A really good, and interesting book that I have always loved is "Monster: Autobiography of an LA gang Member" by Sanyika Shakur a.k.a. Cody Scott. I grew up and hung out with people like that. It's interesting for people who didn't grow up like that to have an insight into some gang workings.

Anyone? If you look right below this original post K80 explained a way to tell the difference. If you look at the pictures it's not hard to tell the difference between the 3 3/4" and 12" figures. The smaller figures are all plastic, armor and clothing, and all. The 12" figures have cloth uniforms and better looking headsculpts

I have always been a big fan of the Alien Warriors, and that particular one is the only figure to come with a facehugger. I already have an egg and a chestburster, and this black/gray warrior is just beautiful.

As of right now I am the high bidder on an auction for a MIB Hot Toys Alien Warrior with Facehugger. Please wish me luck, as this is possibly my Holiest of Grails since Andy helped me get my 1/6th Doctor Who figure.

Yes, and No. It IS a Hot Toys Hicks figure. But it's not the 1/6th one. It's one of the HT snap kits that stands about 4 inches or so.

I have had my Leonidas posed in a few different ways since I've had him. One of the ways was him giving the Sparta kick to Blade. The posing did leave creases in the leg. But they did go away after a day or two. I also have had misgivings about the HT muscle bodies since their inception. But I now have the Leonidas, and 2 different Chris Redfield bodies and they have improved in the way that they make them now. There might still be issues in a couple of years, but right now they are excellent

I have rarely had a problem buying from HK sellers. But I don't like to wai a week or so for my stuff, and the shipping can be ridiculous. As for the parting out question: I absolutely LOVE buying loose pieces, mainly because I like to bash my own figures. But it's hard for me to spend a lot of money on a figure that I might only want for a few parts.

I am completely aware of that issue with Hicks' headsculpt. I think whoever repainted the SEAL gunner head did a terrific job. As for the whole Leonidas/Blade dust-up, at least Leo can pay his taxes and didn't resort to doing any crappy b-movie to pay for them

Oh damn! This figure has been on my radar for months. I just might get bitten like Sam did. Well. I can promise that you will absolutely LOVE the figure Shane. I read that you love the comic, and the history of Leonidas and the 300. The figure is just about the epitome of badassness. I posed him giving the sparta deathkick to ol Daywalker and my wife walked up and said "Blade would kick his ass". I nearly divorced her on the spot! Anyhoo, the figure itself is just ridiculous. The only squabble I have with it is that Hot Toys fucked up and put the damage to his helmet over his RIGHT eye. And the extra head that comes with the figure has the scar over his LEFT, like the movie. Other than that I can't complain about anything. If you can find it, get it. And that's one to grow on!

My newest purchase was a Hot Toys Leonidas figure. Oh man that figure is badass. I will take pics in the next couple of days, but right now ol' King Leo is giving the ol' "THIS IS SPARTA" kick to Blade.

Chow Yun Fat was made by Dragon Models Limited (DML) You can routinely find him for cheap. An Obama figure was made by DID, And the new Hot Toys Truetype Advanced African American nude figure has an Obama headsculpt
