  1. This set is everything I want from minimates. Fun, untapped characters, excellent toyetic designs, and a great balance of hero and villain. Here's hoping this becomes the template moving forward.
  2. Boy, that "toy friend" of yours sounds as smart as he is handsome and an all around cool dude.
  3. THAT'S WHAT I'M SAYING! It's the PERFECT four pack! Toss in an 'on the run' Spider-Man and you've got yourself a certified banger!
  4. Nothing against Firestar - she is great and deserves a newer Mate - but man, if we're talking about character Redos for the Clone Saga, it's gotta be a White Suit Doc Ock. I mean, really, Kaine's gotta have someone to murder.
  5. Who knows, maybe we'll get an Echo/Daredevil two pack as an SDCC exclusive. It's like, too perfect to be a real thing.
  6. I'd be in for a Bones through the Ages set of just his civilian getups from all the movies. The man was an impeccable dresser with a flair for amazing jackets.
  7. Your ideas appeal to me and I'd like to subscribe to your newsletter
  8. Did you know there actually is a Larry Hama figure? A six inch guy from Fresh Monkey Fiction.
  9. I'm intrigued by this Deluxe set. Fingers crossed for some kind of turnstile/ring set up
  10. A- Thank you! I'm digging your stuff too; my favorite thing about this is seeing all the fun weird combos everyone is bringing out. B- I reached out to minimated, but who knows. He's a man with a plan. Thank you! And you should totally post again! AGREED! Everyone is really firing on all cylinders and it's incredible to see. Every day I'm in awe of the creativity.
  11. Also Also, Here's a smattering of what I've done so far.
  12. Hey y'all! In case you were not aware, over on the Instagram a bunch of us are celebrating our favorite 2 inch figure line with a month long picture extravaganza. Each week has a theme, each day a suggestion, and so far, every pic has been an inspiration. It's so much fun AND a great way to raise awareness to all the fuddy duddies in our lives that don't know how rad minimates are. You (yes YOU) should come join us! Grab a camera (or your phone) snap a pic and post it with the hashtag #marchofminimates to get in on the action! AND if you tag your pic with @minimated (the legend organizing this whole fiasco) you'll be entered into a weekly drawing for real life prizes. I dare you to find a better deal online than that! And listen, if for whatever reason you don't want to clutter your insta feed with toy pics (which I understand), at least come check out the hashtag and DM your buddies about it. The whole point of this month is to honor minimates and show off how cool they are. Come help us in anyway you can/want. OH! And here's the list of prompts, starting with today 3/13 through the end of the month. Week 2 - Heroes and Villains 13 A Victory 14 A Defeat Week 3 - Movies and TV 15 Super Hero 16 Action/Adventure 17 Sci-Fi 18 Fantasy 19 Comedy 20 Horror 21 AniMATEd Week 4 - Scene Recreations 22 A Comic Cover 23 A movie poster 24 A dramatic Moment 25 A heroic Moment 26A scene with Aliens 27 A scene with Monsters 28 A scene with Machines WEEK 5 - BONUS 29-31 - Create your own characters! 13. THAT'S NEXT WEEK! I almost fell outta my chair!
  14. !!!!!!!!!!!!! I am unbelievably stoked! It feels like just yesterday we got that Fantastic Four set.
  15. Hey thatsa me! Thanks a lot for the shout out Zach. That dumb shot was fun, but real intense to knock out. You can see my super janky setup I did in my kid's room (the darkest room in the house) while I was playing hooky from work, here : https://imgur.com/gallery/FsIBqxA And you sir, made my whole week. Thank you so much!
  16. Slingers, Obvs. But, as a Spider-Man Identity Crisis set. So it would be the classics - Ricochet, Prodigy, Dusk, and Hornet - with a 'fugitive' Spider-Man and a crazy CEO Norman Osborn OR The Trapster. Search your hearts, you know it would be awesome.
  17. I could see this working like the old BTTF license, where each movie gets a four pack with some bonuses and deluxe figure sets. I could see it like: Robocop 1 with Robo (grey), Lewis, Bodickker, and either the Old Man or the Melting Man Robocop 2 with Robo (pearlescent), The Kid, Robocop 2 [with extra Kaine Brain], and Dr Faxx Robocop 3 with Jet pack Robo, Otomo, The kid, Chief Reed. Then I'd hope for exclusives of a bloodied Murphy, Battle Damaged Robo, Vandalized Robo, and random thugs. And finally a deluxe set of ED 209 both in his Robo 1 and Robo 3 incarnations, ala the delorean. Not that I've thought of this line for a while. If only it would happen.
  18. I want to agree with you, but: 1- Major Streaming Event 2- TWO Marvel Legends waves 3- Mystery Mini Funko blind boxes 4- Funko Pops. Seems pretty mainstream-y to me. Personally, I'd be way more excited to get a T'challa Star Lord as an exclusive than as a slot in Wave 83.
  19. So to recap: the Joe set was delayed to NYCC because of a character swap The Transformer set is a cartoon repaint (which looks really cool) presumably Power Rangers got delayed to NYCC too because of license delays and the mystery license has finally been revealed as AEW. So what about that TMNT set? It seems like it got all swept up in the other drama we all forgot about it. Is it still happening?
  20. Clearly the mystery license is Yellowstone: A super popular show about old cowboys that ain't getting cancelled anytime soon. That's about as 180 from 'cult cartoon about a girl rock band' I can think of.
  21. Fingers crossed for that 'There's No Place Like Springfield' set with older versions of Shipwreck, Duke, and Roadblock, Profession Mullaney and a pile of grey goo. I'd buy at least one boxset.
  22. I got an inkling and I need to put it here for prosperity: I think this set is going to be based on The Last Ronin. Either a two pack with the titular turtle and casey jones or a four pack with those two plus like, I dunno April and Baxter Stockman? Honestly, I'm not reading the book cause it's too dang expensive, but I'd still buy the heck out of a set.
  23. Perfect time for a supernatural wave/boxset ala what they did for Spider-Verse. A new Strange, comic accurate Baron Mordo, Mr. Knight, Bushman, uh... Ghost Rider? and Man Wolf? Something like that. It won't happen, but man can dream.
  24. In no particular order: - Mimic - Marrow - Maggott - Caliban - Nate Grey I need crucial weirdos to really make my setups sing. And not for nothing, but you toss a Wolverine, Storm, Beast, and Cannonball in a box set with Maggott and Marrow and suddenly you have that great (and massively undrerated) Joe Kelly team from the mid-90s. I am so IN for this plan.
  25. Has anyone guessed that it might be Fortnite? I mean, lots of accessories and plenty of new hair pieces seems way in line with that wacky aesthetic than say some kind of sporting event. I don't play the game, but I definitely wouldn't say no to any of those figures, if for nothing else than the sheer customization options.
