  1. I liked the Magneto figure too, but I didn't like Wolvie. Here is some pics of the Cap cycle with the Lego and minimate:
  2. I bought the Quinjet and Cap's cycle today. I was also disappointed that the bike didn't fit in the jet, but I actually think it looks real good next to my Cap minimate. It wasn't nearly as small as I thought it would be. It actually dwarfs the Lego Cap. America. I'm not getting the X-Men set either. I'm not a Deadpool fan and I don't like the helicopter. I'm sure there will be another chance to get a Wolvie. Hopefully Mags will show up again. A Danger Room, X-Mansion, Utopia, or Blackbird would be awesome. I wouldn't worry about these putting minimates out of business, though. The figures are so inferior compared to minimates, but it sure is fun putting the sets together.
  3. Geez, you guys have high qualifications for the A list. I consider most heroes that have carried their own title for several years A listers, as well as characters that your average person might recognize. Daredevil, Thing, Cyclops, Rogue are all still A listers to me. I suppose I would consider the B list to be more like Havok, Falcon, Black Knight, Psylocke. B listers are still well known and have a fan base but are mostly known only in the comic community.
  4. Nessex, I know that Storm was infected. There was a great cover by Paul Smith of her transforming into one. She tried to commit suicide over it.
  5. Oh! Thanks. Yeah, she looks good. I was hoping they would do something like that with her.
  6. I want Moonstar/ Magma. We still haven't seen any pics since the Toy Fair have we? I kinda want to see if Magma will look different ( translucent with maybe veins/swirls of red?).
  7. My area is very slow to get MU, but happily I finally found the Quicksilver/Wonder Man pack and DD/BE pack today. I also found it at my closest Walmart that recently discontinued both MU and G.I.Joe (they are idiots), so go figure. I wanted the Quicksilver/Wonder Man pack more because I wanted to flesh out my Avengers team. My Wonder Man has some QC issues in that his right knee won't move completely and his chest is kinda eschew. He and Quicksilver both use older bucks, but with Wanda coming out soon, I'm glad to have them. Bullseye is a nice update from the old one, but he seems a little large to me. The real star is Daredevil though! I wasn't expecting to like him the most, but he looks so much better that the old one and I'm okay with him being tall and athletic. Here's some pics and I included a pic of the old DD for comparison:
  8. Well, as I said last year, I think we need a lot more Rogue minimates, but since this is MY dream set, I'll pick Storm (I know we're already getting 2 this year and you guys are probably burnt out on her)
  9. I'll be wanting the entire wave (even Wolvie as I've never gotten a brown masked version). It's the first wave I've wanted in over a year. I suppose I'll have to track down the Havok/Storm pack to go with it as well.
  10. Got my Storm/Jill Valentine pack in the mail (from Luke) while I was away this weekend. I found them this morning and I had forgotten all about pre-ordering them so it was a nice surprise.
  11. Just a little diorama I did. What if Cobra took the place of the Nazis at the Well of Souls and G.I.Joe was helping Indiana Jones? ps. I know there are 2 Indys and 2 Dukes... you work with what you have, I guess.
  12. The latest Vintage Wave has been hitting stores in my area. I was really depressed that Kithaba, Aayla Secura, and other figures have been pushed back so that they can celebrate the 3D Phantom Menace re-release. However, I went ahead and picked up some of these: My thoughts: Kinda drab as a whole. Anakin only wore that outfit for a split second at the end, but I was impressed by how articulated they made him. This is the first child action figure I have. I could totally see someone making a Franklin Richards or Power Pack custom out of this guy. Daultay Dofine was very well done despite being a somewhat action-less character. They did a REALLY good job with the fabric on this one. Usually cloth doesn't lay down well on these figures, but it works well on him. I also confess that I have always hated that particular dress Amidala is wearing, but the level of detail in the sculpt is amazing...excellent job for those fans that did like this costume! The rest are alright for who they represent. PS: My Mom thought Quinlan Vos was Maria Shriver! hahaha UPDATE: Just found some more TPM figures today!:
  13. Nessex, that stand was the centerpiece of an old Star Wars board game that came with a video cassette tape sometime in the early 90's. I was shocked that I found it in my closet. The actual game was thrown out long ago. Oh & I agree we need some green-clad X-Men...All 3 of those mentioned!
  14. Just wanted to share some pictures of my X-Men diorama on my counter. It has replaced my Jabba's Palace dio for a while.
  15. I got some of Wave 17 in the mail today. Psylocke is definitely a lot more Greg Land and a lot less Jim Lee, unfortunately, but I'm still glad to have her fill out my X-Men team a little more. Patriot looks good. I still needed to tweak my Storm and add a red jewel on her cape and heels to make her a little more comics-accurate, but I'm so glad you can finally move her arms. Here are some pics.
  16. This wave will definitely be a pass for me... for the obvious reasons. The TRU waves are the only thing holding my interest anymore.
  17. Yeah, I think Wedge was incredibly short-packed. I probably won't get him as I don't even see a close likeness to the actor in the pics I've seen. Since you bought Leia, I was curious if there was anything different about the figure from the previous release? I open my figures so there isn't any reason for me to get her if only the card is different.
  18. I think everyone's upset that Psylocke didn't get a new head sculpt. I wanted Storm to have a new one as well. Unfortunately, I can't pass up two X-women... It'll be a while before we get anymore!
  19. In my area, these two have been very elusive. I finally found a Cable (Baby Hope-less but that's OK), and X-23. I really like her articulation. She's the only 3.75" female I have that you can put in a "come-hither" lounging around pose (as shown).
  20. Thanks! I love that outfit she wore with David Bowie, too. her make-up reminded me of Pris from Blade Runner! Love, love, love anything Annie.
  21. Yeah, he looks great. I wish they had chosen that paint scheme for his regular release. Would everyone say that this X-Force Archangel is probably the holy grail of the MU as of yet?
  22. I know I never design these things anymore, but I was on an Annie Lennox kick this week and realized how often she changed looks... then I realized I had never designed her. So here she is as she dressed in the Sweet Dreams, I Need A Man, and Why? videos:
  23. Exactamundo, Jatta! I love the DC characters, but not one of the toy lines featuring them has anything to offer me, personally. I collect minimates and 3.75 " figures. The only decent DC toys are the DC Universe Classics and they're just too large for me. Just think of all the money they have wasted trying out these "new" toylines, when if they had continued with DC minimates, I swear I would have bought all 25 + members of the Legion of Superheroes by now!
