We get John Oliver the following week over here, so haven't seen any of his stuff on FIFA yet. That said, this has been huuuuge news here for years, and is one of the only sports related things that makes me genuinely angry. I couldn't care less if my team (Arsenal) lose, even if I've paid $80 for a ticket, but seeing that clown run football with clearly shady goings on has made my blood boil. Be very interesting to see where FIFA go from here, and Qatar cannot possibly keep the World Cup now given all of the stuff that has happened over there. Thank the lord someone got the bastard eventually.

I've used Ali Express for mine, and they normally work out about a dollar each. The more you buy, the cheaper they are. e.g. One listing could be 10 Iron Men for $10, but then there might be a listing for 50 heroes for about $40. If you got on Ali Express, type in 'decool' or 'block' and you seem to get the most results.

I love that set. Many of the main characters, glow in the dark parts AND the Double Decker Couch? Count me in! And now I finally have a Uni Kitty!!!

Finally got round to opening my parcel last week, and now the long delayed photo! Thanks so much to my elephant. Weirdly I got a pack of beaver nuggets from my secret Santa as well. They are reeeeeal tasty. Love them! And now I have most of the Lego Movie gang, just need to grab a Wyldstyle off eBay and everyone will be here! I reckon my elephant was Luke, as the return address said 'Luke Porter' so not a great deal of detective work needed on that one Thanks again!! We're moving house soon, and as soon as I have my den set up, I will get right on assembling the set. Can't wait!

The minifigures I have are also very good. I'd reckon a child wouldn't tell them apart, but they do have differences on the legs etc. some slight colour differences too. Let us know what the set is like, as have considered a few Iron Man sets.

Thanks Wintersoldier! Will have a look at those. Managed to grab a couple of small gatchapon robots, and a vinyl POP style version of what I would class as the 'main' robot. The white and blue guy.

I love the look of the Gundam models, problem is I have no skill to assemble them. The stuff I saw when on holiday in Japan was mind blowing! Do they do any 'action figures' that are ready to go straight out of the box? Like Figuarts style? Been trying to figure that out for a couple of weeks but didn't really know what I was looking at.

Weird choice of figures in that one. Was hoping for a final scene avengers with Rhodey and Falcon etc.

Short of creating some the experiment you suggested (where, i imagine, a child is isolated in a bubble [a la Species] for the first 10 years of their life and supplied with an equal number of what we would call traditionally boys and traditionally girls toys and clothes, we'll probably never be able to definitively answer the question.So we're all in agreement then? I'm delighted. I've been the one in London a few times, but it's about $35 a ticket! So this should be a much cheaper night out and it's only a 10 minute drive from me.

Got my ticket booked for tomorrow night and can't wait! Also found out my local cinema is getting an IMAX screen in time for Jurassic World, which is huge news. I realize they are 10 a penny in the states, but up until 2 years ago I think we only had 2 in the whole of England.

Does anyone listen to the cracked.com podcast? They touch on sexism (amongst other themes) this week in a very interesting episode.
