  1. I definitely wanna see the end result when finished!!!
  2. Keep your eyes on Amazon, they regularly sell the 1-year memberships well below retail, I think it was on sale for $35 a few weeks ago, but looks like it is $40 now. I can look through my games and see if I still have any free 1-month Gold trials when I get home from work.
  3. I just got my 100% completion on Red Dead last night! What an awesome game, glitches included. Do we have a MMMV multiplayer posse yet? If not, we should start one up. What systems are you guys playing on? I'm on XBox 360.
  4. Yup, technically a New Mutants box set as all of these characters first appeared in the tail end of that series. Cable - NM #87 Deadpool/Domino (as Copycat impersonating her)- NM #98 Feral - NM #99
  5. The Ghostbusters dead horse has been beaten, skinned, and turned into both dogfood and glue. The glue was then used to glue the dogfood into a horse shape to start the process over again. In other words, time to move on to a new license, DST...
  6. I'm guessing there may be a chance that they are following last year's SDCC model with another X-Force boxset to round out the team, similar to Dark Avengers 1 & 2? That may explain why 90's Warpath is in wave 37? If so, that would leave - Cannonball - Shatterstar - Boom Boom? - Siryn? Maybe substitute Stryfe for one of those? Unless the Cable from the announced boxset comes with additional Stryfe armor, that would be sweet! My thoughts on the announced set: - Feral is a great opening for either 1) an official Wolfsbane release or 2) a very easy custom Wolfsbane! - Cable, I'm surprised I like this one as much as I do. Unnecessary, but still cool. - Domino, the only way we'll ever get a Domino Minimate, so I'm happy. - Deadpool, a very necessary re-issue. I like that they are staying the with 'villain' style since we already have the 'goofy' version. I applaud DST for re-releasing him.
  7. Thanks for the head's up, added to blocked bidders list.
  8. Are you inferring that our National pasttime of watching cars go around a giant oval while swigging Natty Light and listening to Larry the Cable Guy stand-up on our iPod's we bought at Wal-Mart....are you saying this may be due to CHINESE PLASTICS!!! It's an invasion, grab your shotguns boys - YEEEEHAW! [but seriously....you may be on to something.]
  9. I can't wait to see how all of these turned out! When do the auctions start Luke?
  10. Thanks mini. I agree about Strider and Legolas, but as they were the first 2 released, Sideshow really stepped it up for the others. Boromir is one of my favorites, but Gandalf takes the cake. Wormtongue, Saruman, and a 20" Sauron would have been EPIC! I don't know why they bothered to come up with the Hobbit-sized body and never made Merry and Pippin??? If nobody here is interested in them, I may just pack them away in the basement and forget about them for a while. There's always hope that the future Hobbit films may renew some interest from Sideshow's sculpters.
  11. Umm...I think I missed the scene in the movie that would produce this figure: "Slimer Blower Ray"
  12. I know this technically needs to go in the buy/sell thread, but as I'm realizing that this board has much more 1:6 scale activity I thought so I might get better results tossing this out here. Would anyone be interested in a complete set of all 7 Sideshow Lord of the Rings 1:6 figures? They are all the Exclusive versions with extra accessories. All are MIB and never opened, I couldn't bring myself to do it. By far the best packaging Sideshow has done for a 12" line yet. I bought all of these new from Sideshow and it really pissed me off that they "unofficially" cancelled the line without at least completing the Fellowship, and as much as I love the figures, I think they bring me more bitterness than joy at this point. Now they have "unofficially" cancelled the 12" Indiana Jones line too. I have quickly come to learn that when Sideshow puts a line "on-hold", you are most likely never going to see anymore figures. Let me know if anyone is interested, I'm only going to part with them as a set of 7. I'm probably going to list them on eBay at some point, but if anyone here wants them, PM me.
  13. This. I don't mean to judge your relationship as I have not met either of you, but in the case of my wife and I (our 13th anniversary is next week!) I had a huge collection of comics (still do) and toys (sold most over the years) before we got married, and this thought never once crossed my mind. It wasn't because I wasn't well-planned before the wedding. It was because the idea of this marriage 'not working' wasn't even in my mind.
  14. I agree. I finally got my champions set a few days ago and I'm having trouble deciding which character I like best. Same - i'm a massive X-Men fan, but it's Ghost Rider & Black Widow that i have trouble picking between for my Favourite figure in this set. I have to go with Ghost Rider, just for the sheer "1970's" of him!
  15. Suddenly, I'm glad I don't follow Dr Who!
  16. Those look great Luke! Very clever design for Firestorm's helmet. Like Nessex, I want to see more of Braniac. Maybe place a dark background behind him to better show off the clear parts?
  17. Series 1 Daredevil, it's what started the obsession. He's been surpassed by the Target "Knights" version, but the original is what got me into Minimates.
  18. Now THERE is a movie that could use a line of Minimates!
