I've never really been into Star Wars except for the Ewoks as a little kid so this doesn't excite me much. Intriguing, though. But I am only looking forward to Marvel churning out Star Wars themed variant covers like they did with Tron. I probably won't buy them but I would like to see what they put out. Deadpool fighting Boba Fett or Ewoks! So will Star Wars Clone Wars get pulled from Cartoon Network and go to Disney XD to join the Marvel block?

Well, you gotta admit, Ryback/Punk got us to tune in. Cena/Punk wouldn't have gotten this much buzz even though it'd be a much much better match and make sense storyline-wise. I don't even know if we need spoilers since it is just a small group of us but I will conform for common courtesy.

And well, "they" are saying that Vince wants Ryback to win for shock value and that HHH wants Punk to win as to not upset the boys. Who knows? Am I expecting a clean finish, though? Nope. Maybe Vicky will pull a Montreal screwjob when Punk puts the Anaconda Vice on. But Hell No can't lose yet. This isn't really a solid prediction on each match but I'm thinking that if Ryback wins, all other championship matches have the current champions retaining. It might make Ryback winning get a bigger crowd reaction if it's the only title that changes hands. But if any championship title changes hands, Punk retains. Ryback or Punk winning is very hard to call, which honestly makes it interesting. The only last few matches that were hard to call were Rock/Cena at Wrestlemania and Punk/Cena at Chicago. I personally don't want Ryback to win but if he does, he and creative better bring something really really good to the table. I am not a Ryback supporter yet but if this brings about some change that makes things interesting on TV, then I'll go with it.

I've been out of town since these hit but finally went to a normally crappy TRU and was shocked as to what I saw. First they had the latest wave, which before they get weeks after first spotting. Next, the exclusives were untouched! All that were left were 2 each of the exclusives, 1 Rhino/IM pack, and 2 UltSpidey/Cap packs. What a Bizarro TRU... And yeah, QC on the exclusives aren't top notch and I had to choose the lesser of two evils.

Well, I guess I'm a little looser with my definitions. But lifetime achievement awards, I think we can agree on some of those, like Christian and Mark Henry. Not sure if Khali deserves his own category because he doesn't really fit in with them. Jericho would have been in that category but he broke through with his feud with HBK and became much more amazing. And hey, let's just say it, the World Heavyweight title is part lifetime achievement award belt for veterans.

Minimates might last even after I die, but I will die happy knowing I finally got an Onslaught minimate. Wave 50 seems better and better. But man, Best of Wave 2 is much better than I thought. BLACK SPIDEY?!?! With just a simple black head and white eyes?!?! Thank you Chuck! I wish they took off all that blue crap shading, though, but I can deal if they keep the head simple and the block back piece simple black and white so I can reverse it. As for Walking Dead army dumps, I feel like DST should just put a bunch of zombie parts and put it in a bag and sell it. Cuts packaging costs and you build them like you want them. I mean, you can't just have one zombie, you need at least several. Or maybe waves of just zombies in boxsets?

Ah, the K stands for Kofi, huh? I just kind of see Kofi eventually on the Rey Mysterio main event type track. Reliable. Well loved. Good matches. Decent enough on mic. Can fill a void in the main event status when needed (which seems to be now). I mean, Mysterio's runs as champ haven't been that memorable but he keeps floating in and out of the main event circuit helping elevate others. I don't even think he's held the belt that often or very long in either case. But you wouldn't call Mysterio mid-card, right? Kofi just needs to be taken seriously like Mysterio and hopefully not fall like Swagger or Shelton Benjamin. I just never really meant he'd be the next John Cena, but the guy who's constantly next to the "Cena" on posters, DVDs, video game covers, etc.

That's cool. I wish WWE wrestlers would visit my school when I was younger. And I wouldn't mind taking a photo with Alicia Fox. Too bad your wife couldn't get a photo with Kofi and a random Marvel Minimate. He's pretty big comic book guy, I hear. Always curious if they collect minimates too. One of you guys ain't Kofi, are ya? But yeah, Kofi seems to be the safe choice on the next one who will break into the main event scene. I was expecting him to win Money In The Bank this year. I'm actually looking forward to a long term feud with him and the Miz so he can get more mic time.

