  1. Posted a blog update over at AFI if you want to check it out. HERE Also here is a look at the pencils for page 01 on the comic book pitch...Let me know what you think.
  2. Posted a bunch of new artwork, along with minimate designs that Luke did to the Mini Midnightmen website. The Dax one is attached here, but there are more on the site. The comic book pitch is almost done, then is off to DST... Let me know what you think. http://www.minimidnightmen.com/ Also check out the Facebook page and become a fan, I'll be doing a BIG push once the comic pages are done, but the more FB fans I have the better support I'll have with the pitch.
  3. Got my 1st design sheet from Luke for Count St. Cross. Man it looks great. You can check it out at the site HERE Let me know what you think. - bill
  4. Thanks everyone. I'll keep posting the progress. @Bob H - We're not planning on rolling over The Midnightmen to minimate style exclusively....I think it might be fun to do both. Part of my pitch to DST is to tell stories in minimate style to go along with the toy line, but we're still going to tell regular stories as well. That is if I can find an artist that doesn't flake out on us...but that's another story. @Customizer..I just shot you a mail.... Also here is a "In Progress" design pic of one of the main villains ULTIMA THULE...this is the 1st pic EVER of what he looks like. I hope you enjoy it.
  5. Hey Guys, We're still working on the designs, but I got a web page up with a small gallery of images if you want to check them out. http://www.minimidnightmen.com/ - Bill
  6. Very Sweet Luke....can't wait to pick up a set or 2.
  7. WOW!!! Lots of info here. It seems to me that the DC parts on in the table, but I guess I'll really have to find out from DST. It's very interesting to hear that the pant-ops/tampos are a big cost, I figured those would be pretty cheap..I guess it depends on how many tampos you need. Most of my figures are just the chest and heads, especially the 4 that Luke is mocking up now. It's too bad DST didn't work out a deal to re-use the Marvel parts..or keep the rights to reuse the molds there is such a catalogue out there that it seems like a waste to not reuse them to other lines. ...Oh and Bob...thanks for the heads up on my German....I'll make sure to work on it. - Glad you dig the book!!!.
  8. Thanks for the replies guys....I knew there had been small runs of minimates in the past like Charm City Cakes, but I didn't know about the Goth Girl minimate. So there has been a history of small runs...So some president has been established. As far as what existing Minimate parts to use, the issue with that is I don't know what tooling DST has the rights to use for their own projects. My understanding is that they can't use the Marvel tooling as it's still an existing license. So until I know for sure the designs might have to be minimal.
  9. Hey ya all....I thought I'd chime in here. Thanks so much for your support!!! it's great to see all this feedback. I have to be the 1st to say, I'm new to the Minimate world, so I welcome ANY feedback good or bad. I'm really goona have to look to you guys for some insight. Luke has been great so far, he has given me some great perspective. But I also want to hear from Minimate fans. This idea is a LONG shot, and I'm a realist, the chances of this happening are slim to none, but with a little luck and ALOT of support it might be possible. I'll keep the updates coming and please feel free to become a fan on the facebook page. The more fans/feedback I have the more interest I might be able to get from AA/Diamond. Again fan support for this is KEY. As far as the numbers go. Most factories I know of have minimum runs of 300 - 500 units. My hope is the get these numbers low and as I'll be doing the distribution I might be able to cut out the middle man and keep costs low. I'm not trying to make money here, I'm just trying to make this happen. Thanks again, I'll post some images as soon as I have them.
