Found an extra Klaw/Storm exclusive 2-pack at TRU this week... I would gladly trade it for the Series 5 Surfer/Swordsman 2-pack that I missed earlier this year. Please PM me if interested.

Found a fresh case of TRU Wave 4 at two different stores this past week in Chicagoland (Saturday and Wednesday). Woohoo! As posted earlier, 2 Molecule Man/Spiderwomb and 1 Warpath/Angel per case. They raised the prices here to $7.49US... and to top it off, Cook County in Chicago has a 10.75% sales tax. Ouchey... but worth it for Minimate goodness... I pulled an extra Molecule Man / Spiderwoman and added it to my want/have list if anyone is interested.

Hi all... I do not post here all that often, but I do read the threads, and have some potentially sad news to contribute to this topic. I asked a source I have inside DST what the deal was with Marvel Minimates. This person responded to my email on January 8th... I will post an excerpt, with typos and all: "The marvel licesnce war Ours as a whole and we did let the licesnce expire, we have bigger better things in the works that I am not allowed to talk about but i promise you it will be awesome! We are actually working with Marvel to get a small licensce to just do minimates and marvel select but it doesnt look reallly good right now. So yes it is true, but it was no secret i think we announced it before, you now the drill though, you didn't hear anything from me!" The Marvel line is my favorites Minimates line, and this does not sound very promising. I am trying to remain optimistic... I just wanted to share since nobody who posted here previously had gotten an answer from DST yet. This email excerpt is not "official company line", but it WAS revealed by a DST employee associated with Minimates.

Hey punisher... check your aspect ratio on the software you created your banners with... it looks like the banners got "stretched" or "squished" when they were resized... probably because the aspect ratio was not locked? I am no expert (Luke seems to be)... maybe he can offer advice on how to resize your original work without that "warping" effect on the finished product. Thanks for the submission though... I am sure we can find out how to lose the distortion. Any suggestions, guys?

Thanks to TM2_Dinobot and luke314pi for their entries... we appreciate the work, and will use them on the site. We have a Marvel Series 9 Set w/ Variant (4 2-packs) and a 2005 FCBD Blank for each of you. All the banners were terrific and there was really no need for judging due to low participation. Grand prizes for both, and many thanks. If anyone wanted to submit a banner and ran out of time, we would be happy to give out a lesser prize for late entries. I love that site! Too funny... does anyone know how to contact Donald Brosius? I don't know if he has a handle here on Multiverse. I would like to get in touch with him. Aquaman, It's never too late to start. The fun IS in the hunt... I got introduced to Minimates late last year, and only watched from afar. This spring, I bought my first mates. OK gang, I need some feedback here, because this is really stumping me... I have noticed all DST cases for minimates are hand numbered on the sides. Most Marvel Series are numbered # xxx of 2500... and some series were even produced 5000 cases. I noticed that my Star Trek TOS cases are numbered # xxx of 900. That is an insanely low production run. If this was ALL they produced, how do they make money? 900 cases x 12 packages = 10,800 total 2 packs. Let's say they net a couple bucks off of each package... can we really believe that DST only profited $20k off the production of this wave? And only 900 Variants exist? That is pretty rare. Maybe the unavailability of reorders (heresay, I am just repeating what I read from other posts this week) is temporary, and more will be produced? I have no idea. I also noticed that the Marvel Series 16 wave that I received today was limited to 1400 or 1600 cases. (I can't remember, they are out in my car at the moment). Seems strange they would cut production so drastically.
