award under its' belt. Aside from comic fans (and even then, it's still divided), I have not met one person on Earth who has seen Daredevil and not hated it. I thought the Director's Cut was pretty darned sweet, with Coolio haha.
  6. Mr. Quesada, is that you? This makes me wish there was a "Like" feature on here, haha. And to answer the Hellboy question, that still follows a solid continuity to my knowledge- I quit reading it about a year ago now though
  7. I agree wholeheartedly. I wasn't a fan of their choice in music, a classical score would have made the film feel more epic- and wouldn't have made it age poorly like the soundtrack does, haha. I also would prefer the omission of the playground fight scene. Then this movie'd be perfect(ish).
  8. the scary bearded pic of me from two years ago keeps appearing on the left side of my profile, despite the fact that I changed it to my drawing of Peppermint Butler

  9. From what I remember of my old Playmobils from long ago, their hands are Far larger than minimates. I know they're larger than legos, and you definitely have to trim lego items to make 'em fit. check this out though: http://brickarms.com/ there is trimming involved, but less of it and a Killer selection!
  10. I don't have much to add here that hasn't been said, what marvel is doing doesn't surprise me in the least. I already quit following comics two years back- I just got tired of all the bullshit. I need a solid, unchanging canon, and it seems like no one knows how to offer that. So all I read these days are the Adventure Time comics, which may not have a solid canon, per se, but at least it never contradicts itself haha. What I did come here to say is that the title of this thread make me bust out laughing, i'd never heard that phrase before and it completely fits.
  11. Could not have said what I wanted to better, Shane. I personally hold no correlation between the films themselves and the tragedy in Aurora. That being said, I wish that guy the worst on his trip to prison. I have a feeling he's not going to do too well, even inmates don't like people who shoot innocent children.
  12. Welcome home! Your stay here will never end *ominous*
  13. Welcome abroad, always good to have some new blood running around!
  14. Did they ever actually SAY it only took him a day in transit? Bruce was gone for five months. I never thought of his Bane like that, but that kind of hits the nail on the head! And remember the beginning of the 1966 movie, he's running around a pier trying to find a safe place to throw this giant bomb and finally says, "Some days you just can't get rid of a bomb!" Good stuff, and it proves the point. haha. But yeah, I was so entirely satisfied with this film, saw it on Imax opening night. Christopher Nolan has been my favorite director since "The Dark Knight" came out, every one of his films has been so stellar (my favorite being "Insomnia"). I loved Tom Hardy as Bane and adored Anne Hathaway as Selina (loved that they never called her "Catwoman"). I liked J.G.L.'s character, but thought the "Robin" name-drop was just plain lame sauce. That is literally my only complaint with the film. Did anyone else see the whole Talia Al Ghul thing coming from a mile away? I thought it was awesome, but I saw it coming the moment the League of Shadows came up.
  15. happy cake day! hopefully it's a totally rad one!
  16. It's always sad to see a founding-father of the comic world pass away, I think i'll always remember him best for Hawkman.
  17. Brick! That's right haha. I missed out on the pre-order for the Loot Chest version, but my friend who manages a gamestop is gonna try her best to snag me one anyways. I Really wanna get my hands on it
  18. He does seem like the Boba Fett of Borderlands 2- I think everyone's going to want to play as him/her the first time around. I imagine bunches of four player parties roaming around, consisting solely of Zer0s. haha.
  19. Mordecai & Bloodwing were always a close second for me, and I agree about the Berzerker. I can't even remember his proper name, haha. I also plan to play with Zer0 my first time through, he looks like he's gonna be ruttin' crazy.
  20. Seeing as how I shelled out $120 to get Deadpool's emblem tattooed on me, i'm pretty sure i'm going to buy the ever-living crap out of this game. Whatever collector's swag edition they release shall be mine at all cost. I am pretty damned stoked to say the least.
  21. Darksiders 2 looks sweet. Yeah I had all four of the characters almost maxed out on my old PS3, but once I heard about the bonus customization stuff you get for having a Borderlands 1 save file I started a new file with Lillith- I had forgotten how great her Phasewalk ability is! I'm currently trying to get three people together to start a party with me on Borderlands 2, but so far i've only convinced one friend haha.
  22. I've been following the production of this game pretty much since it started, as the first one has been my favorite/most played Playstation 3 game for quite some time now (with Tekken 6 coming in a close second). Is there anyone else as excited about this as I am? And how about the Psycho and Claptrap figures that just came out?
  23. Idk how I feel about this honestly. I adore every era of Batman about as much as one can love comics, but I dislike every other member of the Justice League so much it's ridiculous. That being said, once I see how deep their involvement goes i'll proceed with the decision of buying this or not. The aesthetics of the game should be great either way ^_^
