  1. Just FYI he's got stores on Teepublic and Etsy for all your 8 bit needs. I like to put the stickers on comic book boxes. 👍
  2. Did we see anything new during the DST Showcase Days?
  3. HOOOOOOOO boy those are...unexpected. I dunno, I love you DST, but these seem like a complete shot in the dark.
  4. No, my fault, I confused it with the Fan Expo. I don't know if they are doing those any more. I've been to a couple live AEW shows (a Dynamite in Philly and the PPV they did in Newark) and it's a blast. Definitely recommend it to anyone thinking about going. Maybe we should do a MMMV meetup in London for All In in August!
  5. That's a great choice, Luke. In the old days I would expect we'd get him eventually, but with DST's Marvel production slowing down I can't see a scenario where an official one is made.
  6. So yesterday I was in Ollie's Bargain Outlet, looking mostly for cheap graphic novels, but of course I also took a look at the toys. While there I found a set of GI Joe Lego knockoffs; it wasn't Kre-O but something else they released. This set included Snake Eyes and a little vehicle. It looks pretty small, but I figured it was worth the eight bucks to see if it would fit in with Minimates. Unfortunately, this is undoubtedly the shoddiest Lego wannabe that I've ever seen. The design has none of the structural support safeguards that a real Lego release builds in, which is especially problematic in this case as the bricks do not lock in as they are supposed to. I had the thing mostly built but the roof wouldn't stay, and while I was fiddling with that the front assembly fell off. I ended up just boxing the whole thing back up. The sad thing is that it does look like a Minimate would fit in rather well, better than a Lego, but I'll never know. Anyway, if you see one of these sets in the wild don't bother, unless you want to glue the set together or something. At least I got an official Snake Eyes minifig out of the whole thing!
  7. McFarlane's DC line in general, and Super Powers in particular, is aggressively not for me. I dislike pretty much everything about them: the character choices; the designs; the sculpts; you name it. Other than that, great work Todd! A Super Powers branded DC Minimates line, with single cards like the GI Joe line, would be absolutely amazing.
  8. Very cool! I post Minimate photos on Instagram occasionally, but I don't really use it all that much.
  9. Good luck with it; I have one and tried to build it a few years ago but finally gave up because the pieces would not stay together.
  10. The best ones I have found are the Megablox sets, in particular the Call of Duty ones. There's a jeep that fits GI Joes pretty perfectly.
  11. I think we can hope that it BECOMES part of his story. It's possible that everyone involved can see that a feud with The Elite based on their real word issues would be a huge, huge program and make everyone a ton of money. It's also possible that no one wants to work together and he just never comes back. 🤷‍♂️
  12. Can't wait for these! I am deathly afraid that the first box set is going to be cancelled to pull the Punk figure, so I won't be comfortable until I have it in my hands.
  13. I think you're probably right, but they are only about $12 so I might pick one up and see.
  14. Curious if anyone has picked these up, as they look like they would scale pretty perfectly with Minimates: https://smile.amazon.com/G-I-Joe-H-I-S-S-Die-Cast-Destro/dp/B0BNWB7M15/?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_w=GDZhb&content-id=amzn1.sym.bc5f3394-3b4c-4031-8ac0-18107ac75816&pf_rd_p=bc5f3394-3b4c-4031-8ac0-18107ac75816&pf_rd_r=V7AR8JDHW1B0Z1SP1QTA&pd_rd_wg=vNLLn&pd_rd_r=b9dd531c-3d56-479c-8067-fdec1dba4b0c&ref_=pd_gw_ci_mcx_mr_hp_atf_m
  15. I'm not an X-guy, but that set would be a must have.
  16. Zach, I'm sorry, but the Elite isn't complete until we have Brandon Cutler with a video camera. 😄 I am impatiently awaiting the release of these, and I can't wait to pair them up with some of Luke's great customs.
  17. I'll have to think about it. To be honest they have all started the blend together, though like a lot of you I've been pretty down on most of the post-Endgame movies. Far From Home, Shang-Chi, and Love and Thunder are among my bottom five Marvel movies. I think the formula has become so ingrained that I don't really enjoy them all that much any more.
  18. Got my set from Luke yesterday but I can't bring myself to open them. Too dang cool.
