My LCS just got a case in of this wave, and I finally got my Sinister and Nimrod. Sinister is amazing, thank you DST.

Just got Magneto and Zero in the mail, they're pretty cool. I really like Zero's sword. Too bad there's some paint missing on Magneto's right arm but I can cover it up with the energy effects.

Just generally speaking on all this REDACTED/Loki/Villain business...

I feel like it's... at least logically speaking... pretty damned inevitable that the Avengers movie is going to have an Eleventh Hour finale villain we don't know about yet. Loki, while certainly a big name Marvel villain. A classic in his own right. I dunno, I just don't feel he'll cut the mustard for the long haul of this movie. Marvel has something under their hat. I'd bet money on it. And we're not supposed to know it.

I feel like this day in age... quite often... there's the promotional villain... the one we see in commercials up front. All the time. And there's the suprise fangasm villain. The one they keep mostly under their hats until release.

I mean...

Two-Face in Dark Knight... Mark II Whiplash... "Final Battle" Deadpool (okay that one kinda backfired, but I don't think the producers meant for it to) I know there are other examples that slip my mind.

Hell, even in video games... all the Arkham City promo material (spoilers for that ahead btw) said "Hugo Strange! Hugo Strange!" and I kept trying to tell people on video game boards "The final mastermind is NOT going to be Hugo Strange... he just can't support something of the "final encounter" calibur. He's not big enough. There will be a plot twist revealing a true mastermind." but they told me I was wrong, and egad, shock and awe... I was right. I even called Ras as the true mastermind, and correctly predicted their entire plot, I might add. The side-business with Joker and Clayface I didn't unravel, but Hugo and Ras' roles I pretty much had pegged down 100% a month before release. But enough tooting my own horn...

I get the same vibe I got with Arkham with Avengers...

Don't get me wrong, I think Loki has way more capable super-villain prowess than Hugo... but I dunno. Been there. Done that. He's a Thor villain, not an Avengers villain, and we've already seen most of what he brings to the table. I don't feel he's enough for the KABLOW Finale Villain in this movie...

So I predict more.

Be it Thanos, or Super Skrull, or something else entirely. I predict more. And no, not just the drones of the REDACTED army... a real REDACTED Powerhouse. Is what I mean.

Best not to blow their Loki load here anyway. He's fine as a plot device to lead into the real threat... but better to save his true power play for a Thor sequel.

Were DST to put out 4-pack or single-boxed Kree, Skrull, AIM, SHIELD, Hydra, Hand, Dreadnoughts, etc. I'd buy them up quick fast.

I would very seriously support this. Alas - DST doesn't seem to be interested in this idea. Perhaps their research shows that it is, in fact, not a profitable idea?

I somehow missed the control art when it was first posted here, but I saw it in the mini poster that's included with recently released Minimates. These look pretty good but I probably won't pick up the cop since I don't know who she is. I'm most excited for JJJ. Do we know when these will be released?

Just got Dormammu and Trish in the mail, they are amazing. Though it's too bad that each pack only comes with one display stand and that Trish's sword hilt is rubbery.

I think they should reissue the best army builders in one box set. Probably Hydra agent, AIM soldier, Hand Ninja, and Sentinel. I'm sure other people will want a different configuration though. We need single army builders, like they did with the Thor and Iron Man singles.

Do you have the rights to Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3? I'd like to see a new Doctor Strange since Defenders is long sold out and people on eBay want crazy money for him.

We were late to the party on MvC3, and by the time UvMC3 Mates came out we'd be late to the party again, so we may skip UMvC3 and go right to something else. That plan may change, though.

I don't think there's as such a thing as "too late" for video game licenses, especially when there's DLC, especially this gen where DLC is favored by video game companies. People will be playing UMVC3 for years just like they did with MVC2 until a new one comes out. There were still MVC2 tournaments at Evo, the world's biggest fighting game tournament, until MVC3 came out. That's how popular this series is. Before you could download MVC2 to your PS3, a hard copy for PS2 was $60+. I don't remember how much the Xbox and Dreamcast versions were though.

"Crosses fingers". There is still plenty of DLC for UMvC coming out so the ship won't sail for a while.

This would probably be our only chance to get Rocket Raccoon (or is it......!) :tongue: What if we promise to not complain about re-releases of Iron Fist, Dr. Strange, Nova, Ghost Rider, etc (heck, i think we would all embrace them with open arms, especially Ghost Rider)

I'm sorry - can we back that up for a second . . . . 'plenty of DLC for UMvC'. Has this been confirmed? Are we getting more characters on DLC for MvC3????

Not confirmed but we COULD get Cable and X and maybe some other characters from MVC2 if they are in UMVC3 as DLC. With DLC anything is possible.

If I had known Tarantula was going to be this rare I would have hoarded him I think I traded him to a board member or something so it's all good.

So I used the stand that comes with Iron Man vs Arthur, and it fits perfectly in a normal Minimate. It's just that the holes in Iron Man's feet are a bit bigger so the stand doesn't fit.

I considered making an articulated 8" minimate in scale with the Galactus and Sentinel statues, but to have them print it would be over $800.

Wow, that's expensive. And that's solid plastic too right? I think DST should make giant Minimates but have the big pieces be hollow to cut costs.
