  1. as great as the Minimates from the series would be, what I'd be most excited for would be a 2 seater Minimate BATMOBILE from the show! that would kick ALL kinds of @ss!
  2. I'm guessing it's the exclusive. I guess I'll know when my package arrives. I think it is the TRU exclusive set, Entertainment Earth has the first specialty set listed at $17.99 (as opposed to $14.99) and it's not in stock yet on their site. This could be the "initial" TRU shipment since they only show 6 in stock after I ordered mine. Hopefully, these are abundant in-store as I'd like to get multiples but don't want to pay the extra $6 s/h on every set. I don't count on anything though, since the Heralds exclusive never showed up at any of the TRUs near me.
  3. New Mutants is done, yes. However, we're still missing at least Warpath to complete the 90s X-Force. alas, you are correct, I keep thinking of the X-Men Warpath for X-Force holy snit, how did I forget about Siryn? I've been impatiently waiting for her and Banshee for soooo long now.
  4. off topic but, this costume wouldn't have been nearly as ridiculous if the red aspects had been brown instead (save for the eagle and maybe the headband & mask). it would've matched what Cable was wearing at the time and the tassels would've had more of a leather look to them.
  5. found wave 13 in New Hampshire on Wednesday, what a great wave of mates. Kingpin and Punisher are so awesome that I don't mind another Spidey and a dupe of Daredevil. Finishing off X-Force and the New Mutants feels great too. Now bring on 90s X-Factor No sign of the ASM wave, but I ordered the exclusives on TRU.com and have the specialty wave ordered at BBTS so I'm good on these (unless I decide to get more cops that is).
  6. yeah, i read that after i posted  , hopefully they came come back somehow
  7. If I had to take anybody out to include Mystique, I'd say Toad because Blob Pyro and Avalanche are a unit together, but I'm afraid to ever say take out Toad, we'll be waiting another 9 years!! This would be great. Or sub Mystique in for Avalanche, and I'd be fine with that, too, if it raised the set's profile a hair. How about two sets? You could have a Mystique, Destiny, Pyro, Avalanche set for the Fall of the Mutants era, then the 90s Brotherhood with Toad, Phantasia, Blob, and Sauron! Oh wait, I think I might be the only person who would buy both of those..... you're definetly not the only one who would buy both of those sets slipstream...I've been wanting Sauron forever, but he could also fit perfectly in a Savage Land set w/ Ka-Zar, Shanna and Zabu! Too bad they don't do 5 mate sets anymore, I would've helped in the X-Men sets and a Mystique, Pyro, Toad, Blob and Avalanche set would be awesome!
  8. I really hope they can figure out a way to get more (at least the ones shown) pirates out. Maybe the pirates could be folded into the MAX line? I know I'd like to see more things like Knights and Cowboys out of that line, and there really isn't a reason why these all couldn't be in a MAX assortment. that could be really fun. just my $.02
  9. I'm in for the AvX and WD mates for sure. Cyke looks good and was in need of his "modern" look. don't care for the whole Colossurnaut thing, but the mate looks nice. i really like Emma's cape and Hope is obviously the big draw for the set. Def need a new Cable and Bishop 2 pack now IDK, but I'm actually hoping the "80s property involving Bananas" ends up being the Beverly Hills Cop set we never got. Just sayin'....don't fall for the banana in the tailpipe
  10. I was very disappointed when these were cancelled, I was really looking forward to Mr T and Hulk Hogan. I was planning to buy 3 sets for QCs to recreate the WWF team up of T and Hulk and a BA Baracus too.
  11. ah crap in a hat...my tru actually still has some wave 10 on the pegs. unless i can get them to tell me on-hand stock, idk if the number will do me any good
  12. I'd love Blade Runner mates as well. Great movie that deserves some mate love. Def would buy at least 2 additional Fords for Indy and Han customs. Got a pair of Admiral Kirks pants just waiting to be used for ANH Han
  13. wow this one is tough...I've been waiting for Banshee for so long I have to give him my vote, but who else? I'm leaning toward Songbird. My reasoning? As an Avenger, Black Knight will always have a shot at being made, Cmdr Rogers is still kinda modern (& needed for Secret Avengers) and the rest are all Modern/current anyway (even Winter Soldier is current again) so I guess that answers that. Can I add a vote for Blue/Yellow Banshee as the variant?
  14. I think a big part of these selling out so fast on DS.com is that in the time between the FF set and these, a few B&M Disney Stores have closed. Thats why I ordered online anyway, all the previous exclusives I bought in-store.
