Apologies for the the thread necro... Zach, just wondering what the status of the Invincible line is. Will we see some more Minimates at C2E2 in April? Or something later in the year? I hope this line continues. So many great characters yet to be made.

Great question, YB. I posted a similar question there on Nov. 28th with no reply. What I don't understand is why they can't simply give us a straight answer. And I mean from Digger AND from DST. If DST hasn't been in contact with Digger and the Minimates aren't headed to production why not just say that. And for Digger and Jan, why all the smoke and mirrors? If they don't intend to produce the incentives there's little recourse the backers can take. Just come out and say, "Sorry. We're not producing the Minimates."

I was just about to say that this line would be PERFECT for a playset and then I saw the couch. Brilliant! Luke: Any idea when these will be up for preorder?

I imagine it's more of a monetary issue for Digger at this point. He spent all the money on finishing the project and now simply can't afford to get the rewards produced - Minimates or otherwise. I don't see how DST is in any way culpable here though. I'm sure they agreed to a reduced production price given Digger's relationship with the company but at the end of the day Digger was just hiring them to produce a product. It is a shame that Kickstarter can't intervene somehow. I assumed that the agreement was in some way legally binding, being that a creator simply had to deliver on the rewards promised. I will definitely be more careful in the future with funding projects and I certainly won't be backing any more of Digger's projects on Kickstarter or elsewhere.
