  1. Bye guys. I really do appreciate how awesome this website was and is to me. I have met a lot of interesting people, who have been more than friendly with me. But, sadly, I think my interest in things of this nature has died down considerably, so I'd like to take this moment to say 'thank you' to the numerous admins, and again to all of you! This is it, guys.
  2. Christmas was good. I got extremely mad at my mother for buying me a PS3, considering the price and such nonsense, but she did and I am eternally grateful. The PS3 bundle came with The Force Unleashed II and The Prince Of Persia Bluray, and my brother got me Arkham Asylum, which I have been eagerly anticipating for a long time now. I will be online soon, and will let you all know that way we can raise some hell.
  3. Dude, you guys are so sexy. I love each and everyone of you. Thanks so very much. I look forward to being a more avid reader of the video games discussions that go on here.
  4. The light is just to the right of one of the USB plug ins. When you look closer, the light is right next to a little symbol that looks like a cylinder. I don't play online. I really am freaked out by it considering the fact that we couldn't afford this and to find it to be defective would kill me. Thanks for the help guys you've calmed me down a bit. Now with the new info is there anything to fret over? The light is just to the right of one of the USB plug ins. 5. I just got my PS3 yesterday for xmas, and I've played about 8 hours total (not back to back; five yesterday, 3 today) and a little blinking yellow light shows up. My system is working perfectly, but that little light scares me. What's the deal?
  6. KILOWOG. He looks freaking amazing. I think the CG's gonna take some getting used to.
  7. Herbert West - Reanimator has to be one of the best short stories I've ever read.
  8. I got a gift card to Barnes & Noble for my birthday, and I managed to get a killer deal. I bought "Night of the Living Dead" for $4.99, "Dawn of the Dead" for $10.00, and I finally got my hands on H.P. Lovecraft's "At The Mountains of Madness". I have not been able to put it down since I started reading. It is a magnificent book, filled with an amazing mythology. I look forward to reading more Lovecraft soon, but don't know where to start; any suggestions?
  9. Ivan, you just made my day lol. So far the best one was "it just looks like a geocities page". You have my respect.
  10. I've had a blog for almost a year, and finally got a banner for it. My dilemma is my slogan. My slogan right now is "Come See What None of the Buzz Is About", and I hate it. I really, truly do. So I was wondering if any of you guys and gals could possibly aide me in my quest. Just make sure that they're PG-13, that is. I also want to say sorry for posting a new thread on such a useless topic, but I would like to see what ya'll can cook up. Thanks, yo.
  11. DAMN IT SHAMROCK! You always blow my head off with your hellboy customs. Great job man, that figure captures Hellboy perfectly.
  12. The Dead Kennedy's and Beck have fueled my summer as has Miike Snow and Richard Hawley. I just came back from Illinois where my brother DJ's and he introduced me to all of the great house music. Benny Benassi and The Biz and Felix Da Housecat are incredibly dope.
  13. Comedy Death Ray, Doug Loves Movies, Movie Banter, Complete Guide To Everything top my list
  14. Back on the subject of books, I picked up The Strain byChuck Hogan and Guillermo Del Toro and havent been able to put it down. Really suspenseful and full of wit and black humor. Del Toro is my idol for filmmaking and screenwriting and this book is easily one of my favorite things hes done. Read the hell out of The Strain. I also read a book called We by Euegeni Zamyatin, and it blew hard.
  15. very...metallic? eek they don't look terrible but not outstanding.
  16. "Animal" by Miike Snow is madness. I love that song and the music video pwns.
  17. the review is on my blog if you want it a bit more fleshed out. I think the pacing needed work, a bit more back story wouldve been great, but overall there were more positives than negatives. It works as a sequel to Predator and ditches AVP and AVPR.
  18. happy ID4 guys! Be safe and sound while doing the fireworks. You wouldn't want to end up like Jonah Hex, or worse...dead.
  19. dammit. Hans Landa didnt pass thru my head. good choice.
  20. My prayers are with you and your family and, probably, the most important thing you could do is to not let them see you being nervous. Just keep positive and remember that you have a family with us here at MMV in case you need anyone to talk to.
  21. QUICK. Choose your absolute favorite character of film for each one of the categories provided. The only boundaries, if you will, are that the character must be from a film that was from a maximum of two years back. In other words, you can't choose Charles Foster Kane. After each character choice you must provide a brief description of your choice. Game on. I'll start (take not of the categories and keep them the same): ANTAGONIST: Mr. Chow (The Hangover) was chosen because he epitomizes modern douche bagedness. He is also very eccentric, and makes up for what he lacks in stature with attitude. PROTAGONIST: Hellboy (Hellboy II: The Golden Army) is my favorite protagonist from the last 5 years because of his evolution from the first movie to the second. In the first he was a very 2-D character but he experiences a catharsis and evolves in the second. If you want to add new categories feel free to do so but keep the other ones as well.