Ryback with Heyman would definitely signal a new Dangerous Alliance and I'd approve of it. But other than Cena, Orton, and Sheamus there's no other singles good guy around currently. And yeah, Heyman is redundant, but he is so entertaining to watch even when he isn't speaking. He does background sleazy very well. Always holding the title up in the air like he's the champ. Fondling the title when Punk is on the mic. The Punk/Heyman hi five is classic! They need to do that more often!

Yay for Ryback vs Punk at Hell In A Cell main event... Was hoping for a 3-way, though. I am not against Ryback vs Punk in a feud. But for the WWE Championship? I appreciate something new, but I don't know about this. There is only one good thing about him so far. He can manipulate the crowd to chant his catchphrase. Definitely not an easy accomplishment. I could be wrong but I think it took a little bit for DB to get the yes chant going (yeah, the Wrestlemania 18 seconds helped a lot). But come on, Cena had to do a promo for him on Raw. Couldn't he cut some short and sweet intense promo? In my view, he needs a manager to be a mouthpiece. Only capable good guy manager is Teddy Long. He isn't doing much. Anyway, prove me wrong Ryback. Prove me wrong. Prove. Me. Wrong. Prove! Me! Wrong! PROVE! ME! WRONG! :tongue:

Past 2 weeks have been pretty much forgettable. Only interesting things were Ryback botching his finisher on Tensai (Tensai seemed to not help him) and the Punk/crowd incident. I quickly noticed that security isn't following him so it made me think it was a spur of the moment thing or Punk/security was at the wrong place. I don't condone what Punk did but I don't fault him for some measure of self-defense while still trying to do his job. But after watching that scene several times, it took a while to figure out the wrong fan was targeted. The situation sucks for everyone. But I do think it was a mob mentality that just kept snowballing out of control. Probably won't be any WWE talents going into the crowd anytime soon. And I don't feel extremely bad for the fan that got hit since he tried being cool with putting glasses on. I'd want to slap him too.

I'll be surprised if wave 49 doesn't include Superior Spidey and new Iron Man. I don't even know what Superior Spidey looks like but I want him minimated already!!! Is there a date for the NOW wave? It seems like it might come out a year from now. Or rather a year from when NOW! starts... And thanks SuperChefMate for taking time out of your day to keep us updated. I know you could be spending more time doing other stuff there but we appreciate it!

I'm surprised if they went back to the ticketing raffle system. If they set it up like SDCC, Lego should have had people with scanners where they scan the barcode on your badge. Pretty painless and in and out quickly. Perhaps the line was for the Lego Store purchases line? That line is horrible. Just an FYI if you see a person floating around with a scanner. But I haven't kept up to date with it and the giveaway could be done already. Figure looks cool, but I still wouldn't trade my Venom for it.

I thought I saw it several weeks ago at a local Costco. I didn't pay much attention to it other than walking past it and thinking to myself, "cool, Costco got MU now".

It probably would be more likely if Marvel came in and put on a Marvel NOW! logo on on a blank minimate or something. At least that'd promote both Marvel and minimates for FCBD. That's still a long shot, though. But either way, I got a bag each of the past two FCBD mates by buying them via asking my comic shop guy to order them for me. Only way to guarantee getting one.

Just curious, would ML eventually put some of the older figures in newer assortments like the MU line? That's the only way I figure I can get ML FF Spidey without paying scalper prices... And yeah, I've never seen a ML Spidey or probably even half of any wave in stores.

I found translucent Iron Spidey at least a month ago at TRU. I wasn't sure if there was a variant before. But I was thinking they just rereleased Iron Spidey translucent form only with no regular form in the assortment. So that's why I found it and not a scalper? But what do I know? Not sure if it is rare but I'm happy I accidentally found it! And I nabbed FF Spidey off the shelf earlier this week at TRU when I saw the side of it. Then sadly put it back. Sorry, I don't like the shading aspect of it. Looks too weird. And I can never find an ML FF Spidey at retail price. :sad:

Yeah, I was thinking it wasn't shown to the audience after I saw the segment. The dirtsheets are saying the audience didn't see it. Not sure if it was a technical difficulty thing or they not wanting to end the show with Goldberg chants. I don't hate Ryback, I just don't have any connection to him or any strong feelings for the character yet.
