Now that I think of it, it could be DST giving out free gifts to Radical members. I don't know, but the likeliest suspect is the Target promotion. I thought it was odd that I reported first in California before anyone else closer to the East Coast did. Anyway, I'm thankful to get anything free at all. Also, I have no clue what the "Approp. No.: " is. I just got a white bubbled envelope with the minimate inside. EDIT: Just to make it more clearer. I don't see an "Approp. No.: " thing anywhere.

I just got something today! It wasn't from Art Asylum, but rather Diamond Select Toys. Anyway, I got Wizard World Chicago 2005 Blank (white figure). Thanks AA/DST! This is going with my little collection of Wizard World blanks that I never finished due to lack of money.

Good News/Bad News. Good News: I called my local TRU and both the operator and the guy on the floor who handles the section knows about minimates. Usually no one knows what the heck they are. Bad News: The guy on the floor said he hasn't received anything new in a while.

Thanks so much for the info, minijeff! I waited for this set to be on clearance on AFX but it never happened which shocked me. I got one set from another member here, but I've been wanting more since I love Akuma in his red outfit. All I can say is finally. Is the Bison/Chun-Li AFX exclusive set on there too? I might buy another set if it is there...

I love that New Goblin I had high hopes for it and am not disappointed at all. I totally did not expect the snowboard glider, but hey, Silver Surfer passed. The pumpkin bombs, they are awesome.

I'd really prefer a full wave rather than a boxed set since I can't really see a Defender's wave but I can see an Illuminati wave happening. All 6 members or replace one with Black Panter/Skrull/Kree Warrior/Beyoner/Marvel Boy. Each Illuminati member could come with it's own Infinity Gauntlet with their own respective Infinity Gem and the chase could be the golden version of the Classic Iron Man Armor from the AFX exclusive set. :biggrin:

I'm guessing it is a Defender's set. For a Defender's set, I would think Namor is highly possible. If I remember right, Namor hasn't been high on their lists for placement in normal waves in past DST Q&As so a box set would be more likely. And I am hopeful of a new Hulk with big chest and Hulk hands! Those two along with Dr. Strange were the 3 founding members according to Wikipedia. But my guess for the last of the four would be Classic Angel! I can't see Classic Angel placed in a normal wave, unless it was a chase figure to an Archangel. And I guess those news confirmed that no one from here went to the panel at NYCC, otherwise we would have known this. Oh well.

No offense taken, Cappy. I'm the same too, though my comic shop has always been dead on so far. It's always nice to get more confirmation.

I was just informed by my friendly neighborhood comic shop that wave 14 is due out to the west coast states this week. I thought it was the Ghost Rider wave at first so I was disappointed. But I'm happy now. Marvel soon and then DC later this month. It's hard to believe this is happening.

I'm excited about this. This seems to be a nice little thing that DST is doing. I wish we could see pics of the other minimates in the Spider-Man 3 wave, though. It would affect how many sets of these and of the normal waves I would buy. The only hard decision is, how many do I need? One set for the office, one set for my home desk, one set to mingle with the other minimates, another to play with my ML Sentinel, another to keep in package... Oh, how much are these? :tongue: Please be normal price. Please.

One of my Spideys was broke the same way at the knee joint. I was just asking for it though because I was playing "let's play operation and take this minimate apart". It's a fixable thing. I eventually fixed it by getting the broken peg out (which was not easy) and super gluing it back together. Unfortunately, it doesn't look quite the same anymore since the super glue added an extra layer and the full leg is not straight. The shin is just off-center. It was a fun project and I didn't mind since I had about 6 Spideys. Plus, I couldn't bear leaving Spidey in its broken state. I'm actually quite sad to see Harley in that state. Shane, TBT - I hope you are taking care of your Harleys!

If they do get released before the movie, I'd definitely bring them along for the ride. I brought Magneto with me to see X3. Man, that image makes me really want them and also makes me really want to see the movie.

You might need to find some local Mom and Pop shop. That is the only place I can think of that wouldn't be carrying Vista yet, but then you might not be saving any money. Question to everyone else: If you install XP on a Vista pre-installed computer, can you reinstall Vista later? If so, then I would suggest that route Neo. I feel it would be a waste of money if you can't install Vista at a later date.

I would try to hold off as long as you can until Windows Vista gets all its bugs and other issues out. I plan to upgrade to Vista in about a year. My coworker's neighbor had to buy a new computer and it seems all new computers from the big stores are preinstalled with Vista now. The neighbor couldn't use her old printer since Vista did not have a compatible driver yet. So my coworker had to find a special driver online just to get basic printing available. Maybe others here have some more reassuring things to say about switching to Vista. But if you really need one now, what can you do?

Neo, I vote for a picture of your Mii. The only way I can think of doing that is with a digital camera but I don't know how the quality of that would be.

Cobra Racer - Here's an article on that WW#5: LINK I don't read 52, but I have been reading Justice League and WW. I'm a Marvel guy, but I picked up WW because of Heinberg and JL because I heard so much good stuff about Meltzer. I'm not disappointed at all, but I will probably drop WW now that Heinberg isn't around. And I'm conflicted about JL. It's been a good story so far, but the crossover coming up makes me want to drop it. I didn't expect nor want a crossover into another title... but it's been good... but I don't know or understand the JSA... but it's only 2 extra issues... but I still need to financially recover from the Civil War event... I guess I'll decide at the end of the first arc of JL.

In the ad for the Classic Spidey Box Set, is it me or is Sandman not wearing any pants? Yes, I did actually notice that...

I guess pricing varies from shop to shop on these things, but I got mine at $7.99 a pack. Is there an official MSRP for these things? I thought it was $6.99 for some reason but maybe it's just my wishful thinking. If I paid a higher price, it's possibly because of no variant and/or that's the same price of the recent Marvel minimate stuff there and/or they know I'm a sucker for these things. :biggrin:

Technically, Monday was a federal holiday, which some businesses observe. I don't believe Diamond observes it. If they did, they would have a note on their shipping list this week on their website saying their stuff would be delayed. I'm sure we'll get it tomorrow.