  15. Movies: Bill & Teds Excellent Adventure/Bogus Journey - a couple 4 packs and a Phone Booth View Askew-niverse - Clerks, Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Dogma, Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back & Clerks 2 (c'mon who doesn't want Mark Hamill's Cocknocker and Carrie Fisher's Nun minimates ) The Princess Bride - would be awesome, ANDRE the GIANT! Kill Bill - enough characters for a couple sets The Matrix - still kinda surprised this never happened, all kinds of possibilities TV: Stargate SG-1 - good for a few 4 packs plus the Stargate and even some Stargate variations from other worlds. A-Team - good for at least 1 4 pack and the van Magnum P.I. - 4 pack and Ferrari (maybe TCs chopper) M*A*S*H -could be fun, a few 4 packs and an army jeep (at least) Buffy/Angel - time to replace the the PALZ (they kept breaking on me ) still a lot of love for these shows X-Files/Lone Gunmen (see above) a least a couple sets worth of characters Buck Rogers - some ships would make this awesome Hardcastle and McCormick w/ the Coyote Dukes of Hazzard - at least two 4 packs and sooo many vehicles to do The Greatest American Hero - easy 4 pack and I still want a B&W Abbott and Costello to go with the Universal Monsters
  16. thanks for the links Lurch if you order from the DisneyStore.com, use promo code L211101E6MKZH05 to get 20% off your order. it knocked $7.80 off the 2 sets ($15.60 each) which ends up covering the standard shipping cost of $7.50. if you live somewhere with no tax, the total ends up being $38.70 shipped
  17. took a trip to the mall to check the Disney Store and was surprised to find that it had closed the next nearest one is 30 miles away, so I'll hopefully be able to score a set either from Luke's or the Disney site. On the plus side, now that KB Toys, Borders and the Disney Store are all gone, I have absolutely no reason to ever go to the mall again.
  18. i'm not sure for how long or if it's been mentioned, but the Loki/Alien General(Fury) set is in stock @ TRU.com. the Hawkeye/Widow pack is out.
  19. Skeets! Yes, just like that. That's what I'd like to see. I'm hoping they do a mini Wasp and Ant-Man slightly different and have them attach around the neck or arm peg of a full sized mate. think of a clear Capt Picard collar with the mini-mini-mate attached. or maybe a "clip on" style, more of a C than an O to attach to a peg. I have a hard time keeping the Surfer attached to Galactus, and would like a little more space between them.
  20. SEVEN?! Wow, someone’s WAAAAAAY over estimating the appeal of the Hulk. “People didn’t really respond to Hulk the first time... or the second time... and hell, we’re sort of lying to ourselves Hulk had any draw in a movie most people probably took as Iron Man 3 and some other guys... but clearly, the world is DEMANDING SIX MORE HULK MOVIES!” (although I assume since he left with Stark at the end two of those movies are Avengers Sequels and four Iron Man cameos, asking Tony if he just wants to hang, oh he’s working? okay, maybe later...) Ruffalo is indeed signed to play Banner for 6 more movies according to this article The future of The Avengers franchise. So it's a good bet we'll see him Minimated eventually, assuming we get mates for future Hulk/Avengers movies of course. Disney/Marvel is banking on the fact that "The Avengers" Hulk is more of a heroic character than he was in his previous movies, and will be more accessible to audiences (and by audiences I mean kids because, lets be honest...it's Disney ). The fact that they are depicting the Hulk as "Banner-controllable" and even showing him capable of speaking, goes a long way to make him more of a kid-friendly, comic book hero as opposed to a mindless monster. The two Hulk movies were (IMO) geared toward the hardcore comic book fans and weren't going to get non-fans into the character the way this version of the Hulk can.
  21. i don't really have any guesses for these sets, but I'd like to see a black/yellow Wasp and a transparent "jolly rancher" Vision. I'd really like to see a Wasp and Antman along the lines of the Silver Surfer that came with Galactus, with a way to attach them to another mate around the neck or arm peg.
  22. i've been looking forward to the Koach for a while now. got the b&w pre ordered now and i'm guessing the reg version is a TRU exclusive crossing my fingers but so far the TRU vehicles have been easy to come by, still waiting for KITT to show up though, so we'll see
  23. I'd love a Ghost Rider wave, plenty of cool options
  24. Did you get to plant any hops Turtle? I looked into it some more and sadly I don't have the outdoor space at my apartment that a hop plant would require  but once I do, a friend offered to split off one of his plants for me. I think tweaking the kits is going to be my next step, it is nice having everything together to start. i've been looking at the True Brew kits and I'm thinking the next one will be an Irish Stout and I might grab another Canadian Ale and try to come up with something interesting to do to it, maybe infuse some fruit or coffee flavor, IDK yet but I'm having fun just thinking about it
  25. I'm happy to say that our first home brewing attempt was a success! the Canadian Ale turned out great and I've nearly gone through the entire 5 gallon batch. The wife and I have shared it with our friends, family and co-workers and have gotten nothing but positive responses. 2 people even went so far as to compare it to something Sam Adams would produce! High praise indeed, but I can't take that kind of credit since this was from a kit (it was nice to hear though ) some even went so far as to try it with a lemon wedge and were impressed with that as well. If anyone is interested in trying this one out, it was a True Brew Canadian Ale kit. Very easy and a lot of fun. We've already got our next batch ready to bottle once I get a couple free hours. This one is a German Style Dark (also a True Brew kit) this one should be great, at least it looks and smells great already. Can't wait to try it.
